  1. Can't win the Grey Cup without making the playoffs so step 1 of the journey is just get into the playoffs however you can. I don't expect it'd take anything crazy to get a home playoff game anyway. Beat the gappers again at least and you probably get at least the semifinal in Winnipeg. Beat Calgary again as well and you are probably pretty locked in for first... unless of course they completely crap their pants. I would worry about having 2 bye weeks finishing first, but if that's the "problem" then so be it.
  2. everyone focused on the last drive to lose the game on Labour Day, but there was that bad INT in what was I believe field goal range in the 2nd half as well that could have been the difference too.
  3. and downright terrifying for the implications to the rest of the world.... Good bye western supremacy? Praise be to the eastern overlords of the world?
  4. Pretty sure last year was the first time a 9 win team ever missed the playoffs so I would suggest that given how utterly trash BC and the east is this season 9 wins should pretty much have our playoff spot wrapped up.
  5. smoke and mirrors.
  6. Stats with no context! What a great idea! Gotta talk about the types of attempts when it comes to hands or you are just wasting time
  7. I wonder if they didn't think that there was some interference on the initial contact with the receiver, cause yeah after they disengaged Bailey just tripped.
  8. I think you may be right. there were a few of the deeper throws you could see instantly that he knew he simply missed. The guy is smart, he knows what he does well out there and what he doesn't. Got a lot of time for a physical freak who knows he has to keep improving.
  9. The biggest thing holding Fajardo back is his arm. The deep throws are floaters and it's no wonder that Rose got the pick on one of the few deep shots they took. With Fajardo you are basically forced to run a quick hitter offense, which as teams learn about your strengths and weaknesses can game plan around and I suspect you will see that happen going forward here. I sincerely doubt that Fajardo is able to toss a ball into a tight window if he has to as well. As guy like Davis at least can rifle the ball.
  10. whitehead has been good as a receiver I think, I think the problem with him is Lapo sees him as more of a gimmick than a straight up receiver. Let him have the role Dressler had last year and see what we can get out of him cause I think that would work well. He's catching the balls that he should and we know he can score from anywhere.
  11. Hansen is a nice story but let's not fool anyone, he is way below the other guys we have.
  12. The big worry is the coordinators and if they're going to pull a boner like they are known for time to time. The passivity is a problem in a lot of the losses we suffer.
  13. lucky for us we get them at home one of the games against them which could be a big one as I just expect the Bombers to roll over and die in mcmahon stadium as they are known to do.
  14. meanwhile teams like the one to the left are praying for busted down old Labatte to come back and save them.
  15. Alexander and Jeffcoat will get back on without question, Nelson I feel though has been passed
  16. Don't forget the 2 best guards in the league! Still not sure who those guys are...

  18. You know what, one of the spin moves was on Hecht, so he learned, another was on Hansen who is such a raw player. I didn't see guys like Roh or Jefferson falling for that crap. I find it absolutely hilarious that rider fans are so happy with Fajardo. That's a big time flawed qb with no arm for deep throws. Teams are gonna figure him out hard.
  19. yeah but as I tried to explain to you on the weekend, they are totally different types of runningbacks. Lafrance is much more of a receiver, as a runner Augustine is actually a lot better.
  20. I said to Noeller during the game they should just give the thing to the Bombers, the Riders had no need for it.
  21. big plays happen, but you can correct those or some such thing. Afterall, they are the most injured team ANIEC!
  22. I just think streveler is a different beast, and I thought that based solely on the very first interview I ever heard him give in training camp last season. Everything he has done in his time here leads me to believe that he has that *it* factor. He may not turn into a great, but that guy can be a successful starting quarterback I have no question about that.
  23. but seen recently on their fan site... "I believe we are still every bit as good as Winnipeg or Calgary"
  24. just as papa putin desired
  25. Until he steps behind centre he's still got to make chicken salad out of chicken **** at the qb position.
