  1. It looks different and that makes me twitchy.

Check the personal accounts and i bet they find all that money. Grifters gonna grift.
  3. Upon closer review seems I am confused about the whole situation. Labatt was bought out a lot earlier than I thought. I must be confusing another big merger. Anyway yay kokanee for memories but booo big beer.

Well it is true that when you test more you find more cases. Trump's problem is that he thinks about it in terms of perception rather than a health issue. But really alberta will always have more cases than manitoba because it was a problem here before it was in manitoba. We got an early lead, but right now manitoba is basically in their first wave.
  5. I don't see kokanee as much as I used to either. Ever since they were bought up by one of the big players I guess. Drove through Creston on the way home a couple days ago and was tempted to stop at the store at the Columbia brewery just because kokanee was the go to back in university days, but it was closed at the time.

Not sure i believe that. Alberta had some big outbreaks and jason kenney forced things along quickly but it isn't any more of a **** show right now than manitoba is. I was just in BC for a week and let me tell you here in calgary people are taking precautions a lot more seriously than they are there.

Health care is a provincial responsibility... feds shouldn't be the leaders there.

Dumbkirk is one of my favourites but I also quite like the klanish armada. What a bunch of dumb asses.

I mean if you want to get really technical the test doesn't mean you aren't bringing anything, just that it was negative when you got the test. Says nothing about what happens after that. But let's be honest, the total active cases are still such a small percentage of the population the odds of coming into contact with it are highly unlikely if you are being smart and hand washing and wearing masks. There is no need to be paranoid, just make good choices. Now that might all change once kids are back in school for a while but we will see. Either way you small towners will see it later than the cities anyway. Are there even any active cases in Olds?
  10. Definitely Shivers who turned that gan base into raging assholes.
  11. **** the riders.

No she governed consistently, stupid people just believed that she was responsible for the problems that existed before she became premier. Look i dont care overly much for most ndp, and I never voted ndp. But they were infinitely better than kenney who was always going to be the same shitty premier he is now. You talk about notleys history yet totally gross over the fact that kenney has been a **** weasel is entire life. Alberta was better off with her in charge and the mess you UCP voters gave us will take decades to clean up. I will never let that go.

Except Rachel notley governed pretty much in the centre. No you and your kind ****** us all by knowingly giving a huge mandate to an ideologue like Jason Kenney and the Wild Rose crazies.

If only albertans had put some thought into who they voted for.
  15. 17to85 replied to JCon's topic in General Discussion
Yeah manitoba did a good job initially, but as long as there were cases out there the risk of manitoba getting a wave at some point.
  16. Hey he might have had a gun behind his ear! Police have to make split second decisions! Blame is 50/50.
  17. Well to be fair it's really only one of them. And one other person. Basically 2 people ruined the chat.

That's just it. The best way to stop the spread of this thing is going to come down to people staying home if they're unwell AND for employers to allow people the freedom to stay home. The culture we live in encourages people to work while sick though.
  19. 17to85 replied to JCon's topic in General Discussion
Yeah masks aren't perfect, but they do work to slow the spread and there is lots of evidence to support that. Yeah they're uncomfortable and a pain int he ass, but my understanding is covid is a lot more uncomfortable and more of a pain in the ass. Wash your damned hands and wear a mask.
  20. Maybe they should just sell some fake shares if they're that desperate for money.
  21. Yeah but if the protesters hadn't been there then the cops wouldn't have had to do that. It's 50/50 for blame really.

See when she says future, she means her future. If her husband loses he opens himself up to a lot of prosecutions and possibly even the government seizing his ill gotten money. For a gold digger like her that's the worst possible future!

See if you don't test then you don't get any cases! Problem solved! Trump really is the child who thinks cleaning his room is just stuffing all his mess under the bed.
  24. It's been talked about by some for a long time, but call me skeptical it will ever happen. I don't forsee it being used enough. The drive isn't so long and once you get to either city you kinda want to have a car to get anywhere.
  25. It just astounds me how OK some people are with authoritarianism.
