  1. No one has ever said oshea can't coach. Only complaints have been about subpar roster management and if you think there's no validity to that you have had your head in the sand the whole time. Overall dude is still a great coach, but he could be even better if he didn't have a penchant for wasting roster spots.
  2. Yeah lapo in year 2 made him a gimmick and then Pierce had his head up his ass last year and didn't let streveler throw for some stupid reason. Last night is basically the qb he was in year one.
  3. who had a bad game on O? I saw Kolankowski whiff a couple times and lead to streveler taking a big pop at least once but otherwise it looked solid top to bottom. Think all the receivers had some catches, nobody RB looked solid, Streveler looked good... the play calling seemed real solid.
  4. Bottom line is there were a hell of a lot of guys with standout games tonight and that is an amazing things IMO. What a statement to open the season.
  5. Give some love to wheatfall too who looked like a legit threat out there.
  6. That was good, but I give this to Ayers on special teams earlier.
  7. Streveler can't play qb!!!
  8. What are you doing with MY depth chart at your house?
  9. Sad thing is 6 bucks a beer is pretty solid these days.
  10. I think the biggest playoff problem at qb has simply been Zach has by and large sucked in the big games.
  11. Dude made plays when given the chance, what more can you expect? More than a lotnof receivers did this camp so yeah, he earned his starting spot. Keeping it is now up to him in the regular season.
  12. I'm willing to be surprised by Kornelson for sure. Also i have a hard time with Ayers as the DE depth.... guy is listed at 227 lbs. I just think that ALL THE LINEBACKERS!!!11! Isn't optimal roster usage. I'd have used a DE as the last DL spot rather than another DT.
  13. Wheatfall absolutely won a spot in the starting lineup in preseason. If he can take a step that's huge for the offense.
  14. Well for me the issues is that Kornelson is your depth... now maybe the guy is some hidden gem, but I doubt it, and I doubt he was the absolute beat option for that spot. An injury happens and he is it for depth on the DL and that's a concern.
  15. Personally I'd have gone white as the vet receiver, but that is minor IMO. The big issue, as it was last year is decisions in the front 7 on D, defensive line in particular. Basically they are saying "we are OK with Thomas playing the whole game if we need and we don't need depth there". Which is ludicrous when you look at the ages of the starters....
  16. Players play better we win... maybe better roster usage nets those few plays needed...
  17. Because the DL depth sucks on the depth chart... they've got a linebacker listed as the only backup DE... they've got 3 Canadian DTs for some reason instead of proper DE depth. We can quibble about whether they made the right choices in terms of players at db or lb but what they did with the DL is a god damned disgrace from a positional perspective.
  18. Thomas is more like the old dude who's been there forever who is just running down the clock until retirement. The younger more productive people roll their eyes at how useless they are.
  19. Well pick the correct Jones at least... Osh gotta get over this incumbent bias.
  20. Stats without context don't mean a hell of a lot... What were the situations in which those stats were accumulated? The bulk of strevelers starts came in his first year as a complete raw rookie early in the year or in year 2 when the team was in the midst of battling for playoff positions... and last year he played more fullback that qb for whatever reason.. When did Ford play? Was it when the elks were already out of contention?
  21. Yeah i dunno what happened but it really seemed like buck got dumb last year.
  22. You know which qbs throw ints? All of them
  23. Wilson is a good player, just always injured. It's not that he is starting so much as it's using a roster spot on a guy you’re unlikely to be able to rely on all season at the expense of someone you might be able to.
