  1. Well if I had to guess I suspect they discovered that making money is harder than just opening a business. It's sad but it's a tough market out there.
  2. You will notice that I didn't just blame the NHL though, I put blame on the IOC and IIHF as well. They were all greedy money grubbing assholes and as fans we have all suffered. Now I have no doubts that the ratings are down for mens hockey, that's what happens when the game all happen in the middle of the night.
  3. One might argue that the bombers have employed a great many POS qbs over the years.
  4. Muamba is going to go to where ever gives him the biggest pay cheque, and I doubt it'll be Kyle Walters but I guess you never know.
  5. See I never understood when curlers refer to themselves by a position... to me a curler is a curler and they can play anywhere in the lineup. If someone is too controlling to not call the shots then that's a flaw as a player (and I know because that was me when I was younger and less laid back)
  6. **** Homan but it's embarrassing to the program. Jennifer Jones was there watching her husband, shoulda just asked her to step in and show her how it's done.
  7. but the problem is the neg lists are so fluid those players might get dropped the next day.
  8. someone needs to explain to the folks down south that "Spring" in Canada doesn't mean what they think it means
  9. so we should sign kuale?
  10. pot this is kettle....
  11. They are still conservative and they'll still rely on lots and lots of field goals.
  12. I am OK with them going with a recruit at MLB, but I still want them to sign Muamba just to hear the funny noises that the gappers will make. Plus if Muamba holds a grudge against Jones for the shabby treatment it can only be a good thing playing against them right?
  13. and we're still going to see them throwing for 6 yards when they need 8.
  14. Problem is it's still a Lapo offense which means plenty of punts and field goals so yeah, Medlock is going to be the guy doing most of our scoring still.
  15. I say the OL made the biggest difference when Bond went in, but it was less about Bond himself and nore about removing the weakest link and making it stronger across the board. They have progressed though since then and we saw them do very well without Bond at the end of last year so I ain't worried. Some good american tackles on each end and then we should have the required Canadians inside now ater drafting and developing the position Walters entire time here.
  16. yeah you're right
  17. but Blade 3 gave us Ryan Reynolds sass mouthing Triple H, can it really be THAT awful?
  18. The biggest thing with the Riders is the cutting of guys they signed recently to big deals to me should make guys questions whether they even want to go there. A lot of players like security and don't like to be dicked around.
  19. I say that if we want to sign Muamba we have the trump card, where else is a better place to stick it to Jones than here? Can you imagine if all the Rider NI depth from last year is here playing well as the Bombers see post season success while the Riders do their usual craptacular season? The very thought of it warms my heart.
  20. I dunno who won, but I know who lost, the Riders.
  21. easy to forgive Muamba when it's a **** you to the Riders.
  22. But this isn't that black and white, guy was still getting young girls drunk looking for sex. Like I said, creepy. Nothing illegal, but makes him come across as a creep.
  23. no, a lot of times it starts at the party level. Really nothing the guy has done is criminal, but he still looks like a creep, and is a creep really the face you want to have going into a general election? The party was well within their rights to tell the guy to step down because it hurt their chances of winning an election. There is a difference between guilt and innocence, but for public servants like politicians the appearances do matter like it or not.
  24. Somewhere along the way hollywood types started to think that subverting expectations alone made movies great. Sorry but that's not the case. it still have to be executed well.
