  1. Completely disagree... he was disrupting things for faj all night.
  2. Haba was one of the real bright spots against Montreal so I don't agree with this assessment.
  3. That's a terrible comparison. Ricky Ray was a much better QB than Collaros has ever been and wasn't at the end of his career to the same extent that Collaros was. Never mind that Brown is a better young qb than Jyles ever was. be more like if BC had kept Reilly and traded whoever was their starter at the time (was it Lulay?) OL sucked, Collaros sucked, didn't even try and get the run game going, DBs forgot they can use their arms when trying to tackle, lack of DL depth cost them when Fox and Haba get hurt early. O'shea smirked while wearing shorts.
  4. did they? before we lost half our DL to injury Brown was under fire too and we hardly gave augustine the ball but when he got it he was productive. Yeah the receivers didnt shine overly much but neither did Ottawas really. Biggest thing is Ottawa for a shorter field than Winnipeg most times.
  5. by looking at some of the problems Zach started to show last year and taking a bold move.... you save a pile in salary and get younger... Collaros at best had a couple seasons left in him. Brown outplayed him last year (albeit in extremely limited time). I think it was a bold move that could have paid off because you could likely parlay Collaros in the offseason into a big return.
  6. you can tell though that Oshea feels bighill and jefferson and collaros and alexander are still the same guys they were. In my opinion they had the bodies in camp this year to make some changes and just didn't... seeing how well a guy like adams has stepped in and been arguably the teams best player through 2 games tells me they just made the wrong call on a lot of guys in preseason.
  7. They have, but cracks started to show last season big time and in this business if you're standing still you're getting worse... We're still relying on the core from 2019 and it's 5 years later.
  8. I am telling you, the offseason was prime time to sell high on Collaros and run with Brown/Streveller. Send Collaros to Ottawa for something useful and move on. Collaros made hay when he was able to play houdini in the backfield but he can't do that anymore and he struggles mightily unless you have an impenetrable OL.
  9. So here's my question... the play neufeld ran away from the guy who sacked Collaros.... looked like initially both he and kolankowski had him but then neufeld disengaged and so did Kolankowski.... so who was supposed to take him? I am inclined to believe just based on how it unfolded that neufeld wasn't wrong to go look for another block thinking the centre had the inside guy blocked.... but neufeld still had a real shitty game all on his own so maybe he was wrong.
  10. he's also a giant *****. runs hard until he sees someone coming than slows down and turtles.
  11. I know you love him, but Kongbo has made less impact as a CFL player than one of your whipping boys Kramdi. I'd take him on the roster, as a rotational piece he adds value but he's not going to fix all the problems. I'd start by apologizing to some of the DL/LBs from preseason and seeing if they'll come back and make merit based decisions on play time rather than who's been around a long time
  12. member when it was next man up and injuries weren't an excuse because we had the depth? Yeah that was great. shame we are forgoing having depth this year because the old farts need their jobs regardless.
  13. You mean 1 regular season game and 3 playoff games at least one of which streveler flat out won for the team?
  14. Maybe once when he got a real good bounce because a returner didn't catch the ball... but nope I can't think of any times he just boomed one and flipped the field.
  15. He won't grind out a game like Brady but he can pick up bigger chunks so it will just be different.
  16. Yeah that's what I was talking about when I said not getting under the ball. Just appeared to have no concept of tracking the ball in the air.
  17. Yeah fumbles can happen, the part that I found the most egregious was how often he failed to get under the ball and catch it. Letting the ball bounce all the damned time is just unacceptable.
  18. Loved the Marvin Coleman returns. Catch the ball in the air every time and go forward.
  19. Mine are just way more explosive than me. I'll get em over distance but little buggers get away before I can react. Though I did get the big 3rd down stuff the other day, kid was trying to go over top the pile from one couch to the other and I timed that **** right and got him midair before he crossed the plane.
  20. are they? cause it looks to me like the coach is putting all his chips in on his old vets that won in 2019 and 2021... where's the rebuild there? Do we really think O'Shea is going to willingly move on from these guys at this point? The problems are the same as they were last year and it's only getting worse as time marches on and these core guys get older. Yeah they won a **** load of games, but if you didn't see the cracks appearing last season and don't see the exact same mistakes being made again this season then I just don't know what to tell you. If we were doing a mini-rebuild one of the rookie american MLBs would have played while bighill was hurt, guys like thomas wouldn't be playing nearly so much, Willie Jefferson would be getting seriously limited reps... but that's not happening, the old farts are still being expected to be their younger selves.
  21. Says the guy who was totally off the deep end of negativity during the game.
  22. The old adage is that special teams are a sign of your depth... well I'd agree. Our depth has taken a massive hit the last few years for a variety of reasons and teams have been poor. Not a coincidence in my opinion.
  23. Then why have special teams sucked last year and game 1 this year?
