  1. is it possible people see Mulumba and think Muamba and that's where the linebacker confusion comes in?
  2. It's not that they are biased, it's that they're idiots.
  3. well if you want to make things easy then sure. I am all for someone putting a hurt on Glenn early and often. Hell I'll live through some penalties from Westerman if it get Glenn planted on his ass a time or two.
  4. Tsonga might have been the 8th seed but that dude hasn't done much of anything lately. Guys on the way down are a lot less scary than guys hanging around close to the top 10 in my opinion. That being said he's got a good chance to win because I really believe that momentum is a real thing.
  5. There is no question that Glenn will put up a lot of completions and a lot of yards and people will freak the **** out about it, the key will be how often that winds up in the endzone and how often the ball is turned over. Just the way Glenn plays vs. the way our D plays is going to be frustrating for us Bomber fans to watch.
  6. It's really something to see how far tennis has come in Canada. Shapovalov is winning a lot of fans with the energy he brings. I am a fan simply because he doesn't fall into the trap that a lot of players are falling into of just trying not to lose, he goes out there and goes for it and tries to dictate points. The fact that he's got a well rounded enough game to do it is great. Even if he goes out next round (And let's remember he is playing something like the 12th seed next round) what he's done the past month is pretty special. Youngest player to reach a masters semi final, youngest in a long time to go this far in a major in a long time. (for comparison at 18 Djokovic only made the third round) Hell of a run for the kid. Hope he can keep it going. Hell he's got a great chance to do even more just based on how insane this US Open is with the top players dropping like flies. He's in the opposite half of the draw to Federer and Nadal, but even they are playing like ass this tournament so far. Anyones game and it's been a long time since we could say that about a mens major tennis tournament.
  7. Or Grimey as he liked to be called.
  8. HE SLEEPS 8 HOURS A NIGHT! well he's pretty normal in that way
  9. Oh it's no misconception and I ain't talking just about the people on the internet either. Rider fans are completely blind to the rest of the league because most of them jumped on the bandwagon all too recently. Plague on the CFL and the league would be better off without them.
  10. And as if the Pats get to beak about anything anyway, that team has been a compete joke a lot longer than they've been decent.
  11. I kid you not I had a discussion once upon a time with an otherwise pretty reasonable dude, but he was a rider fan and his entire premise was Nealon Greene is just as good as Khari Jones. I mean don't say that to me when I'm sober let alone into case #2 of the night.
  12. They cheer for the riders, how preposterous is it to label them all morons? Seems like that's tremendous evidence to support the position.
  13. Yeah they all piled on the bandwagon around 2003 when the team finally did anything. TSN was hanging off their nuts and suddenly it was cool to be a rider fan. Going to Brandon University at the time and there were of course a lot of people from Saskatchewan went there, I never heard anything about football and there was only one guy used to walk around in a rider jersey (a nealon greene one at that!) but suddenly like a switch was flipped everyone was a rider fan and obnoxious about it. Moving to Calgary didn't make it any better cause there's even more of the ******* out here.
  14. it all goes back to their lack of self awareness. They aren't trying to troll, they just actually believe the nonsense they spew. It's because so many of them jumped on the bandwagon they lack the proper appreciation for the CFL as a whole and are so rider focussed in their thinking they can't see that the league is far bigger than their insignificant province.
  15. You made one post about football, it was long and a shallow attempt at football talk, the time of crap I'd expect to see on a TSN broadcast in terms of hard hitting stuff, someone called you out for that and you took a shot at them and then things got off the rails and I haven't see you say anything about football ever again. So tell me you're just here to talk football. The way you got out of sorts about the response to your lame football comments tells me that you are offended that people don't like Rider fans, so please feel free to wander back to Rider fans and enjoy the circle jerk you boys have going on over there. Or you know maybe try actually talking football and don't start bitching and whining when you start taking shots.
  16. You keep saying things like that yet all you really seem to be doing is arguing about fandom.
  17. it's because Rider fans come in with the attitude that everyone loves them and don't understand that outside of their little bubble everyone hates them because of the way they act as a group.
  18. And it's all TSNs fault. They praised the fans who actually did stick around through the shitty years and suddenly because it became cool to be a rider fan everyone decided that they were one of the best fans EVER!!!11!!one!!!1! **** em all and an 80-0 Bomber win this weekend is better than what they deserve to witness.
  19. Rider fans have no self awareness. They need to stop and think for a second why they as a group are universally reviled around the CFL. They act like they really are the greatest thing going and that everyone loves their team and them! Not the case so they can all **** off with their green tinted glasses. Even the "good" ones are insufferable. I'll happily talk football with fans from any other team, but Rider fans are the worst. Worst thing about the CFL AINEC.
  20. I will welcome any opposing fan, except Rider fans. They are a plague we are best to drive off.
  21. saw it and I laughed so sharing it here
  22. Logical would be a simple one player swap rather than having one move lead to another move
  23. I know there have been a lot of times this season where Nichols held onto the ball too long and took a sack. I dunno if he was just hanging too long or waiting for a play to open up that wasn't there or what, but maybe quicker decisions throwing it away would lead to less sacks. As long as there are no turnovers though it's all good.
  24. The simple fact is that Rider fans are the single worst thing about the CFL.
  25. best way to fit in is to not act like a rider fan.
