  1. What's sadder? The fact that we are starting 11 Canadians or that demski wolitarsky a d clercius are no brainer choices since they're better than the Americans behind them...
  2. Experimenting with boutique players just to give them a chance... now is not the time. Dl depth has been an issue for multiple years now. They should have guys on thenroster already that we know can play. I don't care where they come from but they shouldn't be dicking around seeing what they can do at this point.
  3. oh for **** sakes really? So he's a linebacker... can't have DL depth but can have a million linebackers who don't play
  4. Hey pot... this is kettle...
  5. Dragging this alllllllllll the way back after that unfortunate detour... The thing about Demski is that his value is in a jack of all trades master of none kind of way. Super versatile and can be a weapon in a lot of different ways but he's not the guy you build everything around. He's a complimentary piece. Will you find another guy like Demski? Not likely but you can find comparable producers pretty readily. Oliveira I think is a very complete back... only thing really missing is the home run ability but he does everything else so well. Could you find an American to do the job? Yeah I'd bloody well hope so but as a Canadian and local product I don't feel his salary handicaps the team. The biggest salary handicaps are the not good enough backups earning big money for years of service or the old washed up starters.
  6. This is a smoking hot wrong take... we start so many Canadians because they build the roster poorly and the PR even worse full stop.
  7. Honestly I think that BC game last year broke him. He went from living life pretty cleanly in the pocket in winnipeg and suddenly he has a game where he got his ass kicked.... and I think now he's worried about the hits coming.
  8. How many can we win with collaros getting smoked in the pocket?
  9. Like seriously I watched the calgary game again... Johnson ****** him over 3 separate times on passes. 2 he over ran the zone, if he had say down easy completions and another the ball hit him in the face. But shitty passing and reading a D right? Our rookie receivers are not getting the job done.
  10. What is he missing? We've seen him pass in all sorts of situations, We've seen him make reads... yeah he hasn't had much time but seriously we're trashing him for his passing stats last week? You seen the way the OL and receivers are playing right now? Collaros looks much worse in the same situation, or can collaros not pass either?
  11. I mean does he need to progress and grow? Sure, but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of it. People are massively selling his ability as a passer short. He can make all the throws.
  12. He has been **** at short passing forever. Even when he does throw them they're not effective. It's just that when he first got here it was a breath of fresh air after the lapo special where it's all check downs or deep shots. Collaros worked the intermediate game effectively. Now teams know what he is all about and are taking it away and collaros can't adapt because his other big weapon was his escapability (think that td to adams against calgary in 2019) and right now he just doesn't have that ability to get away anymorem
  13. Sweeten the pot by adding Thomas.
  14. And that = never develop? You realize how stupid that statement is right? It's not like streveler has shown to be poor at passing this season... considering the OL problems a d receiver problems he has done about as well as you can expect passing the ball... and yes I would say better than collaros.
  15. I don't care if you're right, thou shalt not besmirch Khari Jones.
  16. People have been telling me that Cody Fajardo is playing like one of the best qbs in the league.... well Chris Streveler had many times the passing pedigree and talent that fajardo does and you're saying he can't develop into one of the better qbs? **** off with that noise. Sure he's not going to be a calvillo or Ray who controls the game from the pocket but that doesn't mean he's some shitty qb.
  17. Yeah collaros doesn't have the escapability to deal with the crappy OL play. With Streveler being a threat to take off and run and actually get away it makes life easy on the rest of the offense.
  18. I remember Hubert in one of the preseason games standing out for making some good plays and then he seems to make some good plays in regular season... so my question is, how did he wind up being a late round pick? Cause there's gonna be a list as long as my arm of guys drafted before him who don't accomplish nearly as much as he has already shown...
  19. Yeah Miller is good, only problem he has is he is too chatty as the pbp guy but he can call a good game.
  20. We have running backs who can play that position better than a quarterback and we have receivers who can play that better than quarterbacks can. 2 qbs on the field is a gimmick play you run once or twice to try and catch a team napping. It's not a regular thing.
  21. Id like to see a scheme also when we have Zach back where essentially there's a 3 back set. Streveler, BO, and Zach. Right there...
