Why not both? But seriously Jets, stay the **** away from Elliott, guy is useless and was propped up by a great D in St. Louis. Calgary was on their way to an embarrassment of a season with Elliott until Chad Johnson had one of his patented hot streaks and dragged them out of the basement. There is a reason that the Flames who have also been trying to solve their goal tending problems for a few years now didn't bother keeping the guy around. He'll have a few hot streaks (like he did for the Flames leading up to the playoffs) but he will also have his ice cold streaks (like he did for the Flames in the playoffs and to start the season) He is not the guy to solve anything for a team in the net.

probably would have been more swearing and insults if that were the case

Biggest Rivalry in the CFL: Regina Winnipeg
17to85 replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Don't give Jones too much credit, the Riders refuse to run the ball, they want to pass almost all the time. The book on Glenn is simple, pressure him and he goes away, so just get a push up front and it won't matter who they're lining up at receiver over there. -
It's pretty much mandatory anyway, preseason, regular season, playoffs you never want a loss to those assholes.
-
General rule of thumb in the CFL, first 2 weeks of the season are still glorified preseason.
-
From the very get go Ricky Ray has had about the nicest touch on the ball in the league. He can just drop it where ever he wants it to go, things fall apart for him like they do for most qbs when he's rushed and getting hit, if you got Ray on your team though build a line that can protect him above all else and he'll make his receivers look good just by dropping the ball right into their hands.
-
SJ Green has been doing that for years though, Arceneaux as well is allowed to do whatever he wants to dbs too. It's really simple, you're a big receiver? Then go ahead and do whatever the **** you want, it's OK.

Time to be a homer, Andrew Harris
-
Yeah but the officials are often watching different games too
-
Suitor spent a good part of the game explaining how it's totally legal for receivers to just push dbs away in order to catch the ball. I swear I don't know what that guy watches half the time but it's certainly not the same game I do.

People get the money from having bought houses years ago and having the equity from the prices sky rocketing. If you didn't have a house prior though good luck. My wife bought a small condo almost 6 years ago when she was living there and that thing is ridiculously priced considering it's size and it's gone up a bunch in the time since too.

I know, that .894 year was I believe the Eakins year where the defensive coverage was a mess, which further illustrates the point, goalies who don't get support from the D don't look good and good goalie play and good D play go hand in hand in todays NHL.
-
Looking at the depth charts, man if Ray stays healthy and they can give him some protection up front that could be a real sleeper team this year.
-
Oh absolutely, but a big part of his problem was getting absolutely hung out to dry in Edmonton too.
-
Look around the league, guy like Devan Dubnyk was **** behind a terrible D and he goes on to a team that knows how to play a sound defensive game and he's a vezina candidate. There's lots of goalies that can make saves these days, the key is getting a team in front of them that can avoid making the big mistakes.

Damning with faint praise.

Man that BC offensive line had some problems, lucky for them Jennings can throw it the length of the field on the run just with a flick of the wrist. But then the Esks caught them all napping by doing the same thing right back to them and just heaving it deep. Actually both teams showed a love of just going long, Matt Dunigan musta shed some tears watching it. I'd pitch it deep all the time too if I had big receivers who were allowed to just throw dbs out of the way all the time. Duke Williams I don't think caught a single pass without abusing the smaller dbs, and I'll be honest, they said the guy was 6'3 225 but man he looks bigger than that, just a horse. How can you cover a guy like that when he's allowed to be that phyiscal?
-
To be fair I only jumped on the band wagon cause making sure Rider fans know that they don't know what the **** they're talking about is just plain fun.
-
yeah but if it was over turned to be a fumble then it's not a dead play and because Montreal jumped on the ball immediately it would have been their recovery in the endzone, that's the whole point of over turning a play. Only way it would have been Sask ball at the 1 on an over turn is if the Montreal players hadn't played it like it was a fumble and got on it right away. Try and keep up when the CFL changes their rules.

Well I for one constantly complain about the bush league offside challenge the NHL implemented. They did it for the same reason the CFL did, knee jerk reaction to one very badly blown call (at least with PI challenges in the CFL) so it's stupid for the same reasons.
-
I actually enjoyed the first Transformers as a dumb blockbuster but after that it was just horrible. They took the worst parts of the first (of which there were many) and turned it up to 11.
-
But there is only one factor worth more than a win....
-
to be fair my proof reader is Chris Jones so you have to expect undisciplined posting that will draw infractions.
-
it's only gotten worse with PI being something you can challenge. PI is basically a judgement call a lot of the time and there is no consistency on the field or with reviews. It's making the game worse not better because it's making referees afraid to do their jobs properly.
