  1. Oh please, the Bombers management isn't so reactionary. They're not going to start firing people based on how they do in the playoffs. They are all about stability and the process. Fans want firings all the time, but that's fans being fans.
  2. Only cause the pansies in Ontario don't want to go outside their own little bubble in Southern Ontario. Christ if Toronto or Hamilton had to travel like Winnipeg did they'd never stop crying.
  3. He might be a decent coach but he is a deplorable human being and suspect general manager. It's going to blow up in his face because he treats people badly and that doesn't have long term staying power.
  4. Just need someone rich enough to sink the money into team and stadium, don't really see either of those happening though so we're just going to have to wait.
  5. But didn't Edmonton have to bring in a million RBs to deal with injuries?
  6. The way I see it you either play Nevis and Poop if Hurl is behind him or if you insist on playing Thomas at tackle then get a big time disruptive force in at middle linebacker. Since I don't know if they have that player on the roster at MLB then just play Nevis and Poop at the same time already! For fox creek it's not that complicated. Those two make life hell on opposing offensive lines and makes the D better. Do whatever it takes to the ratio to make it work.
  7. as far as positions on a team go it's probably the easiest one for a guy to pick up.
  8. Most CFL teams will accomodate players because they don't want to treat them poorly cause then word gets around and it's harder to get guys to come play in bum **** nowhere.
  9. Damned well better, though Neufeld starting on the OL maybe we should play Davis just so we don't get Nichols killed
  10. The fact is that everyone blames the D for giving up all the yards late in games, but a big part of that is the offense stops doing anything productive when they have a lead. They'll run for 5-8 yards then handoff again when everyone knows it's coming and get stopped and then have to punt. Lapo is passive to a fault and he plays not to lose rather than playing to win. It cost us in 2011 and it'll probably cost us again this year in the playoffs.
  11. The reason they have to have so many last minute drives is precisely because Lapo is content to go 2 and out all game long until he has no choice but to try and win the game. At least Ritchie Hall is willing and able to adjust as a game progresses. I have no great love for the bend but don't break defense, but I much prefer a guy that changes according to the game to the offensive coordinator who bases his entire game around "don't try until you're losing"
  12. Yeah that punt was damned good. Because of the camera work I was wondering if it had gone straight out of bounds, but it had to have bounced awfully close to the sidelines and honestly when a guy punts on the run you have no idea how far that thing is going to go downfield.
  13. Remember what happened the last time Winnipeg lost to an eastern team they shoulda beat? Bounced back and dominated BC until garbage time when BC got meaningless yards and points.
  14. you like an offense that pulls a disappearing act as often as this one does? Here's a controversial opinion for ya, you put a gun to my head and make me choose between Lapo and Hall I'm keeping Hall ahead of Lapo.
  15. I am sure Lapo is high on the list, but does Lapo want to go into that mess? I doubt it. He's gonna try and pick his spot. It's a shame that he still blames others for his failures as head coach, but whatever, I am resigned to the fact that we're stuck with him.
  16. Worth remembering the only way a loss to BC means we need a win in Calgary to host a playoff game is if the Esks beat Calgary this week, and if that's the case then suddenly Calgary is on a 2 game losing skid and aren't as insurmountable an obstacle as they might seem.
  17. your entire doom and gloom sentiments are just as much hyperbole. Of course teams like Hamilton have gotten noticeably better as the season has gone on, they were playing like one of the worst teams ever, there was nowhere to go but up, but the Bombers have been playing at a pretty high level for the past couple seasons, there's not as much room above them to show huge gains.
  18. At worst the Bombers are the same as last year but have a great chance to do better, in both regular season record and playoffs, get over this stupid ******* idea you have the the Bombers are coming apart at the seams and everyone else is playing amazing football.
  19. They are 11 and 5, and even with all those issues had a chance to win that game without the offense being amazing. Things are not nearly as dire as you think they are. The team has weaknesses, every team in the league does, but they find ways to win or have chances to win, can't expect much more than that.
  20. Or he's realized that opportunities are not as abundant as he thought and he's had to humble himself. Which if he'd done in the first place would have worked out better. That's the way it goes though. Sometimes guys have to make that mistake to learn about life.
  21. They lost by 1 point in a game where the kicker missed 2 kicks that should have been routine for him.... Not even holding their own? They played like **** and the Argos still needed a missed kick to win that game so get ****** with the doom and gloom ****.
  22. Bombers handled both the esks and lions without a lot of problems already this month. Not overly concerned.
  23. Yes, prior to them being eliminated they were the team that concerned me the most about putting on a good playoff performance.
  24. I hope you're proud of yourself...
