  1. We said that last year too though... and lest we forget 2001....
  2. The vision that Roberts had was something else. Just always seemed to know where the holes were. Plus the acceleration and balance. Could change directions and being going full speed so quick made him hard to get a good hit on. I will likely never forgive him for the 07 Grey Cup, but dude was a talent that doesn't come around often.
  3. I think this is true in other sports as well. You see it in the NHL a ton as well. Teams and players with a reputation of being good get away with a lot more than teams or players with the bad reputation.
  4. AINEC
  5. Was more about he didn't put in a lot of effort off the field. If he put in the effort that a guy like milt did to be the best he could be his legacy would have been insane. As it was though he was a guy with a ton of God given talent and just rolled with that.
  6. Jesus Christ people, when Lapo was here before, I think 2003 Roberts was our #3 in receptions. Harris is a great receiver out of the backfield but let's not act like Roberts wasn't. He was a much better runner than Harris and that tips the scales. Roberts routinely made guys look like assholes when they should have had him dead to rights.
  7. I think some of you are forgetting how good Roberts was... He was a great pass catching back too and he didput in effort blocking when asked. The only major plus for Harris is his attitude. Harris is good and a Canadian, but Roberts was better.
  8. Roberts was the better talent, I would love to see what he would do with this offensive line... but Harris is way more of a professional and that matters.
  9. Every quarterback in the league will have an off game if he's under pressure. Every single one of them. There were quite a few passes Reilly got out just in time but missed his target cause he had to rush it or he was gonna be killed. The Bombers on D were ready to play this game. Hell the Esks tried a screen pass at one point but the Bombers DL recognized they got through too easy and turned around and tackled the back for like a 10 yard loss. Just a real impressive display from everyone involved on the D side of things.
  10. The CFL is always cyclical. Defenses rise and offenses adjust and defenses have to change again.
  11. Reilly was off because the Bombers were getting pressure on him. Not to mention the secondary being healthy is a lot better than we've used in the past. Both Alexander and Walker had damned good games and broke up some deep attempts. I don't really care what the yardage given up wound up being, the Bombers D played pretty damned good against Edmonton. Medlock doesn't have his worst game ever and this was likely a very lopsided game.
  12. Thing is, even if they aren't so **** hit you'd have a hard time saying the riders aren't 3rd best right now. Edmonton and bc in free fall the east a giant steaming pile.... It's a two horse race in the CFL right now
  13. Pretty crappy terrorist who shows up after the game has started. What did he get stuck in traffic? Seems to me it's more a case of a nut job being inspired by terrorists and notching the thing pretty bad. Don't get me wrong it's sad for the people injured but 0 deaths is good news and really shows me an ineffective "terror attack. Crazies by crazy simple as that in my opinion
  14. The problem is ten has no consistency. Some weeks they stay with the game in progress, other weeks they start the next game and move the one in progress to another channel. It's ******* stupid.
  15. Was never a doubt in my mind as I watched that game that Winnipeg would win. Was closer on the scoreboard than the field. Medlock was replaced by a doppelganger or they run away early. I would also personally like to thank randle for that one to shut up the very loud ignoramuses sitting behind me. I resisted the urge to pull out my keys and start a beat the traffic chant at that point but damn was that satisfying. Crowd hates it that their receivers aren't getting away with pi anymore. That Adams touchdown was a beauty too. Right in front of the seats and o question he made that one good. Was surprised the refs took so long talking about it. Glad they eventually called a td just so they got the review. I'd have been awfully angry if they called it no td after mos had to use his challenge earlier to fix their obvious missed roughing the passer.
  16. Riders were ****, they got lucky on that fumble review and got lucky that the Redblacks were playing a terrible qb. Classic case of a game that no one deserved to win. Glenn was horrible, but ***** for Ottawa was way worse.
  17. Hit Reilly less need to cover.
  18. That is a great idea. Though probably pretty expensive since it's highly likely there would be a lot of claims being made, but I bet they could make something work.
  19. OK that at least makes sense, though I am not worried about being tied with any teams to be honest. Just don't think it's in the cards. We will either finish ahead of them or we won't.
  20. I don't think Hefney ever flew under the radar, he was legitimately a top defender in the league and recognized as such I always thought.
  21. Why does it matter how much they lose by?
  22. The Esks DL is much healthier and their secondary much improved since last we faced them. Good thing their linebackers still look iffy.
  23. Ehh this isn't the first time Bluto has been on his soap box about the Argo jerseys. Some things never change, except now not only are Bomber fans proven to be the loudest, we've also definitively proven that Winnipeg has the best jersey as well. #Science.
  24. Plus you know, I'm looking for the Bombers to end their losing streak in Alberta when I am in attendance watching the game... That's what is really important here. I don't want to drive all the way to Edmonton to watch them get their asses handed to them... again.
  25. Kavis Reed doesn't joke about consequences.
