you could see the game changing because of the lack of offense but it was still within reach, and at that point all it takes is one play from the offense to be right back in the thick of things so yes the D did hold them in until late in the 4th quarter. The offense just never did their part.

TSN was saying before the garbage time outburst that the Bombers had 58 yards on offense in the 2nd half. That is all kinds of awful and should automatically shift a hell of a lot of focus off the defense who kept the team in as long as they could against one of the top qbs in the league.

Lapo either goes deep or throws short. Look at Calgary, they killed us with intermediate passes all game long but Lapo is either deep or short, been that way since he was here in 2002. Of course it works a hell of a lot better with Khari Jones, Milt Stegall, Arland Bruce, Charles Roberts and Mike Sellers than it does Matt Nichols, Darvin Adams, and Ryan Lankford. Harris is great and all but our receivers are weak. Adams should be the 3rd or 4th best guy on the team not the best (though I think Dressler is still the best we have, but hurt of course)

You know that if the offense had put some drives together than the yardage woulda looked a hell of a lot better for the D these last few weeks. I felt especially against Calgary they were doing OK considering they're always going to be a bend but don't break D with this coaching staff, but when your offense keeps giving the ball back eventually the yardage will add up.

Collaros ain't BLM and our D held us in until very late against the Stamps despite the offense leaving them high and dry all game long after the first handful of series. Avoid turning the ball over and they should beat Saskatchewan without much issue.

Honestly forget the 500 yards and 250 for Jorden, look at how long the D kept that game in reach despite the offense doing jack squat after the first quarter. You know what? Better the Lapo offense struggle in august than the fall. The D has improved a lot, i don't care what the numbers say, they were good enough to win on Saturday with any help from the offence. It will get figured out, every team has a poor stretch at some point, beat the riders and all is well again.

Those two comments are incompatible with each other because by making the first comment you show you are as a matter of fact interested in what those other teams do with their qbs, albeit incorrect in your assessment. People who get that big are generally the ones who are handicapped by genetics so they have to work harder than people to keep their weight down. I have a lot of sympathy for people in that situation because it can be a damned difficult cycle. They put in all the work and don't see the results they might expect and get depressed and stop putting in the effort. That's the most natural reaction in the world. There are too many people in this world who judge everyone without taking a moment to consider everything and that really annoys me.

You are the one that said no other coach had to deal with a qb playing poorly and then turn around and say you don't care about other teams qbs, don't spin too hard or you'll fly right off the face of the earth.
