Yeah Evans had a good season in 2019. To say otherwise is just insane... but the Bombers D broke him in that grey cup game. Like mentally Evans just never got it back together. People don't appreciate how dominant that playoff 2019 bomber D was. They had some key changes late in the year that pushed them over the top.

The question is... would that have been a good use of money? Or would it be simply shifting one too rich for the age contract for another. Why not move on from both and use that cash savings somewhere else.

It's only comparable to last year if they cut all these guys who have made plays because let's be honest here, no one last season popped off the page like some of the guys have this preseason. It's night and day IMO the difference in ability between the two years. Kyle Walters and co kind of sucked last offseason.

those first three have done more to pop out than Rivers for sure. I know he's got pedigree or whatever, but the other guys just out there making plays and Rivers exists.

After the offseason I'll watch any cfl ball, and if the Bombers are playing, even if it's Bombers going to be cut the next day you can't turn it off.

Nah Thomas is just your standard vet, bighill and oshea have this weird thing and have for a long while.

I could Alexander being transitioned out, but I really believe bighill is a guy mos will need to be dragged kicking and screaming away from.

That's why I said devil's advocate. Honestly I think we should be giving some young blood a chance and hope that we do... but I'm skeptical based on who the head coach is and how he feels about veterans and not needing practise time.

To play devil's advocate here... I'd suggest that the coaches already know exactly what those players can do in the league so what's a few snaps in preseason going to tell them that they don't already know? I think decisions about MLB and safety are already pretty settled. Either a incumbent it taking the job or they know a new face can step up and claim it. No side by aide comparison needed.

Collaros being the top qb is a damning indictment of the quality of quarterback play in the cfl. Guy was inconsistent last year. I think having streveler to take some meaningful reps in a game will help change things up if collaros gets into a funk.

That's not really written for us is the problem. It's for the filthy casuals who only care about the names, like local boy demski.
