I don't think so, I think what it is, is that a lot of the times when pressure does come Nichols eats the ball and doesn't get away or throw it away. Maybe more sacks on similar pressures.

Hey if they want to be all about good morals then I am totally for that, but you gotta be consistent with it.

When the CFL is getting into the campaigns to end violence against women and domestic violence and then quickly took the moral high ground with the diversity is strength campaign you can't wade into that **** storm, just can not do it. I am all for second chances to people who want to earn them, but the timing of this second chance, no way. CFL is bigger than the Ticats or this guy.

That's the part that still irks me. They were all OK with it until word got out and the **** hit the fan. Props to them for eventually making the right decision, but dear god where was the forethought? Did they think no one would remember who the guy is?

2007 was more a case of Dinwiddie making a bunch of rookie mistakes that Glenn even if he was lack lustre was unlikely to make. The D really stepped up in that game, just gave too much away in turnovers.

The thing is Reilly wasn't great against Winnipeg either, one of the TDs bounced off Lofflers head for gods sake and another big play he made had 2 dbs near the receiver just failed to make the play on it. Then there was another int taken away on a BS PI call, I think Heath flat out dropped an int from him and Randle had one thrown right at him too which was picked, so really the difference between the two games was the Bomber dbs didn't have the hands while the Rider dbs did. Edmonton got their asses kicked by Winnipeg no matter what the final score said.

Riders aren't committed enough to stick to the run game so I wouldn't even worry about that. They pass and pass and then pass some more.

Give me the consistency that the Bombers show any day of the week over the wild swings that the Riders have. You consistently get the same results you know what you have, you're like the Riders where one week you **** the bed and the next you light it up I don't care what the overall numbers say, you don't know what you're going to get. No 2 game bin win streak is going to change that. Do it for 4 or 5 games in a row then you got something.

best part of that is the line about "shouldn't they put Bass inside" and we all spent last season bitching about Bass not being good enough in the middle. Take away for me is it's time for people to adjust their expectations of the middle line backer position on this team. Perhaps adjust their expectations from the defense as well since a lot of people want something Ritchie Hall has never done.

Blow out wins don't count for any more than close wins, the fact is this Bomber team is not likely to blow anyone out, they just don't play that way. They get up and they play it safe, they get down they go harder to get the lead back and then once they have it they try not to give the game away. It leads to close games and near heart attacks for us fans, but you can't argue that this team knows how to take care of it's business. The Bombers will not give the ball away like the Esks and Lions did to the Riders. They just don't do that, so without the freebies what do the Riders have? A Kevin Glenn led offense? Oooooo shaking in my boots. It's funny, Rider fans screamed the loudest that the Bombers relied too much on unsustainable turnover numbers to win, yet they seem to be thumping their chests awfully hard after 2 games with massive amounts of turnovers in their favour....

The edmonton reliance on throwing the ball up for grabs downfield bit em in the ass in that game for sure. Bombers don't play that way and they protect the ball so much better. These two games for the riders vs. BC and Edmonton are against teams with suspect OLs and qbs that love to go downfield all the time, they feasted by making plays on the ball, but I don't see that happening vs. winnipeg. I mean anything can happen on Labour Day so there's always a chance of a loss, I mean Rocky Butler won on Labour Day, but I ain't even worried. Bombers are a better team than the Riders are. Our dbs squeeze some passes or don't take penalties and Reilly has nearly as bad a night last week as he did this week. Edmonton was smoke and mirrors and everyone knew that.

Loffler may not be quite the same as he was, but don't tell me receivers don't know he's there, I mean we see a lot of mid level drops by opposing teams and I for one choose to believe Loffler has put the fear of god into them.

No judgement on whether or not Hurl is playing well or not, but there is a clear case where some people around these parts treat him like a whipping boy. His flaws are inflated to ridiculous extremes and his positives diminished or just flat out ignored. It makes it impossible to take what some people say about the guy seriously.

Laughable to compare Jones to Matthews. Matthews was an all time epic spot picker, Jones not so much because the spot he picked was a mess and he`s got too big an ego to actually fix it the way it needs to be.
