So he right they didn't flag everything and maybe they should... but he still wouldn't come out with even penalties or even close in penalties because that Edmonton team was taking dirty cheap shots all game and they have no discipline. Such a contrast from Winnipeg that plays a tough physical game without being undisciplined. Even the big scrum that cost Edmonton, yeah gray could got a flag but he pushed a guy and walked away, it was Edmonton whining about it that ultimately drew them the flag.

I'd say avoid turnover and grind the ball they can beat this Saskatchewan team. Their offense doesn't scare me and their defence can be had too.

Its Time To Hand The Ball To Willie Jefferson

I had always thought that if he got a chance and established himself that the bombers might do just that... but who knows. -
Bc Lions: hold my beer.

Nichols shredded the Ottawa defense though, like over 80% completions both games, more yards than fajardo had too. Beating shitty teams doesn't prove a god damned thing. Let's see how Fajardo looks against better defenses. I suspect it's not going to be nearly as good.

Did they ever say what happened to Brandon Alexander? Getting that guy back would be enormous. -
Well to be fair, Moncrief is a good player, but not best defensive player in the league good no. Are they still pretending that Micah Johnson is worth his big fat salary even though he's not putting up any stats?
-
Can't wait until the riders play ths good western teams. Time to end their smoke and mirrors bullshit.
-
The hilarious part was the esks strutting around pretending to be big tough badasses and the bombers ers just not even caring. Love the attitude this Winnipeg team has. Tough without having to pretend to be tough. Just go out and hit the other team in the mouth and no show beating about it.

I actually think he was probably more winded than fuzzy headed.

Jason maas is a professional victim. Always some unfair thing happening to him.

Edmonton tried to contain streveler and Harris had huge holes to run through as a result.
-
honestly, is there a global player contributed more than Hansen this year? Sounds like an athlete who never had any proper coaching and now that he's getting that coaching he is thriving.
-
I have long believed that mentally Harris is weak. Lots of seasons he has a great summer but completely awful fall. Good at throwing short passes but when teams tighten up in scoring range he struggles.
-
And if it's Nichols if read 1 isn't there it's dump down to Harris. Time to ask what the hell Lapo is doing that qbs get 1 read and then it's bail out.
-
Gray is gonna be a real good one. He's one of those guys who knows how to walk the line without going over it.
-
100% this. Especially considering how deep we are in the depth at end, but our defensive line are beasts. They may not get as many sexy stats, but Stove and Nevis in the middle are complete road blocks and even the random German we brought in is collapsing the pocket. Just a bunch of guys who play hard honest football and make the opponent earn every inch they get.
-
but the pocket was not there for a lot of the night. Edmonton gets pressure, it's their thing on defense. I won't argue that he was great passing, but between the drops and the run heavy (including called qb runs) game plan he also didn't have a lot of opportunity to be much of a passer. I think Streveler like most young qbs needs the game to slow down for him, but I don't really worry if he has to pass. He can hit guys, he's shown that. Just give him some help like all qbs need.

Man after a ho-hum start he's really taken it upon himself to wreck **** for opposing offenses. -
I think that's unfair. He hit Matthews and Matthews let the db interupt the pass, he hit Demski in traffic and Demski put it on the ground, he hit wolitarsky and again it hit the ground. I think his passing numbers look worse than they should to be honest. There was even the swing pass to Harris on 2nd and 20 that I put the blame on Harris. He had to get that ball out quick and Harris wasn't ready for it. Streveler is not a bad passer, our team just has a bad passing game plan a lot of nights. He also had to deal with pressure a lot of the night. Yes the numbers look ugly, but I don't think he was really reckless with the ball. Sure there were a couple ugly throws, but there was more good than bad, he just didn't get a lot of help in the passing game.
-
D was really good, the DL was giving Harris fits all night. They gave up some big plays but otherwise solid solid game. As for Streveler, I don't think it's an indictment of him. Edmonton has a good D and he dealt with a lot of drops and a horrible 2nd half game plan (as per usual with lapo) Guy brings the threat with his legs that makes Harris better so it's really a big part of his game that the run game was as effective as it was.
-
Edmonton was so afraid of Streveler running it gave more room to Harris. Really puts a D in a pick your poison position. Now get the passing game figured out and we got something special here.
-
so can we all agree that the biggest problems with the offense are Lapolice now?
