The problem is, you're moving on from the only qb that has managed to win anything for that team in ages with no plan on how to replace him. The arrogance from Jones is staggering and it's going to bite him in the ass... again! Last year should have been a giant example of why you don't think you're smarter than anyone but nope, Jones and apparently the fans are doubling down on it this year.

anything can happen in the CFL, but it's not random, when you have a lunatic in charge who doesn't like having veteran qbs around it's pretty easy to guess what will happen, here's a hint, it won't be fun for you guys in riderville.

single handedly turned around 4 teams! -
yeah I know, but I put the actual picture from the quote

Sacks for a DT don't really tell the entire story though

I got no problems going into the year with Davis at 2, he's been around long enough that he should be able to get some playing time if need be, and if it turns out that he is needed and can't handle it then you can always make a panic move and get yourself a Kevin Glenn during the season.

used to be good not sure he is all that anymore.

That was the problem with that draft, all the best guys were going to the NFL so the Bombers took one that they felt wouldn't stick, he did stick despite most people's thoughts, c'est la vie.

No it's not, the Bombers want Nichols back and Nichols wants to be back, they're just hammering out a deal that works for both sides. What the Riders did was alienate their starting qb, who was a damned good one as the Riders record with and without him the past few seasons should indicate, and traded him away because they had no intention of even trying to get him back. That's a monumentally stupid move. You don't ditch a quality veteran qb when you got sweet **** all at the position, that's Mike Kelly levels of dumb. -
If he cares you mean.

Not to mention that as it became clear that Luke was a powerful Jedi in his own right the entire focus of Vader and the Emperor became either turning Luke to the darkside or killing him because they were that afraid of how he could **** them up otherwise. And really he is directly responsible for Vader and Palpatine dying because we saw that Luke himself had plenty of time to escape before the 2nd death star went kaboom so anyone who thinks Vader or the Emperor couldn't have got out is only lying to themselves.

ehhhh they all went and fought anyway so I see it more like there were some soft as baby sit types but the doers went and did what needed to be done.
-
It's not that they were confused and misinformed, they were angry and feeling abandoned, always a dangerous mix for voters cause they're likely in that situation to go and do something stupid.

Actually planning for 2017 started well before then if you want to get really into it.

Hamilton might make a lot of sense for Glenn seeing as the trouble they've had with Collaros being hurt. Gotta think they feel they need to make a splash in the playoffs sooner rather than later.

You know I had a massive dandelion infestation in my yard but I hired a company to take care of it and the things are all gone now. I might recommend you do something similar if the dandelions are bothering you that much.

It won't be his problem, he'll have a million people to blame it on.

The difference is that Star Wars has always been movie friendly where as Star Trek was an episodic TV show with a minimal budget so the focus of the show had to be different than the focus that a movie would take. That's why there's damned few actual good Star Trek movies period. Too hard to take what makes a show great and condense it into a movie format that everyone is going to want to watch. But I enjoyed Rogue One the only negative things I could talk about were minor quibbles. There was too much jumping around at the start, I didn't like Princess Leia's ship being at the battle like that at the end, you know small things, but overall quite enjoyable.

Because he's still a better writer than any of the newspaper folks with more insight into the game and what fans actually want to read about? Being negative about the team doesn't make someone more objective, it just makes them negative and right now there are several reporters in winnipeg who only care to talk an endless stream of **** about things. bitter old men upset that their medium is dying and they are irrelevant in the internet age.

Are the Blue Bombers the Rodney Dangerfield of the CFL?
17to85 replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
They hate us cause they ain't us. -
You of all people should appreciate how the media has to play nice with the local sports team.

and there is the problem with your entire argument. Development doesn't have to happen in a game situation. At some point yes players need that game experience but plenty of backups develop just fine without getting game time and then when they do get to play make the most of it. We as fans can't say **** about how much Davis has developed watching from the sidelines, but that's why we pay the coaches and managers big bucks.

Implying Willy was tossed away? Did they not return an all-star player and first round pick for him? Not really being tossed away
-
I don't think Glenn is a foregone conclusion. When asked about that Walters basically gave the "he wants more money than we have budgeted for the position" Honestly I think Davis is likely to be the backup going into the season. It's just silly to me to think that just because a 3rd stringer hasn't been in a position where he's had to start that he is suddenly not worth keeping around. QBs take time to ripen and you seem to want to move on from a guy they have invested time into right when he should potentially be starting to pay off.
