Labour Day Classic: Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan

that is one magic loogie -
You're an idiot. if you think 2 scores, or 3 at it's worst I believe is garbage time in the CFL you clearly don't know anything about this league. The Bombers themselves came back from 2 scores down against Montreal with like 2 minutes to play. That's the beauty of the CFL, it's entirely possible to make up 2 scores with a couple plays. No garbage time in that one until the very end.

because people with low post counts only show up to ***** and moan about the losses and disappear when there is nothing to ***** about. it's one game but the way some of you act you'd think they were 3-7 not the other way around. Go rant at your facebook feed or twitter account rather than here if you're irrationally angry over the result of one game that the team always loses anyway.

every db gives up some catches, Randle was fine

WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE! -
it was a 2 score game, those two scores came largely as a result of 2 big plays, an INT and a big return, hardly the blow out some people are trying to turn it into. Clean up those plays or make a couple big plays of your own and the discussion is entirely different.

Yeah we got a soft team, that's why the Riders had a bunch of guys go down injured (not the fake ones either, legit ones) I said it in the chat, teams take on the personality of their head coaches and we see that with these teams. Bombers are a tough team that doesn't do a lot of dirty stuff, the Riders act like a bunch of dinks.

put that into the endzone there was still a chance, not a good one, but a chance. So yeah I don't think there was any massive error leaving Nichols in. Some peopel are just quicker to throw in the towel than others and honestly there is value to Nichols getting more snaps against the team he has to play next week.

Well he did have at least one handoff for a good gain a couple weeks ago as well. But really I put more blame on the game plan than anything else. I can remember them actually trying to go deep one time, it was just off Adams finger tips. If Lankford is in the game to be your burner then why the **** is he not even given a chance to make an impact? Why did we wait until well into the 3rd quarter to even try and push the ball downfield and loosen up the coverage the riders had on the underneath stuff? Was a loser gameplan by Lapo this week. He expected the Riders would just roll over and let us turn 2-4 yard passes into first downs. Not going to happen against teams not named Hamilton or Edmonton with their PR playing at LB. -
Nichols is still massively to the good in his win/loss ration as a Bomber and one poor outing and suddenly everything is horrible. **** sakes people calm the **** down. We almost never win on Labour Day, should be used to the worst possible outcome happening there. They'll pull their heads out of their asses for next week.

oh look here come the trolls. -
you think he would have thrown the 2 yard passes to Harris and Flanders to get immediately tackled any better than Nichols was?
-
Why did the score flatter us? Take away the fast start for the Riders was the game that one sided? I didn't think so, the difference came from the points the Riders got early and that was the margin of victory. You are over reacting to a poor start that they couldn't over come and mistakenly thinking the entire game went that way. It did not.

delay of game penalty, unsportsmanlike penalty... I mean when a guy grabs his arm that's wrapped up and goes down and then on his way off the field is laughing and fist bumping guys with said arm it's pretty ******* blatant that it's a stall tactic so throw a flag. Will end that **** pretty damned quick.

People just need to keep in mind that it's never as good as you think when you're winning and it's never as bad as you think when you're losing. Football games always come down to a handful of plays and the Riders got the plays they needed today, specifically the int and kick return early that set them up for gimmie TDs. Bombers just never made any of the kind of big plays that you need to make to win the game. It wasn't a blow out or a mismatch really, it was just the Riders got their handful of big plays early and the Bombers never got any. Difference in the game right there, they had chances to make those plays and just never made them.
-
Lapo relies on people missing tackles for his offense to work, Saskatchewan wasn't missing many tackles today so it didn't work and he had no adjustments for that fact. Now the Bombers D... they were missing tackles like it was going out of style.
-
they cracked down on the intentional offsides late in games or the intentional time count penalties, I expect them to crack down on this as well.
-
As long as Hall is the DC here get used to giving up more yards than anyone wants, just the way he is. However did you notice that they gave up less points in the 2nd half? Guy is perfectly capable of making adjustments. The trouble with this game is that they gave up 14 points off a god awful int throw by Nichols and sloppy coverage on a kick return. 14 points, that's the difference in the game all because they got sloppy in 2 areas they are normally much better at. Compounding the poor all around start was the fact that the offense went cold for a long stretch and failed to get into the endzone when they had some chances. It was a terrible first quarter, after that it wasn't too bad a game.
-
but what do emergency services buildings have to do with this?
-
Yeah I think it was Cuthbert who had the "Oh no" and I never interpreted it to be an "oh no the bombers are going to win" It always struck me as more of an expression of disbelief cause let's be honest no one expected that play to be made. I have vivid memories of exactly where I was and how I reacted to that catch. It really was a pretty spectacular thing to witness.

Blame my mom, tennis is one of her favourites so I picked it up because she would watch it all the time. Alls I know is anyone but Nadal. **** that guy and his boring ass brand of tennis.
-
well at this point he can't be any worse than Hurl. Heck we could probably just not play Hurl and have 11 guys on the field and it would be an immediate improvement!
-
I think a big part of it is that people are just waiting for someone new to shake up the scene. It's why Zverev (the good one) is getting so much hype, it's why people hold out hope that one day Kyrgios will pull his head out of his ass, Federer is 36 for gods sake and still the best player in the world, Nadal is on the wrong side of 30 and still beats everyone on clay, Djokovic and Murray are around that 30 age and starting to break down and people are wondering who fills the gap when they aren't at the top of their games anymore. Too many young players are just grinders in my opinion, just play it safe and return everything and don't lose and wait for a mistake, that's where Shapovalov brings the most hope, the kid goes for it and isn't afraid of going to the net even if it's not his strongest point in his game.

Is Mulumba better than either of the two we already have? Is he good enough and Corney good enough that we could start to phase out the older Westerman? Can we trade one of them for something we need? MOAR ASSETS!
