  1. Except the Leduc stuff happened like really late 40s and 50s which kick started the oil and gas in Alberta... I R confused.
  2. we also started discussing the creationist museum in central Alberta and how I really would like to visit it some day.
  3. now as in the post retirement sense.
  4. but you can deal with that without simply going on the fire everyone spree, especially as the head coach. I mean cripes O'Shea isn't the first and certainly won't be the last coach to be cagey with his public responses to things like that. I do recall one of the mic'ed up games we clearly heard him giving it to one of the coordinators about what they were doing not being good (think it was Lapo) so I don't think that behind closed doors it's all sunshine and roses. O'Shea has patience though, he gives people chances to make it right, something a lot of people here don't subscribe to. Now personally I'm sick of our offensive and defensive coordinators, but I was never on board with hiring them in the first place because I didn't like their philosophies to start with. O'Shea though clearly doesn't mind that safe approach, which I can appreciate, I think the real problem is how unable Lapo is to adjust in game and how slow Hall is to adjust, but he does adjust, just sometimes takes too long.
  5. The real problem is that all the cuts and spending are targeted boutique things that are just trying to blatantly buy votes. No real long term plans by anyone just trying to grab enough votes to hold power. This is why people don't want to vote.
  6. on the way back from Edmonton just yesterday the wife and I snickered at that billboard
  7. The problem here, is that angry irrational people don't like measured even keeled responses from coaches. They want the same fly off the handle rage they feel.
  8. Hardly, I just calls it as I sees it. You turn on people at the drop of a hat, that makes you a bandwagon jumper. Not sure why it offends you so much.
  9. Or I could keep hitting that nerve.
  10. Stegall is an attention ***** now, he panders to those idiots so hard cause they clap like trained seals if he says nice things about them and their team.
  11. Well last game Whitehead certainly didn't. He dropped at least 3 he could caught.
  12. The usual suspects are off the bandwagon at the first sign of adversity, as per usual. The only problem with this team is the coordinators. If they don't do something about that in the offseason we can talk, but until then I trust Miller Walters and O'Shea.
  13. I expect our DL to dominate Sask again, that makes all the difference to this team. Don't let them get pressure the D shows it's weaknesses, but Sask wasn't anywhere close to slowing down the Bombers pass rush in either game.
  14. complete with a spot in the eastern conference?
  15. Ok but the bombers routinely take less penalties. That's pretty much one of the most important things for oshea. A "clean" game with few penalties.
  16. Hall was on the sidelines? Thought he was up in the booth all the time
  17. I disagree very much with this entire assessment. Saskatchewan is not better on both sides of the ball. Our lines are far superior to theirs and that was evident in both games against them. That's where Hamilton and Calgary I don't argue. They can match the Bombers in the trenches and it allowed Hamilton to win, but Sask? Not a ******* chance. We are a superior team to them no question about it.
  18. He forced a fumble on it too but it went straight out of bounds so no chance to recover, but yeah hell of an effort.
  19. The hell has Saskatchewan done to earn that? Barely squeaked past us on labour day and got the ever loving **** kicked out of them the banjo bowl?
  20. No it indicates he played a good game and the bombers played into the Hamilton Ds game plan. They contained the outside pretty well, forced everything into the middle.
  21. Yeah I don't assign the blame to streveler. Neither int was a real horrendous decision, they needed points and on the first one it was to avoid a big sack, the second was again trying to score when it was getting desperate. Hamilton D schooled Lapo and their front 7 schooled our OL. That is how you lose games no matter what a qb does. Doesn't help either when receivers put the ball on the ground either.
  22. As bad as the bombers were suitor was worse.
  23. yeah but how many games would Matty win when the D rolls over and dies? I say again, Streveler was good, but the rest of the team was garbage. Did we have one return without a penalty? The D gave up like 300 yards before halftime. Puts the O behind the 8ball.
  24. beer... but **** the haters, Streveler was good, rest of the bunch not as much.
  25. Streveler looked like a legit passer, but he got no help. Lot of drops of good throws, the INTs were desperate attempts when things broke down. The OL got abused a bit tonight and as I mentioned before, 2nd and long Lapo turtles and calls draw after draw which played right into the Hamilton game plan. I leave to night so much more confident in Streveler as the guy.
