  1. it's still 2002 right?
  2. yeah well you said it wrong and besmirched a fine city.
  3. Not to mention that Peterman is more likely to put his shoulder down and go forward than try and dance around everyone possibly losing yards.
  4. None of them are offering anything to fix that problem. This is the sorry sack of **** election I have ever seen and the voter turnout is going to be an ugly ugly number mark my words because none of these clownshoes is going to inspire anyone to cast their vote for them.
  5. Evidence based policy platforms as opposed to Ideology trumping everything else. I could maybe stomach voting for the Liberal platform, but that party has shown too often that they like to piss on the west and Trudeau quite frankly is a dope that I don't want to vote for. I normally just vote Conservative but Scheer offers absolutely nothing and is too similar looking to assholes like Ford and Kenney who are hell bent on tearing everything down in the name of tax cuts. So basically I am missing something that appeals to me as a normal middle class white guy in western Canada.
  6. Well my only goal is to show up and vote and not endorse anyone. How they count it our not doesn't make much difference it's the principle of the thing. I take voting seriously so not showing up isn't an option and this remains one of the only ways to have my say.
  7. lucky you getting people actually having to campaign. The Conservatives can run any loser in my riding and win and everyone knows it. I had hopes for the guy last election but turns out he's just another little social conservative do nothing weenie. Won't give him my vote even though it doesn't matter. Probably going to have to end up spoiling my ballot.
  8. Well it's not disguising, it's an actual designation American beef can get... just that the industry down there isn't as regulated so you need to have the thing as opposed to up here where it's all hormone free anyway.
  9. I don't think I'd trade our kicking game for any teams. Medlock just does too many things too well.
  10. This is the most uninspiring and uninteresting election I think I have ever seen. No one seems to be offering anything of substance, just a bunch of self serving empty suits.
  11. See nothing Fajardo does is impressive to me. Even a couple of those deep shots he completed against the Als, with better awareness from the db they could easily have been picked. Guy relies on quick hitters and escaping the pocket. His arm isn't good enough for me to really worry about that guy as a passer. Figure he's a one hit wonder for this season and nothing more.
  12. oh yeah end of the season gonna be a doozy. Was looking at the schedule a bit and while the Esks appear behind the 8-ball right now they have a chance coming up to make up ground. Bombers gotta take care of their own business and put the Riders and Stamps in there place. Do that I don't think we gotta worry too much about anyone.
  13. Next month will be very I interesting for quite a few teams.
  14. And I've yet to see him drywall anything.
  15. Hey if the Riders can get all kinds of love for beating shitty teams why not BC too? The biggest question is how I gods name did Ottawa ever beat Calgary?
  16. Bottom line, to hell with anyone who isn't us.
  17. He couldn't go back if he wanted ! Have you looked at the rig counts lately?
  18. Really the problem isn't the price of oil, you can make money on the current price of oil even with the discount we sell at, the problem is that no one is interested in investing money in Canada because you never know if the government is going to sit by and let your projects die in court. That's the only reason the Liberals bought the damned TransMountain pipeline, because if they didn't there would have been even less of a climate to entice people to invest in our country. It's not just an Alberta thing either, the only people who want to invest in Canada right now are money laundering Chinese buying up real estate.
  19. I would suggest you don't know enough about the oil sands to be honest. Projects have long lead up times, they were already invested in, we could be selling what is produced. In addition to that a lot of stuff there now isn't even mined, there is lots of SAGD which is much cheaper. Bottom line they can still make money with low prices, but there needs to be market access. In addition, there is more to Alberta than JUST oil sands. I have never worked in the oil sands for example. There's lots of oil and gas to be done here otherwise that no one is investing in. So like I said, pipelines are about selling our product to markets that would buy it if they had access to it. As it stands now our only market access is to the US who are hell bent on sucking every drop of their own oil out of the ground.
  20. because we're not *******.
  21. You can invest in renewables AND make some money off of our fossil fuel resources at the same time. The world isn't using any less oil and it won't in the foreseeable future, all we are doing it letting other countries profit from it rather than profiting ourselves. IN addition to that oil and gas companies, aka ENERGY companies are fleeing this country so their investment in renewables is leaving the country yet again leaving us in the dust. An economy still needs primary industries, if not oil and gas and energy then what pray tell shall we make money off of?
  22. I don't believe that to be the case at all. Mike O'Shea every time he talks about Streveler brings up his leadership and how much he believe that the guy has "it". If he has the team rolling when Nichols is healthy I am not convinced that the change is made. Why take that risk when winning is the most important thing?
  23. Tell the rest of the world that. All we are doing in that scenario is harming ourselves out of stubborn pride. The world isn't getting off oil, all that happens when we don't produce is other countries make that money instead. Now speaking as someone who worked in oil and gas I can tell you it's not the big oil companies that are having problems, they're still making gobs of money, but people like me haven't had a well to work on in a year now, my boss who employed at the peak had 20-25 people working consistently now even questions why he bothers going downtown anymore. And that's just one geological consulting company. The story is the same for everyone right now. There are lots of jobs out there, but they're all minimum wage jobs and if you do see something decent posted you get 600+ applications. Even trying to pivot into a somewhat related area you can't get any traction for a lot of reasons. Too many highly skilled and qualified people looking for work and hiring managers think because of that they can get the perfect candidate who is willing to work for poor wages. All because the governments in this country both federally and provincial and from all different parties can't get their **** together and build any projects in the best interests of the country. Honestly I don't want to vote for anyone in this coming federal election because no one is offering any solutions to the problems we are facing as a country.
  24. I was mostly just thinking 2 games left to come against the Stamps which is always a tough matchup and also very key to post season success for this team, nothing more. Sask isn't even a consideration as a threat.
