  1. Harris and Flanders you're up. Good thing those two have pretty much killed the Esks this season already.
  2. Leggett is arguably the best defensive player in the league and can't get any recognition. Totally jobbed.
  3. I approve of your taking a hard stand while also leaving yourself ample room to backtrack out of it.
  4. You can only beat the team that is lined up against you, and beat the Stamps the Bombers did. I mean it's not like it was Nichols vs. Buckley and Stanzi out there. Stamps had the same backup qb advatange the Bombers did, we avoided mistakes better than they did and our lines outplayed theirs by a lot. Our star Canadian RB also outplayed their star Canadian RB. Stop downplaying what happened. It's not the be all and end all for determining where these two teams are at, but it's not like you are trying to make it sound either.
  5. good thing reporters prefer flashy offensive stats to defensive players.
  6. The offense as a whole has been pretty lacklustre the last few weeks, are we really going to get down on a bunch of receivers for not having big stat lines in that case? The only criticism I will level at a receiver based on those games is Washington has got to stop bobbling passes and flat out dropping the easy ones cause he's done that way too much for my liking.
  7. I call everyone out, your comment was just the most insane one and now you're upset about it. I dunno maybe you didn't think before posting but either way, you put it out there for the world to see and now you wish you hadn't.
  8. Yeah, forced turnovers. The Stamps didn't force that kind of turnover or score off the ones they did get so their performance wasn't the same. Most of those turnovers were the kind that are caused purely because the front 7 is disrupting things. Stamps couldn't get a run game going which put it all on the arms of the backup qbs and they got to them over and over with the rush which got into their heads. You can try giving some credit to the Bombers you know, it won't kill you. The defensive line has been pretty good the last while here not like this was a one off game, and TSN spent a long time talking about how great the Stamps OL has been this year.
  9. Then start listening to me. Guy is OK as a backup, not good as a starter, the fact that he can't stay healthy is just the cherry on top. Just cause Kyle Walters loves the guy doesn't mean he was actually playing great. He is OK at best, but he's not always at his best. Guy's best situation is to be playing in spot duty cause he doesn't get overwhelmed.
  10. people liked Swaggerville more than this D....
  11. Gonna go ahead and disagree with that. Neufeld is the perfect backup OL cause he can play a little bit, and play basically any position, but he's not a guy you want starting all the time, especially not starting all the time at one of your tackle positions.
  12. So then how come the Stamps defense didn't turn in a similar performance against the Winnipeg backup qb? I mean christ one of the very first plays of the game Nevis blew up the Stamps OL and put Messam on his ass. Meanwhile Harris fought hard for every inch and turned short gains into good gains all night. This game came down to one simple thing, the Bombers won the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Yeah Lefevour wasn't any hot hell, but the Bombers lines outplayed the Stamps lines and as a result there were less mistakes by the Bombers. BLM ain't going to change that much, the Stamps O has been pretty suckass the last month or so.
  13. But what kind of game plan do you come up with when Jennings is the qb? All the guy has ever shown an ability to do is huck it deep and hope his receivers bail him out.
  14. I suspect he was more of an inside kid and these sportings things are foreign to him. No wonder he doesn't understand. But guarantee you ask him about comic books and such he's got a valid opinion.
  15. I made a comment about winning the Grey Cup and you said that meant we'd keep Hall, it wasn't a positive comment, how else are we supposed to interpret that? You don't want to get called out for preferring to fire a coach than win a championship then don't make comments like that.
  16. Honestly the important take away from the Calgary game for me was how much the defensive line and linebackers owned the guys upfront for the Stamps. They were legitimately playing well against the Stamps starting OL group and that carries over no matter who is behind centre. Sure BLM probably does better in the face of pressure than a back up qb, but defensively it all starts by getting pressure from the guys up front.
  17. Oh I completely agree, Toronto could easily go on a run and win it all. They've been playing pretty good football towards the end of the year and we know they have a qb who can win and a coach who can win. Always dangerous combo.
  18. Why bother? Reilly is the MOP already and the Esks are the hottest team in the league right now! They are the clear favourites to win the Cup, I heard it on TV so it has to be true, Bombers might as well spend the week cleaning out their lockers because there's no chance to stand up to the dominance of the Eskimos.
  19. As a team we score more points than they do.
  20. One of their touchdowns went through Lofflers hands off his face as well.
  21. Seems to me Reilly gets impatient against our D and will try and force something that leads to interceptions. Even in the first game vs. the esks if the dbs didn't have stone hands we likely come out with a few ints.
  22. Only look at the good years and the guy was the most successful coach ever!
  23. Alouettes GM will clean house after 3-15 season, but says team 'is not a mess' If you say so Kavis, if you say so.
  24. Agreed. There's lots of teams that could go on a run and win it all and the consistency year to year is what really matters. 11 and 12 win seasons back to back is awesome and going above .500 next year too means this team has fianlly stopped shooting itself in the foot. That's something we can all enjoy.
