It's not a bit of both, collaros is told to read the field and throw the ball to the open guy... he correctly saw Wilson was open deep the throw just ******* sucked. So with a glove on he should have forced a short throw just because? He tried a short throw and got picked on that too.

And yet Wilson threw a pass that wheatfall should have caught for a touchdown.

did he call it or did Collaros see the play as available and threw it? Cause the play was there if the ball is thrown accurately.

let's give some props to Pokey Wilson too. in a situation where he's #3 or 4 that's a dangerous weapon to have to deal with. Everyone is down after last night, understandable but there's a lot to like going forward and now it's up to Walters to make some smart moves in the offseason and this team can continue to roll.

Some of you don't look at TOP when assessing the defence. They gave that team every chance in the world to win last night, but you do need the offence to hold onto the ball too and score some points. i think he got jobbed on that too, however if Lawler puts in some effort it's not even a question. and was it the difference? no not in the big picture but it would have been an early first down and some good plays in a game where they struggled to get going offensively. It was a symptom of the entire offense. Players not being mentall sharp. For a guy like Lawler who as you say is one of the best in the league, and paid like it to boot he has to be better. When you're at that level you don't get to make excuses. Milt went out in grey cups and made catches with guys draped all over him all the time. The argos receivers went out and made plays in traffic. Too many excuses for guys who don't need them. what do you do when Brady gets 5 yards on first down and the reciever drops the pass that would have been a first and you're off the field? that's not a play call problem.

Or the Als of the 2000s. Can't all be Toronto who wins every grey cup game they play in.

You really do make a ton of excuses for guys you like... wasn't a poor throw or triple coverage when Lawler stepped out of bounds early on... now credit to him he was wide open in the endzone when Wilson under threw the ball but still. Lawler wasn't good enough and it's ok to say that. We can say he sucked while still believing he's a very good player. Too much drama here. Offense sucked last night. Didn't make the plays they had opportunities to make. It happens. Make appropriate changes in the offseason and carry on.

No coach is going to sit Zach in that situation... but it needed to be done regardless. Would Wilson manage the game and win? I don't know... but there was no doubt when I saw collaros pulling on that glove I knew the ints were coming. Why wouldn't he? He already walked away from some vets last offseason.

He was fine until a freak incident cut his hand open. Receivers let him down bigtime in this one and the he couldn't hold a ball to throw. Coaches needed to sit him at that point because he was too injured to play. Well good thing we have a gm who can take some decisions out of osheas hands.

They still won the west and made a 5th straight Grey cup... they still had a top defense throughout the year and even in this game... it's not as dire as all that, some tweaks needed. Move on from some older bodies and bring in some good replacements and you're still a contender.

And where's adams now? No we lost some key guys to injury and wheatfall hasn't been able to adjust to being a pro. Clutch guys like wolitarsky and Schoen would be difference makers and 100% if the choice is between Lawler and Schoen I'm sticking with Schoen and I'd have said the same thing after the west final. People are going to great lengths to find reasons for this loss... it's pretty simple though. Execution was awful on the bombers part offensively, particularly the receivers.

Lawler has gone mia a bunch this season and schoens thing is crisp routes and great hands. Would have 100% made a difference and so would wolitarsky. Dude makes clutch catches. That's hat we needed and we didn't get. Instead we got lackadaisical Lawler, soft demski and might as well have not even been their wheatfall.

Have no patience for receivers who don't do their #1 job which is catching the ball. Argos receivers got popped too, they hung on and got first downs.

We spent a **** ton of money on offense and they were wildly inconsistent all season long. Defense was fine, there's some tweaks to see on STs but it's the offense that needs to be better for what they earning.

Go nuts. At his price tag Demski is at the point of diminishing returns. Wolitarksy wouldn't have gassed multiple first down catches like that.

If the receivers make the catches that are there to be made are we complaining that loudly about the game plan? Ol held up well enough, before he sliced his finger open collaros was giving guys the opportunity to make plays...

I know you love Lawler because he can do what he did in the west final... but he was invisible today. That outcome bounds early was laziness on his part and the he disappeared until Wilson under threw him in the endzone.

He had a bum ankle not busted hands. You're gonna get hit, hang onto the ball at the first down marker when it's 2nd down.

Collaros never should have gone back in when he couldn't throw without a glove. It changes how the ball comes out and it's not like they were lighting it up prior. Honestly this one is all receivers to me. Lawler mia. Lazy on the pass he stepped out on. Easily could have kept in bounds with some effort. Demski couldn't catch a cold until garbage time... wheatfall was worse than usless and I believe with some effort he could have prevented the first int except he was just waiting for the ball. I guess I can't complain about Wilson but geeze... that's it. And some people think we can move on from Schoen. Get outta here with that. I don't blame the game plan, I don't blame Zach, he got 0 help from his receivers.

Walters kinda dbs like nothing.... I wouldn't be paying dbs big money. There's quite a bit of fat to trim from this team to be honest.

So here's why Ford is unlikely... if the Bombers win odds are it's because the offense has a good night, and if the offense has a good night at least one of Oliveira or demski probably has a good night and gets the award. Ford would need at least a pick 6.... but teams won't throw on him like that. They'll do what the riders did and throw on Holm.
