Help us Chris Streveler, You're our Only Hope
17to85 replied to Atomic's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
That interception was clearly a wrong route because not only was it intercepted, but it was also no where near the receiver, so either the qb totally missed the throw that badly or the receiver wasn't in the spot he was supposed to be. Considering that Streveler is starting the regular season I guess that shows that the receiver was in the wrong spot. -
The only way Trump can bring someone to their knees is with a large cash payment in a truck stop mens room. The guy is a pansy of a leader, which is why he tries to chum around with dictators, he figures if he associates with these people then he'll be seen as strong too. The reality is that he's a blubbering weak fool that no one takes seriously.

The ratio really is a simple thing but I find the problem people have understanding it comes down to how it is presented. Too many people think there is a minimum number of Canadian players that need to be on a roster and starting. That is not the case at all, the ratio is set up to limit the number of American players on a roster. Once you start to view the ratio through that lens all the rules are much simpler to understand.

Winnipeg 18-0 everyone else 0-18

I would rather listen to Black than Suitor to be completely honest.

probably the rest of training camp and first preseason game. Streveler was way better in game 1 than Ross, who was pretty terrible. But let's be honest, they talked all camp like Ross had the edge and after the 2nd game everyone around here figured they'd go to Ross as well, but they didn't probably for several reasons that we as fans can't see. I don't think there was any huge gap between them overall, they just obviously like something about Streveler better. I suspect it's the ability to run as well as the intangibles. Dressler specifically has mentioned how impressed he was by Strevelers presence in the huddle, or something like that. -
The only reason this thing with North Korea happened was because Trumpy wants to claim that he pulled off something no other president (ie. Obama) could do. Except that any president could have met with North Korea any time they wanted if they were willing to conceed everything like Trump did. Then the summit actually happens and the only thing to come from it is Trump giving concessions to North Korea. It would be laughable if I didn't already know that many people in the USA would believe the **** that Trump is going to claim about the bigly success that this summit was for him.

Well looking at how they did when Bond was hurt last season it'll be no problem. They were every bit as good.
-
TSN has decided that they need some "personalities" among players to sell the league, plus this lets them kiss the asses of Rider fans which they inexplicably seem to think they need to do. TSN has really gone downhill the last decade, just full on over hyping nonsense.

Was just going to say this, you start more Canadians than required you have room on the roster for american backups who aren't DIs.
-
The rules are simple, if a DI goes on the field another american must come off. Flanders is a DI you can't pull a canadian off the field for him, he can only go on in place of an american.
-
Well we didn't have Leggett at the end of the season either, and it seems to me there was a noticeable drop off when he went out too. So yeah compared to the playoff game 2 new linebackers who are in the top teir at their respective positions should damned well improve the D. The other factor to consider is the change in ratio. We don't need to start 3 Canadians on D anymore, we are only looking at starting 1, that right there makes the D much stronger on paper.

Bomber homer mode engaged! Let's go with Bowman cause you know Lapos red zone offense is going to be "throw is up for Bowman"

I am not convinced that the esks OL is great, I think Reilly is the key there. He is a slippery bugger who is hard to sack and is a leading to escape and keep plays alive. -
I actually like more threads as opposed to less, what irks me is the people who create a thread for every mundane thought that pops into their head.

It really does look like a sneaky advert.

Cut Down Day - - Wild Assed Guesses (WAG System)

I just assume that any Canadian with any kind of pedigree is going to land in Saskatchewan cause they are such a mess with their ratio. -
so replacing an allstar tackle with a guy who hasn't done the job before, what is your fascination playing guys in strange positions just for fun?
-
BC wanted to win that game plain and simple, why else was the #1 offense out there into the third quarter? BC wanted the win, Winnipeg was looking at their backups.
-
Neufeld at tackle is bad news, but we saw what the line looked like without Bond and Neufeld at guard last year, and it was fine, as good as it was all year. So I dunno why we would even entertain Neufeld at RT when that has been a disaster every time they've tried it, but having 2 american tackles and 3 canadians inside worked at the end of last year. Bond was great and a big part of changing the fortunes of this team when he went in, and the Riders are absolute idiots for thinking they have better options than him, but the simple fact is that the Bombers have spent a lot of draft picks on the offensive line and have done well bringing in other American offensive linemen that we are in a position where we can lose a guy like Bond and carry on with a strong offensive line.

It's not about the leader it's about the party. Liberals in Ontario passed everyone off so it's the PC's turn as the NDP are too fringe.
-
Proportional representation only gives a louder voice to fringe elements. I much prefer our current system because it forces governments to appeal to moderates in order to win.
-
Being able to run is fine, but if you can't play from the pocket you won't succeed in the cfl today.
-
Yeah cutting Bond is a case of Jones having no clue how to build a roster when there is a ratio to deal with.
