  1. People get so desperate to try and analyze stats but forget that some stats don't mean whole hell of a lot in isolation. Analytics work incredibly well in baseball because it's a series of one on one battles, football though requires everyone working as a unit.
  2. How can you run the ball when then offense can't stay on the field?
  3. You don't want to take away bombs either, in fact that was a missing element from Saturday almost entirely. What you want is a nice balanced offense that forces a team to defend every part of the field. We used to have that, don't really anymore
  4. He was... but Oliveira passed him and if Oliveira wasn't going the offense was ****. Collaros had these same issues last year. He didn't get worse over the offseason, the team around him did which is why the perception is he suddenly is washed up. Hence my statement, Brady Oliveira prevented people from seeing these problems with collaros last year. If he had value in the offseason he still has value now to other teams.
  5. Rourke is not coming back to the CFL until he has exhausted every single possibility of any sort of NFL shot. You don't refer to the cfl as an unexpected detour and then come back after just a couple years.
  6. No he's just not really able to carry the offense this year so collaros has to do it. It prevented people from seeing how far collaros had fallen last season. Or you still going to pretend you don't understand?
  7. Oh I see it, but I saw it last year... Oliveira saved his ass last season.
  8. What are you smoking? The issue he shows this year are the same he showed last year... but last year he had schoen and Lawler and a better OL and Brady Oliveira playing at an MOP level.
  9. Collaros is no different now than he was last season. If we thought someone would take him in the offseason then someone would take him now.
  10. Saskatchewan. #1 they have an even older qb and #2 their insane bomber envy would be a natural fit to try and be winnipeg.
  11. It's just a heavy bias dressed up as impartiality
  12. Again though... BLM and Trevor Harris are still seen as viable starters... cfl qbing is the drizzling shits right now.
  13. Yet no mention that the stamps needed an injury to the Bombers starting qb to get to OT? Your Schick is as old and tires as some of the Bombers starters. Million excuses for the other team no consideration given the other way.
  14. Oh please, a 14-4 record should be good enough for first in the west
  15. If the Bombers were trading collaros multiple teams would be interested. I mean God Trevor Harris is still seen by one team as a viable starter, and busted shoulder BLM.
  16. Old as **** too! Old people get brittle. It's science
  17. No one could have predicted this!
  18. I don't buy that it is a Canadian issue. This is a personality thing. Cause Damien Jackson had nothing to do with Canada and neither does sheahan.
  19. Man Hubert for a really late pick looks like a solid young piece.
  20. I disagree with that, he played well enough just quit the game early.
  21. Kramdi is alright, the key though when using guys like that as a starter is to gain a benefit elsewhere on your roster... like say shoring up an obviously subpar OL... or going all import on your DL... starting those guys just because and then starting 2 or 3 more like that is just a waste.
  22. So they clearly came out hoping to run the ball given the injuries at receiver... well calgary coaches are many things but they're not stupid and knew that and managed to shut it down well enough. Then you get into the problems with execution the Bombers showed. Streveler missed some throws (plays 1 quarter at the very beginning of preseason and then never throws the ball again until game 4)... some receivers over ran their spots in zone and you wind up with an incomplete pass, few passes (and the int in OT) were rushed to avoid pressure and didn't work. Felt like once they got desperate and stopped messing around the offense had some success in the 4th but christ the stupid penalties to play it on hard mode... They need to do something about the OL cause short yardage is too much of a struggle. Receiver injuries killed them but actually saw some good things for a change from some of the rooks (some bad too but progress I guess).
  23. MOP isn't won in the first 3 weeks of a season... and considering the usual contenders who are either not playing or having a piss poor start to the year that's really no different than Faj crowing about being the west selection for the MOP award several years ago. Guy sucks, always has always will. That his team around him is playing well don't change anything.
