  1. I think that's more a statement on how ****** up the situation is in Montreal than anything else. Teams matter for qbs.
  2. the problem is this discussion was never intended to assume full health across the league, it was in it's current state right now.
  3. No not at all! All you need to do is not say stupid things like Mike O'Shea is the reason you gave up your season tickets because he's not a good coach. I mean he is showing that he's a pretty damned fine coach right now, but you say you're just more objective, no, you are not objective, there's a word for it, and it's wrong. But instead of slinking away like most people do when so clearly shown they don't know what they're talking about you are choosing to double down and try and back track out of it. Just accept it, you were wrong and people aren't going to let your forget it.
  4. Hey Nichols is among the best in the league this year full stop. Yeah Davis hasn't shown much, but in both preseason and garbage time (again, not a lot to go on) he looked good, so really in a hypothetical situation where a bunch of qbs are hurt is it that crazy to say the Bombers might have the best qb situation? Glenn with a banged up hand and fall coming on and Bridge? Get ******, Reilly just throwing up hopes and prayers and Franklin? Hard to buy that. BLM and Buckley? Well Buckley is pretty much the same position as Davis for us and I'd argue Nichols has been better than BLM.
  5. Kevin Glenn was pretty **** his last 2 outing so get that out of there. What's Edmonton done of note lately? I know people are just conditioned to be skeptical that Winnipeg has even one good qb, but we have a good situation right now.
  6. Well he had a great pass to Harris that just got dropped that woulda made his limited reps look really impressive, but I think it's more a case of a lot of sad sack qb situations around the league right now due to injuries and what not.
  7. And he had some losing seasons when he first came to this mess of a team! How DARE he!
  8. Talking about giving up season tickets sounds like hopping off the bandwagon to me. And call it being objective all you like but it doesn't make it true. You were dead wrong and can't accept that so you are trying to pretend that your opinion was valid even though we now see it was dead wrong. The internet has a long memory and you will always be THAT guy.
  9. Calgary can be had. They're a good team that knows how to win there is no mistake about that, but they ain't as scary as they were. BLM looks like he is playing hurt and that makes a big difference. Think they got a bunch of receiver injuries too that lessens the threat their offense can be. I actually feel like there are a lot of teams in the CFL this year that aren't that great. Edmonton and BC have fallen off their early success and both look awfully ordinary right now. Is it crazy to say that Calgary and Winnipeg are the only teams that pretty consistently play well week to week?
  10. Wes Cates ? They really will put anyone in their plaza of honour won't they
  11. definitely helmet on helmet contact. Unfortunate cause the receiver ducked into the helmet, but you can't do that no more.
  12. yay! no sacks for the DL tonight!
  13. Cause it's raining? That's ******* stupid
  14. You are aware that we are not the united states correct? Canada may buy oil from those places, but we are certainly not dependent on them. We as a nation are a net exporter of oil. Hell even the Americans with shale oil becoming viable these days can pretty much supply themselves. That's one of the biggest reasons the price of oil tanked. OPEC didn't like it when they weren't relied on.
  15. Rye is pretty harsh in general to drink straight up. It's not exactly the expensive scotches or something we're talking about.
  16. I think a more accurate way to put it is China is going full blast trying to be energy self sufficient. They don't have a ton of oil, certainly nowhere near enough to meet their own needs so they need to look at other ways to do it.
  17. Truly the best fans in the league are Bomber fans. Where's our parade TSN?
  18. I think the role was bad and no actor could have saved it so therefore I am not willing to put the blame on Eisenberg. The whole movie was a badly written mess, not going to start trashing the actors for not turning chicken **** into chicken salad
  19. Yeah the Argos coming in 2nd to the Bombers is totally legit. Here is my question though, how in the hell did this happen? Don't the green bastards usually just homer vote these things into meaninglessness?
  20. QUOTING BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE NEED TO READ THIS! Seriously, the reason the guy isn't getting playing time is because the DL as a whole has gotten a lot deeper this year. I think people need to stop expecting draft picks to step in immediately. Even a guy like Henoc Muamba, who was a real good NI player didn't get a lot of playing time to start his rookie season.
  21. So you're blaming the actor for the role that was written?
  22. That's what I am talking about though, they're trying to straddle the middle ground between two things and not succeeding terribly well as either. As Star Trek it doesn't compare, as a comedy it's just not funny enough. I wanted to give it a chance but it's really just all around crappy. McFarlane is a funny dude but he is hella weak as the lead in a show like that. Patrick Stewart he ain't.
  23. D and O both. Neither one is going to ever blow anyone out. Lapo gets a lead and it's all 2 yard passes and punts.
  24. OK well you're right about Canada, we're pretty insignificant on the global scale, but the US is huge and any changes they make absolutely have a huge impact, but I agree with the sentiment of your post. Need the developing economies on board as well otherwise things will just keep getting worse.
