Henoc Muamba is dumber than a sack of hammers. Hell of an athlete but just a real dumb **** from everything I read abou thim.
-
How many times have guys got excited by all the tall receivers they signed in the offseason only to have them not pan out? Size doesn't make a receiver good, it's just something that helps.
-
Give me a team that wins more than it loses in the regular season every time and eventually the playoffs will take care of themselves. Seriously people don't we remember what happened the last times we fired coaches because making the playoffs just wasn't good enough?
-
The only opinion from Rod Pedersen that has any merit is how Chris Jones ass tastes.
-
yeah the honest trailers are usually pretty solid, some of them are just perfect.
-
OK serious question here, is there really THAT much difference between 220 and 215? Like honestly 5 pounds makes a guy too small or big enough?
-
I don't know, which is why I don't go about making statements about exact contract values.
-
plus incentives... that seems to me like it can add up pretty quickly since it's probably pretty easy to hit incentives.
-
A lot of those changes seem like change for change sake and I hate that. Why give the refs more to worry about? They already can't handle the workload they already have.
-
My theory is that he's actually kind of dumb dumb.
-
What I wonder is at what point does the guy just want some job security? You know don't go for the biggest pay day all the time and get a good salary on a stable team and keep playing rather than going through this whole dog and pony show every year trying to play people against each other to get the maximum dollars. I really think that Muamba's agent is the driving force behind this. Probably always in his ear about how much money he can make and all that. Guy has been a pain in the ass since day 1 and I just wouldn't pay top dollar and change my teams salary structure for a player who is known to be a total mercenary.
-
Walters has always been pretty good about not getting involved in the dog and pony show of just giving guys money for the sake of getting them signed. He's a methodical and thoughtful guy. Doesn't make impulsive decisions and I like that about him.

That one was pure politics and it goes all the way back to Chretiens campaigning on "we will remove the GST" it was purely a very prominent way for them to play the "see unlike the Liberals we keep our campaign promises, you can trust us when we tell you something" It wasn't done with any intent of actually being good for the budget and I am sure they knew that when they did it, they simply wanted to give a big old middle finger to the Liberal party.
-
You know I think Slay was a case of people liked the name so much they turned him into a better prospect than he actually was.
-
Yeah but they did a lot of their work with the finances on the backs of the GST and NAFTA which were Mulroneys babies. See here is the thing, a lot of times you don't see the true impacts of a government until they are actually out of office. The other thing that Chretien and Martin did to help them balance the books was download more costs onto the provinces. It's not a simple black and white issue ever with the budget. There are so many moving pieces and so many long term things that it is hard to simply look at one snap shot in time and say X did this.
-
Well they did cut the corporate tax rates, which is a pretty right wing thing to do. Like I said, they are pretty lock step with the conservatives on most economic issues.
-
Yeah let's not pretend that there wasn't a massive global recession at the time. Not to mention he was in a minority situation and had to pander to the left with some spending to keep the government going. It's never black and white with deficits and budgets and honestly too much is made of deficits from year to year.
-
If a guy is as talented as all that, then it really doesn't matter, just bring him in and you can always find a spot for him. I really don't believe that there is one position and one position only for guys like that, I think that if they're able to play they're able to play.

This meme needs to die. The Liberals are not a left wing party. They are the very definition of a middle of the road party. Campaign on the left govern on the right. They have more common ground with the conservatives than they do with the NDP. The fact of the matter is that NDP supporters are just desperate to pretend that they are not a fringe party. They'e the ones that are out in left field while the Conservatives and Liberals are battling over the middle ground. If you vote Liberals thinking it's going to be in any way similar to the NDP you're gonna have a bad time. With the Liberals and Conservatives you're going to get the same basic style of government, just the Liberals might make some more noises about social progress where as the Conservatives are busy trying to get their idiot base to keep quiet about their social conservatism because they don't really want to go down those roads but will throw them the odd bone.
-
classy or not, he's right. I too laughed at the people who thought it was a major election plank and actually thought they'd go through with it. Like the Liberals would ever ditch the system that has seen them form more governments than anyone else and see the NDP get more power? Not a chance. It was just another in the long line of lie the Liberals will feed people. Actually it shocked the hell out of me that people have such short attention spans that they don't remember the last Liberal government... It's been their MO for a long long time. Flat out lie in elections to win and then do whatever the hell they want when they get in. Nicknames like Fiberals and Liebrals didn't come from nowhere.

Muamba is a good player, but is he reliable? Been a mercenary the whole time, not sure that's the guy you make changes to your roster for.
-
What if Santos-Knox can play the middle well? Then all this whining about the position and not making a big splash in FA is all for nothing... but I guess that's what Bomber fans love to do is whine about things in the offseason.

The Rock has been a movie star for so long it's time to stop even considering him a wrestler. Why would he take that risk? Why put his body through that?
