  1. I really want to see that kid do well. He made plays when he got a chance, which is more than can be said for some of the American receivers we've lined up recently.
  2. No no no, you see the senate works for the rich donors. Silly poster thinking the United States government gave 2 shits about the people.
  3. Well history suggests that they are different... I mean just one example off the top of my head: Al Franken is no longer a senator after his scandal.
  4. And something else to consider, was Barr not the attorney general who kept the republicans all safe from any fall out from Iran-Contra? Seems to me that you can't take anything done by Republicans seriously. They've been rotten to the core for quite a while and will protect their own no matter what.
  5. Hey we can easily throw a government out on their asses up here come election. It's a hell of a lot harder for Americans since there's only 2 choices and the government doesn't totally change each time there's an election. People get pissed at Trudeau he will join a long and illustrious line of Prime Ministers who pissed off the electorate and lost their jobs. We in Canada don't vote for people generally, we vote to throw the bums out.
  6. The bits of things I've read basically are saying that Barr's assumption is because there's no direct link between Trump and the Russian government (key phrase that one) he can't possibly have been obstructing justice because there was nothing to obstruct. It's pretty clear there was collusion with Russians, just not the government. Which is stupid since everyone knows that it's the Russian Oligarchs that are basically the government anyway. Putin is smart enough to not make it official but come on, people need to stop and think for a bit rather than playing for team left or team right.
  7. Pretty sweet set up when you can appoint the guy who gets to determine whether you did anything wrong eh? Anyone surprised that a guy Trump picked for a position based solely on his public outcry against the whole investigation summed it up in the best way possible for the president? Now obviously I haven't read the report, nor am I likely to ever since you know, not a lawyer and I am assuming there's lots of techinical stuff in there, but I suspect the evidence is far worse for Trump than this. How not when so many of his senior people are already in hot water and there were so many indictments already? I suspect it was the office saving Trump more than anything else.
  8. Yeah but fans collectively lose their **** even with reviews anyway. That's just what fans do.
  9. interesting that you call me a communist... Did you know that I've voted for a conservative party every election of my life so far? But I am not beholden to an ideology. If something is a problem I can see it. Things are not better for people now than they were in the 70s... maybe people of your generation, but not the following generations. I honestly feel like my generation is the last one that's been able to make something decent happen, but even then it's not as easy it was for my parents generation. The growth that previous generations experience isn't going to happen going forward. The truth is the boomer generation are greedy fucks. They were born into everything and have played the system for so long to ensure that they're going to keep it all. Once they're gone you will see a big change in how the world operates.
  10. And how is trickle down economics working out? Increasing wealth gap, more consolidation of wealth in the hands of fewer and fewer people.... What they're doing now ain't working, why not try what DID in fact work in the past? You are a hardcore conservative I get that, you buy their economic principles but the truth is that those ideas only work for the wealthy no one else. The times they are a changing, the super wealthy need to start paying more or the entire thing will devolve into feudalism again. Not that they're trying to fight that, it's really their ideal. It keeps up there's going to be a repeat of the events of the french revolution.
  11. Well I trust them for the most part, the problem I have is that because it exists the refs stop trusting themselves and use the eye in the sky as a crutch. Would rather do away with all the reviews and just let human error be what it will be.
  12. She already told everyone, taxing the super wealthy. They can afford it and still be stupidly rich. In fact that's how it was in America when it was as great as people want to make it again.
  13. if that's the road they're going down then time to do away with onfield refs and let the big man in the clouds handle everything.
  14. it's pretty self explanatory. Most conservatives these days are regressive in their thinking trying to reclaim past glories rather than accepting what the future will bring and adapting their positions to fit into that future. but hey I was mostly just making a joke at the expense of the area I grew up in, no need to get too bogged down in the details of the phrasing.
  15. Sounds like a lot of the stuff coming out can be solved with training the refs better. Shocking I know.
  16. Hey I will have you know that Selkirk-Interlake is a very progressive and forward thinking area that is in no way shape or form filled with rednecks...... oh no wait, the opposite.
  17. They have been talking about bill and Ted 3 for a while, glad it's gonna happen
  18. I was not against any pipeline just on principle, but energy east wouldn't have helped much and northern gateway was doomed from the get go. You think transmountain has protests northern gateway made that look like a walk in the park. The bottom line is these pipelines needed built 10 or 15 years ago and neither provincial or federal conservative governments got it done. Everyone owns this.
  19. I have an idea! STOP MAKING ******* STUPID CALL!
  20. Dude I am one of those hurting oil patch workers. Geoscientists were hit harder than anyone else in Calgary, but if you think Jason Kenney is going to magically make jobs reappear you are beyond hope of being reasonable. Notley never promised a pipeline in exchange for a carbon tax, it was framed as showing good faith negotiating with Canada and it did a lot to get the general public in Canada on her side, problem was BC was never going to go for it without a massive pay out, and do you think Jason Kenney was going to give Alberta dollars to BC? I don't. I say she is pragmatic because she put a lot of those socialist ideals behind her to work towards was is best for Alberta. That's the kind of politician I want. Someone who is about the common good as opposed to their ideology. Again I don't trust the NDP party for ****, but I trust her a hell of a lot. Also, drop this alliance with Trudeau thing, that's a UCP talking point that is BS. She's been working for Albertans with whoever is willing to work with her including the federal government. Certainly a better option than launching into a red faced tirade like Kenney seems to think would be the answer. Hell was just reading about the UCP candidate in my riding and she sounds like a truly awful person. Her biggest point of emphasis was how she wanted to roll back the legislation providing more support for people in domestic violence situations. We are at a point where regressive governments are a bad idea. We need to continue to elect progressives. Haven't had a regressive government since Ralph Klein and we still need to keep going down that path. Massive oil royalties aren't coming back soon and the government needs to actually act like a government now.
  21. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER More projection from ol' Donald.
  22. No, but someone who is willing to hand wave away the **** Kenney did to win the leadership of a party that really only exists because he wanted it to exist.... This is what you want for a premier? Because of a carbon tax from the NDP? We were getting either that or a provincial sales tax last time regardless so 6 of one half a dozen of the other. Kenney gonna cut taxes on the rich and starve the beast, that sounds lovely for regular Albertans like you and I. But hey, we can just all bootstrap ourselves up right? Kenney is garbage in a human suit, I am no NDP supporter but at least Rachel Notley has been a pragmatic leader, arguably the only one of her kind in Canada right now. We need more like her, not Jason Kenneys who are more concerned with making the rich richer and making sure that gay kids know that it's not OK to be gay.
  23. you are the worst kind of Alberta voter.
  24. Sham? Jason Kenney would be right at home in the wild rose. He is the worst kind of crony capitalist plus he is a bigot on top of it. He is under criminal investigation for his leadership campaign... and you want this guy as premier? What's he going to do to help the economy? Rape the middle class to pay for his rich benefactors benefit that's what. You are entitled to vote for him if you want to, but how anyone can see the kind of person he is and willingly vote for his party I will never figure out.
  25. Hopefully that slimy ******* Kenney gets what he deserves. I don't like the NDP but I do like Rachel Notley... I was hoping the Alberta Party would give me an option but they don't seem to know their asses from a hole in the ground so who to vote for.... probably the incumbent who was one of the PCs who didn't join Kenneys band of angry right wing nutballs.
