  1. Masterful at having a good cap situation and not making playoffs anyway.....
  2. I'm not, I am arguing with Mikes position that because the players say they like it there's no way it can be a negative move. Again, reading more in than was ever there.
  3. Of course what I said is correct. I never said anything about laziness, that's something you are reading into it when it was never there. All I said was players don't want to hit/get hit in practise, which can be for a variety of reasons including laziness or self preservation or what ever else. All I said was the players being in favour of the move doesn't mean anything about how it will impact performance, we simply don't know that from their statement, all we can tell from that is that they don't want contact, which has been a player position for ever basically.
  4. I mean he had to change for the banjo bowl because he got his lunch money stolen and stuffed in a locker on labour day with the game plan he came up with.
  5. I'm sorry but the players liking it doesn't hold as much weight as that. Guys don't want to get hit in practise? no ****. Doesn't say anything about how good or bad this is from a performance standpoint, it only says that players don't want to have to hit or be hit in practise.
  6. Ian Wild also.
  7. Laugh tracks aren't the problem, over use in unfunny shows are the problem.
  8. or is he just trying to sing a song?
  9. Or, Steve Jobs was just a better snake oil salesman than what they have now cause I don't see any differences in the what Apple is selling now, just that they can't polish up those turds as well as they used to.
  10. Nah you could see that Montreal was going to become insane. They never had a plan in place for when Calvillo retired and it was always going to burst apart at the seems once than happened. Throw in the fact that they got so accustomed to running away with the crappy east you knew they'd start making bad choices the first hint of a losing season.
  11. I think it is entirely possible that old man Wetenhall is senile and doesn't know what he's doing half the time these days.
  12. Lapo is not going to leave here for a dumpster fire in Montreal. Guy is going to pick his spot when he tries for HC again and people know that head coach in Montreal right now is not going to be a good spot for anyone.
  13. Nenshi hates sports and won't play ball, with the economy in the shitter compared to what it was when the Oilers got their new arena and Liberals in power federally there is no political will at all to build an arena in Alberta anymore and the Flames will have to try all the tricks they can. I expect to hear about the Flames top brass visiting Seattle sometime to try and put pressure on Calgary. The Flames won't go anywhere though, the NHL isn't going to let that happen and neither is the saddledome so bad they can't make a go of it just yet. They got time before things get to that point.
  14. I don't follow, the traditional sitcom format is multi camera, it's the single camera stuff that is the new way they do things.
  15. The Hamilton one was never close I wouldn't include that one, and the Edmonton one I don't believe was as close as the score, but with a team that can make big plays like they do it can always get close in a hurry. So I agree that some of them were dangerous, but not always because they were close games, just the nature of football. Couple plays here and there can change everything.
  16. That's exactly why it was a stupid idea to even make this show. You're going to take a character that honestly probably only became popular because of the actors ability to play it and try and pull the same thing off with a kid? Not gonna happen.
  17. Except that the problems with Lapo are the exact same as they were when he was head coach and are the exact same as they were the first time as when he was OC the first time around. The guy is a loser as a play caller and we will always have close games with him here because he doesn't have that killer instinct as a play caller and after this much time I doubt he ever will. The fact that the team has put up good numbers is all well and good, but the numbers could be better and we are leaving too much to chance by keeping games as close as they are. It's not all on the D, the O lets other teams get back into games a hell of a lot as well either by getting into their fits of 2 and outs or by kicking field goals instead of putting touchdowns on the board.
  18. I am not talking about going for it on 3rd down or not, I am talking about some of the super passive play calling that leads to getting into 3rd down situations in the first place. Let's be honest here, Brink and Elliott weren't the only qbs he had. He had Pierce and Jyles to start with and didn't accomplish much with them. Lapo is a smart man I've said that before and he can come up with a good play books, his problem has always been with his play calling. He's just not good enough at it. You don't remember all of us here screaming for Khari to call the plays when Lapo was first here? No lack of talent on that team and the play calling was still suspect.
  19. Well for example having Medlock kick far and away more field goals than anyone else. Score touchdowns instead of field goals right? Or when he was head coach the team would always play just well enough to barely lose. Be a bit more aggressive and some of those losses turn into wins. That is wasted potential.
  20. Lapos problem isn't with his players, it's with his own attitude. Dickenson will always have a better offense because Dave Dickenson knows when to go for it and when to play safe. Lapo doesn't, he over complicates things and it leads to a lot of wasted potential.
  21. He hasn't been as good as he was his first go around in the CFL and he basically lost his job to Jeffcoat. Only reason he is on the roster presumably is because the Bombers feel they owe him a spot with the contract they gave him. The fact is though this is a better team when he is off the roster and Nevis+Poop are on the roster. As discussed Jeffcoat has been better so yeah, a big FA signing who is only on the roster cause of his contract is definitely a guy who is struggling.
  22. I was supposed to be a simple joke about how Nichols is the guy most likely to win the MOP, don't over think it.
  23. Jason Maas has always been an ******* even when he was a player.
  24. If you don't get enough dosage the thing won't go down and be more dangerous since it'll be doped up, but too much and yeah you can kill the thing. Really difficult situation. Thing looked pretty skinny in the pictures I saw as well so probably wasn't in the best of health to start with.
  25. I don't even hate the Riders, I am just totally indifferent to them as a football team, it's the fans I hate.
