well it did take Jefferson a few games to really get going, remember we all left the first couple weeks thinking yeah he was OK, but we should get more, well now safe to say he's got it down and is flat out dominating.
-
older star runningback taken a lot of work load the last few years gets an extended midseason break... yeah that's gonna be nothing but good going into the stretch run with some games against good teams on the schedule.

The problem in this country with regards to oil isn't the money from foreign groups trying to stop pipelines, the problem is that there isn't a single big picture thinking political party in our country right now. They're all focused on the small petty crap and no one has a vision or plan to take the country forward. Too risky and too long term so no one worries about long term good of the country, they just focus on what ever little boutique tax cut or program they can give to get themselves more votes in the next election.

It's Kyle Walters, he taking a lineman of some type with his first pick guaranteed.
-
Teams are quick to give up the run against the Bombers too so more reasons why the linebackers don't have big tackle numbers. Easier to complete a short pass against this team.
-
Yeah that falls on pretty deaf ears cause we got some guys who have been here long term and want to stay here long term... Maybe Hervey shouldn't contribute to the problem and build a team the way Kyle Walters did... drafting drafting drafting and more drafting.

Why don't we just return a couple kicks for touchdowns each time? seems like a solid game plan.
-
and when he flubs one like he did on saturday all his coverage guys are caught out of position letting Grant run basically untouched into the endzone. They gotta haul ass so fast to try and get downfield to cover if it's ever short they are in trouble.

Depending on if Harris is out or not I actually think the Esks are a far better team than the Riders are. It is a great shame that they don't play until the end of the year.
-
why are we pretending that the guy who has won a **** ton of games for this team over the last few years and this year as well wouldn't have been able to beat the Riders? Just because Streveler ran a bunch doesn't mean that it was the only option available and that Nichols would have been in those exact same situations. Both of our QBs have shown themselves capable of winning games. It's a good thing here folks and you don't have to choose just one, you can support both players.
-
100% I do. Saskatchewan are pretenders, either of our qbs could have dispatched them, it just would have looked different.
-
The Riders OL was absolute crap both games against us, it is surprising that fajardo didn't leave in a body bag the amount of hits he took cause no one could block for him.
-
They really don't like reality, much prefer their make believe world where the Riders are always the best at everything.
-
Canadian elections these days, it's a choice between a giant ****** or a turd sandwich. That's why voter turn out is so low. Can't imagine how few people will vote federally either given the horrendous choices of leaders we got there.
-
it's an old timey saying.
-
we can all aspire to be as objective and credible as Rod Pedersen.
-
well that settles it, first place is a must and a guaranteed Grey Cup berth.
-
I just find it interesting that both INTs on Labour Day were passes thrown to Demski. I got nothing against the kid, but I just think we rely too much on him when he'd be better suited to a more complimentary role.
-
Well the guy has been playing silly buggers with Iran since day 1 so I am not sure how you can deflect it from him... His finger prints are all over that whole situation.
-
That one in particular I am putting on the coaches though. It was clearly a called throw to get the ball out quickly without really looking, Sask D was just waiting for it.
-
That is pretty precisely the reason for that stat. Jumping between divisions as much as the Bombers have done makes first in the west a pretty meaningless stat all things told.
-
Can't win the Grey Cup without making the playoffs so step 1 of the journey is just get into the playoffs however you can. I don't expect it'd take anything crazy to get a home playoff game anyway. Beat the gappers again at least and you probably get at least the semifinal in Winnipeg. Beat Calgary again as well and you are probably pretty locked in for first... unless of course they completely crap their pants. I would worry about having 2 bye weeks finishing first, but if that's the "problem" then so be it.
-
everyone focused on the last drive to lose the game on Labour Day, but there was that bad INT in what was I believe field goal range in the 2nd half as well that could have been the difference too.
-
and downright terrifying for the implications to the rest of the world.... Good bye western supremacy? Praise be to the eastern overlords of the world?
-
Pretty sure last year was the first time a 9 win team ever missed the playoffs so I would suggest that given how utterly trash BC and the east is this season 9 wins should pretty much have our playoff spot wrapped up.
