  1. Loved it. Soon as I turned it on and saw it was snowing I knew it'd be a fun game. Came down to the final play, all you can ask of a Grey Cup. (well that and a Bomber win, but next year, next year is the year)
  2. Everyone knew BLM had issues, he was not great for a lot of this season and the D in Calgary carried them through a lot of games.
  3. I personally would like to see him stay with the Stampeders, and I hope he gets a locker right next to Jorden.
  4. rightly trying to purge everything about the third movie.
  5. I am not even sure they played all that well, they just happened to make a couple big plays, two of which can be called flat out stamps errors. They had a huge passing play for the touchdown, they got the fumble on a misguided fight for extra yards by the stamps receiver and then they got the int into double coverage on ego mitchell trying to be a hero, outside of that they were the inferior team all game long, but that's football, make the big plays when the opportunity is there win games.
  6. That's why we need better depth, and that's on Kyle Watlers scouting staff. Lots of fine draft picks and good results in general through free agency, but a bit slow to find our own recruits. Get that figured out and suddenly your depth improves. Now I think we saw some more success this year so perhaps things are getting built up, shall see what happens next year in training camp.
  7. The thing is, every great coach is a rookie at some point. You gotta hire right people and let them grow into the proven winners, and I think Mike O'Shea is well on his way to that. I mean christ, this team has just won 11 and 12 games in the past 2 seasons. It's not like they're barely limping into the playoffs or anything.
  8. They both got fired cause Lyle Bauer wanted to replace them because he was desperate to be the man who brought a cup to Winnipeg. See how it works? You think there's something better out there and you make these rash moves and it winds up setting you back. There was talk that Bauer wanted to replace Ritchie way back in 2001, but they won enough games that year that an extension automatically kicked in and how can you move on when that season just happens? So Ritchie held tight to his veterans as the years moved on cause those were the guys he trusted when he knew Bauer was just waiting for any excuse to can him. Berry was a casualty of Bauer wanting to bring in Mike Kelly for sure, but it was the step back after making the Grey Cup in 07 that made it possible. Again, thinking the grass was greener on the other side. Look how long it took for the team to get back on stable footing after that disaster. Why are we in such a rush to fire people when they are winning more than they are losing currently and we are finally starting to rebuild some NI depth for the first time in god knows how long?
  9. This is fantastic.
  10. They fired Dave Ritchie cause they were impatient for a cup, made the team worse and set it back years. They fired Doug Berry for the same reasons, made the team worse put it into a huge hole. I'd rather let this regime keep on putting up winning seasons rather than canning them thinking the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. If they start missing the playoffs then we will talk, but until then forget about the streak. It matters not.
  11. I'd take a winning season and no Grey Cup vs. a losing season and no Grey Cup. Keep putting up winning seasons the Cup will come eventually. Don't over think things here guys. Enjoy the ride and as long as this team keeps winning more than it loses sooner or later the playoffs will see wins.
  12. Has there been any indication at all that Ray is going to retire? Or is this just a case of the media having already buried him last year trying to get a feel good story to run with? Cause unless he himself has hinted at it I just can't see Ray retiring, especially now that he's got a coach that makes his job that much easier and that he can win again with.
  13. And absolutely everything we have heard is that guys want to come to Winnipeg and play for O'Shea. Really makes Kyle Walters job easier. Just one more thing to sell a guy on when trying to get their interest.
  14. see Tim Burke.
  15. Stamps arrogance cost em. BLM trying to play the hero and making the big passes the entire time. He wanted the highlight to be his toss into the endzone no question, instead it's him throwing a dumb dumb interception when they were in position to at least tie the game. Looks good on him cause he's really only a step above douchebags like Duron Carter. And then the Stamps players start pointing fingers at each other, hooo boy that's gonna be a fun offseason. Flying apart at the seams we can hope.
  16. but good pizza and good beer go hand in hand, why half ass this?
  17. So are you implying then that O'Shea doesn't hold players accountable? Cause the original comments were in regards to what O'Shea was saying to the media. I can guarantee that there is accountability within the locker room, it goes completely against a guy like O'Sheas personality for players to not be accountable. That doesn't mean however that he's going to start doing what some fans want and using the media to hold them accountable.
  18. You don't hold players accountable in the media, and if you think that's how it happens you are hilariously mistaken. All talking **** about guys in the media does is throw them on the bus.
  19. I have faith in oshea. Not as much these coordinators but I also know that oshea isn't as loyal as people think. Everyone swore he'd never fire his special teams coordinator a couple years ago yet he did. Guy likes to win, he is just more patient than fans are and let's be honest, a lot of Bomber fans ran out of patience a long time ago.
  20. We have seen more disasters here than we deserve as fans, back to back double win seasons is in no way shape or form a disaster. You wanna go back to a Jim Daley coached team? Or a Tim Burke coached team? Those were disasters.
  21. No kidding, you don't go out and say "oh there is a link" when you could get your asses sued into oblivion over that. Gotta plead ignorance.
  22. Pretty interesting stuff. Glad that the players at least recognize Moe Leggett for the player he is. Seems like the kind of guy everyone around the league notices yet the media ignores. Also neat to see them showing O'Shea the love. Players coach if I've ever seen one.
  23. TIL 12 wins is a disaster.
  24. I think that is probably a function of the kind of team we have. Lots of yards given up and dink and dunk lots of field goals offense. Not like he is getting a big play offense or a stingy defense.
  25. Yeah having listened to most of the broadcast crews via satellite radio I can assure you Bob is the best ainec. We have no idea how lucky we are to have Bob.
