That's because Prometheus wasn't originally intended to tie into the Alien universe but they figured that they had to shoe horn it in some how, probably in an attempt to sell more tickets. As it stands though I don't think you have to put too much thought into the movie, it's an Aliens movie, just watch people be terrified of the monsters.

People have no patience to let draft picks try and develop at all. I kind of get that, but why all the rage at them? Sure it'd be nice to get guys who contribute right away but if they're OK letting him take a few years why be so openly hostile before he even gets a chance to show if that time is worth it or not?

And it's not even something that is a result of men being stronger or any of that if you ask me. To me the biggest difference is that the mens field is a deeper and tougher field to excel in so they have to be at that level to compete where as you can compete on the womens field at a lower level. Curling is one of those sports that really is all about the practise. The more you throw the more consistency you have and I just don't think there is that same level of commitment on the womens side that there is on the mens side and that really does come from teams like Kevin Martin being so dominant not too long ago. It forced everyone else to up their game to that kind of level. There hasn't been that force in the women's game. I mean Jones was pretty dominant for a while but even that team had a nasty habit of having a stretch during any given tournament where they didn't know what they were doing. Homan was pretty dominant for a while but they too have lost some of that consistency. It's just a different level of competition.

They've been in the national championships for ever already and it hasn't done anything. The good provinces are still the good provinces and the shitty ones still shitty. Better to showcase the best of the best cause watching teams get outclassed doesn't grow the game at all

Which is a good start, but we're still facing the problem of having a lot of awful teams from provinces with craptastic teams to send.

Any one can beat anyone but this Scotties field is absolutely awful outside of a couple teams. I swear to god the BC skip yesterday had a game where she was like 30% on hits! I have to wonder, how long do we continue with this kind of format with such an imbalance in teams and one of the top teams in the world sitting on the sidelines cause they had a bad weekend at provincials?

The sad fact is that Riderfans does have a large population so for people who are CFL fans and want to seek out other CFL discussion it's a natural stopping point, too many crazy people though who actually buy into the crap about the Riders being special little snowflakes.

Last year he tried to have Matt Walter and Curtis Steele as his running backs, I think he honestly envisions some sort of situation where he swaps in a canadian or american to give flexibility elsewhere. There is a difference between bringing a guy in at a backup salary to backup Harris as opposed to what the Riders have done and signed the guy expected him to start and paying him accordingly. You can see the difference right? And why one would naturally lead to statements such as over rated and over paid yes? Or is that beyond you?

I checked out the Conan reboot because I thought Momoa was phenomenal as Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones but God was that movie terrible. Not sure if he was saved in GoT by not speaking a real language and looking the part or Conan was just a giant mess all around
