  1. You get over looked in favour of Lefevour who was even worse in the game they both got to play then yeah the team has shown the confidence they have in you. Kind of disgraceful if you ask me. You make it seem like he's the guy you're grooming and then one bad performance in a game where the entire offense was flatter than the province of Saskatchewan and the guy is riding the pine... How do you come back from that?
  2. Wait for October to roll around?
  3. when was the last time a guy actually got hurt running a sneak? I wouldn't worry about anyone getting hurt doing that. More likely to get hurt standing in the pocket than doing the short yardage stuff.
  4. There is definitely lots of blame to go around. The simple fact is that Kyle Walters likes to spend his high draft picks on the offensive and defensive line and we've got at this point 3 maybe 4 starters out of those positions. Either those high draft picks gotta start playing and get us up to 4 or 5 guys between the two or they gotta start making picks at other positions with the high picks.
  5. I would unfortunately think that a renegotiated deal is coming pretty quick for Collaros, but hey here's to hoping they pay him the assload of money he's owed in this contract.
  6. I don't know why everyone was convinced he wasn't coming back to start with. There was no indication that he was on the hot seat from Mike O'Shea, if he was going to be fired it was never going to happen quickly and the most likely scenario was always that he got another season.
  7. You don't have to look very hard to find people disliking this movie, and that includes both huge Star Wards nerds or people who are more casual fans of the series. Hell Noeller has never watched a Star Wars movie and about the only thing he knows about The Last Jedi is that the reaction has been negative. So if you are unaware that it's not universally loved you have got to be living under a rock. Honestly it's problems all come down to poor writing and directing. I don't know a lot about Rian Johnson but based purely on this movie I would say that he is completely unprepared to take on a blockbuster like this. JJ Abrams did a much better job with The Force Awakens. I would have liked to see what he did with the story he set up, because it's obvious that continuing that story wasn't important to the people who made this movie.
  8. I disagree with this. Lucas wrote some super clunky dialogue, but the plot and story was actually pretty cohesive. I don't expect Oscar worthy screen writing, but I expect them to actually follow the basics of story telling. You know, things like show don't tell, don't waste time on useless things. Develop characters properly. Those are things the original movies did well that this movie did not do. I mean in the original Star Wars movies no one had to constantly talk about how bad ass Darth Vader was, we saw it on screen multiple times. Whereas Kylo Ren, his power is talked about far more than it is ever shown. Just one example. It is possible to point out the flaws in this movie without it simply being dismissed because you like the movie. This is a flawed movie and everyone who knows anything about making movies will agree with that.
  9. You don't need to be some kind of genius to have made that movie good. Hell you can even keep most of the basic points that were in the movie and churned out a good one, but you can not be as lazy as they were with the writing. It's like the only people that they actually tried to have any kind of real character development for were Rey and Kylo, and if that's where they want to focus things that's fine, but then why did we waste so much of the movie with other characters that could have been cut from the movie without anything ever changing?
  10. That is really a big issue with the movie. It feels like it is not connected to what TFA started at all. Just threw out everything that was set up in that film.
  11. It's not whining or nerd rage to point out poor writing. That's my big gripe with the movie. Could have been a really good movie but lazy writing held it back and made the first two thirds of the movie pretty lame and it only saved itself to me with a good ending.
  12. I saw that tweet this morning and wondered how long it would be before someone brought it up here to properly mock it.
  13. The sad reality is that most fans are completely stupid. I'd find a lot of Bomber fans insufferable too if I wasn't a Bomber fan myself.
  14. ehhh I know Alec Guiness is long dead but they could just got Ewan McGregor for a cameo. It wouldn't be the biggest gripe people had about the movie, not by a long shot.
  15. Well finally got around to watching this movie... and I really do believe there was a good movie in there but peeeyeeeewwww the writing in that movie was just awful. I don't even know where to start there are a lot of things I really disliked about the movie. I don't outright hate the movie as a lot of people do, I actually felt that they did justice to Kylo Ren and I did overall like the ending of the movie (despite the flaws there too) but the first 2 acts? god awful and mostly because of the writing. Poe becomes and unlikable insubordinate who fucks everything up, Finn has a completely useless storyline that accomplishes nothing, seriously if he was never in the movie it wouldn't have changed anything about it. Luke is done OK at times but ultimately too wasted. You build up Snoke as an all powerful big bad in the universe and then have him die like a ***** without ever explaining a single thing about him. I can live with his death like that to further Kylo's character, but you can't just say he's the biggest baddest dude around and not give us any further information. Far too much telling rather than showing in this movie. I also hated the bullshit forced tension of a space chase. The resistance ships are faster than the first order ships and that's how they get away, OK I can buy that, but you're telling me that they can't pull away after that much time and actually get out of range? That's soooooo lame and symptomatic of the poor writing in this movie. In the climax if they were determined to have Luke die than I woulda had him show up in his X-Wing at the end and **** **** up and then actually duel Kylo Ren and not waste the opportunity to give the "If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine" speech. Since they are so determined to rehash things from the original trilogies that was a wasted opportunity in my mind. Which brings me to another point, yes we all like Yoda, but I can't help but think it would have been more impactful to have Obi-Wan show up as a force ghost to Luke instead. So yeah, I don't know a whole lot about Rian Johnson but the problems with this movie all seem to be his fault. Bad writing, bad directing, no one to blame but him.
  16. It's not dependent on him signing, it's dependent on the ticats offering a contract. So as long as Hamilton makes an offer they don't lose his rights even if it takes them a month to negotiate a deal.
  17. Well most of the busts occur when someone gets beat in a one on one situation... Presumably if you don't need to always bring your safety down you can sometimes leave him back to help, or change your coverage up so that someone else is providing more help over the top. There were a lot of times last season where it was the dbs having to stick with a guy one on one and if they got mixed up in their coverages it was a big play against. Now we can go round and round all day long about whether that was a scheme issues or it was a problem of covering for a sub par linebacking corps (cause let's face it we were lacking at both the middle and WIL position until Santos L. Halper stepped up late in the season and Wild returned)
  18. One might argue that with a better all around stopper in the middle of the field that the safety would then be more free to help over the top as opposed to having to basically play linebacker as well.
  19. Rider fans are insufferable.
  20. Nope. They fully expect him to play.
  21. I hate you both
  22. Now there's a hair cut you could set your watch to
  23. People need to stop and think for a second... Hamilton did better with Masoli than they did with Collaros last year. Now I believe that Collaros is better than he showed but let that sink in. Masoli! You got outplayed by Masoli and you're the saviour for the green team? **** off with that noise.
  24. and if they don't sign collaros it will be a disappointing 17-1 season.
  25. Yeah any team that has to play a receiver at DB is not going to list the secondary as a strength IMO.
