Trouba wants out (Trouba has signed)
17to85 replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
you missed how Nurse played more minutes than any rookie last year? (or he was for a time not sure how it all finished) It's not about Nurse not being able to make the Oilers, it's about the Oilers not wanting Nurse to make the lineup. Let's be honest here too, the only time Nurse had trouble was when everyone got hurt and he had to play top pairing minutes. That was rough on him but before that and after guys got healthy and his minutes dropped he was looking ******* great. I don't want to trade Nurse for Trouba at all because I don't want players with the attitude that Trouba has. Too good for Winnipeg he'd be too good for Edmonton too. -

so basically they are looking for a team to make a lateral trade... except the person the other team would be giving up wouldn't be a problem child with the trade request and quite likely has a better contract than Trouba is looking to get... seems like Trouba will either sit or the Jets will have to change what they expect to get in return. -

Klefbom alone is probably better than Trouba he just missed too much time being injured. So under rated. Rnh too. Don't want Trouba unless it's cheap anyway. Too much of an American -

Edmonton already got bent over a barrel and shown the 50 states to get a defenseman, they don't need to do it again. Best we can do is Yakupov and Reinhart. Maybe Brandon Davidson if you want a current top 4 guy. -

Hall was the price for a top pairing young D on a great contract a desperate team had to pay. Return for a disgruntled player with no contract asking for a trade and to be paid big money will be much much less -
Miller starting contract extension talks with Walters O'Shea

but they would have tightened up when the Bombers got within striking distance too. Football is a game of momentum and fighting to get it back is the key to winning. -
so instead of a versatile star rb we just make him a 10 yard possession receiver? Seems like a complete and total waste of talent.

I would have been worried if they'd rolled over and died yesterday but fighting back as they did I have no doubts they'll come back stronger. -
I can assure you I haven't lived in that area in years... seriously though very sad news.

no Harris is a good ******* running back that does so many things for the offense in the backfield. Just because stupid sexy flanders is a good injury replacement doesn't mean we cater to him over our star runningback.

Hamilton has some real problems. Their D used to be an absolute terror a year or two ago now they look like a bunch of ***** cats. What happened? They get figured out?
-
That's what makes the last second loss difficult, they were so close to shoving it back in his face and they let it slip away. Best way to get people to stop being cocky pricks is make them eat their words.

The D was ineffective getting pressure on Mitchell and when they did bring people the coverage was too loose and he had easy completions. Saw it in the first game in Calgary too, too much space in the middle of the field allowing easy first downs. The only time the D was effective was when they got good and pissed off and started laying the wood on the guys catching the ball. Letting the Stamps easily move into field goal range with 27 seconds left is just unacceptable. Shame on the Lapo offense as well taking until half time to adjust to things that would actually work. Flanders and the run game is good but of course they waited until being down by 24 to use it.

Yeah I bet it does, you sure you don't want to add McDavid in there just to sweeten the pot a little bit? Maybe add Draisaitl too just to make sure it goes through? -
yeah since the last ice age is a bit cherry picking too. That's really not a long time geologically speaking.

but they have been getting reviews wrong every year since they started... it's a lot easier for me to accept human error when there is no review so for that reason just get rid of it and we'll all live with the breaks evening out over the course of a season. Plus then we wouldn't get refs afraid to throw a flag or being overzealous throwing flags because they know that the replay official will do their job for them.
-
2006 indeed, it was the worst experience I have ever had at a football game. Weather was cold and snowing and horrible and the Bombers were even worse.
-
Just scrap the entire review process already. Been a **** show from the day they implemented it and all their constant tweaks to try and fix it have only made it worse.

**** that ****, I don't want to sit in the cold assed rain in Calgary, and in September it's just as likely to be snow as it is rain. Give me a sunny fall afternoon and may the better team win.

That's me, and you just know it's true.

Just for the record, you don't need a PhD to be a scientist... I am a scientist and I only have a bachelors. Hell I know people who do research too without a PhD and only a masters. Scientist is really just a catch all term for people who science. Now experts are probably all going to have doctorates but then again you can have a PhD in something unrelated and it doesn't make you an expert on a different subject. People need to stop looking simply at the what kind of education or background someone has and simply try and understand the topics and decide if what someone is saying makes sense or not. Too much appealing to authority going on. There are unfortunately a lot of people in this world who don't have the kind of mindset that allows them to form their own opinions based on evidence and need to be told what to think by "experts"
