People are evaluating these things with a whole heaping pile of hindsight. Wagoner and Poblah were going to come to the CFL when people thought they were Americans never mind their draft status.

With Lapo we don't ever need to worry about the team not testing the perimeters of a defense. If Edmonton wants to try just going balls out after the qb again like they were able to against BC it won't end well for them. I don't think their linebackers are good enough to handle the Lapo short passing offense.

So have we ever had a week 2 with only 3 games before? Not to mention 2 of those games were absolute laughers. Also week one had at least one game competing with the NBA finals which likely takes a bite out of viewer numbers too.

The discipline was lacking a bit in game 1, I can only assume based on his post game comments that oshea will have them back to playing a clean game this time.

Especially considering the state of the teams NIs at the time. and I don't get the angst over Waggoner either. Guy was a contributer on special teams at least and retired at a point when he might have gotten more responsibility. Some people just always have a bone to pick. It's the draft, it's hit or miss.

And I saw independent scouting reports saying poblah hands down would have been a 1st overall pick. Just because he didn't work out (as many picks don't) doesn't mean the bombers were out of line spending a first round pick. Fact isn't they didn't spend a first someone else would have.

So I seem to recall more teams than Winnipeg bidding a first for poblah.

Alls I know is I get nervous when the all comes to him in a way that doesn't happen with the other receivers. Guy has a lot of skill, but had some adventures with catching and holding onto the ball.

You can't turn people away because what if it is a more serious underlying condition? What people need to do though is not use an er for things a doctors appointment can handle.

I can see the merit in turning some emergency rooms into urgent care though. A lot of emergency visits can be handled by urgent care and perhaps it helps bolster emergency room resources at the remaining locations. I don't think there is a healthcare worker anywhere who doesn't feel stressed or overworked.

Is a lot of the anguish about healthcare the closing of emergency rooms at some hospitals and consolidating them at the bigger centers? Help me understand as someone who hasn't followed it super closely.

I would suggest rewatching the game against BC. An uncharacteristic kick return td and some iffy pass interference penalties made it seem closer than it really was.

Harris had some big moments in Ottawa too. To me he is the same guy. Montreal and BC aren't the strongest competition to start the season. Bombers handled BC easily while playing a sloppy game, Edmonton will be good but they aren't juggernauts yet.
