Bombers vs Argos Aug 12 Depth Charts ETC
17to85 replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I might have been drinking but I am certain that Thomas has gone in on the OL this season. -
You know until this year the thing that crippled the team was having to go to the depth and the depth not being able to play, this year we actually have guys coming off the bench into the game doing well. THAT is what people talk about when they say the roster is better. We now have some depth to get through injuries and actually push starters (possibly even out of the lineup) this is the first time since Walters has been here we can actually say that.
-
Here is a big one... This is the first year the bombers have had any kind of depth at qb. Not the only position with much better depth either

It's also ******* true.

Ho hum, they'll pay the fine and then keep on keeping on cause they don't care about spending their way out of problems. Should have came down with a punishment that actually made them stand up and take notice that they can't keep flaunting the rules like this. -
Because laughing at the Riders is always welcome.

That he's above the law. This is not a new thing for him either. Remember how he left Calgary for Toronto? That broke the rules too, then there was his departure to Saskatchewan which was again shady as ****. Guy thinks he doesn't have to follow the same rules as everyone else and I hope beyond hope that the CFL finally nails him to the wall for being an absolute **** head but I am not hopeful. The league can't even suspend players never mind disciplining a GM. -
yo we heard you like trailers so here's a trailer for a trailer

I sincerely hope that you are right. I want to see the league come down hard on this just to set an example. Jones has taken the arrogance to a whole new level and he needs to be slapped back to reality. -

The sad part is the CFL probably doesn't have the means to do anything meaningful about this. They'll just hand down a paltry fine and the Riders will say "Hey we paid the price" and carry on being the **** heads they are. Meanwhile changes will come and no one will have any leeway in the future. Thanks for ruining it for the rest of the league assholes. AND YOU'RE STILL A TERRIBLE TEAM! That's the most embarrassing part of all this. -

It's an interesting point, what recourse does the CFL have? The Riders have already shown they don't care and will happily pay fines to cheat, can the CFL escalate the punishment? Can they suspend Jones and make him stay away from the team on game day? Can they go further and forfeit games for them? That would get more attention than simply letting the Riders spend their way out of their issues. -
You would be wrong. I have driven in heavy traffic in Winnipeg and it's a joke compared to Calgary and I am sure Toronto is even worse than that. Winnipeg is still a small city and even if you're in bumper to bumper traffic you don't have the distance to travel. the GTA is a ******* huge area with a huge population and you think Winnipeg traffic is going to compare to that in any way shape or form? Come on now.

Time for the CFL to step up and slap Jones on the pecker again. -
but that's Burris though isn't it? All smiles and jokes as long as the panel is hanging off his nuts but the second anyone says anything bad about him he's got the pouty lip going full on and he's whining about being disrespected.
-
Yeah a lot of people knew that there was a Burris tantrum incoming after Ottawa signed Harris, here he is being the predictable whiny ***** that he is.
-
Doug Brown has very specific things he likes from a football team. If he doesn't see them he tells people about it, if he sees them then he's happy.
-
Yeah they want to win and to win you gotta beat the best teams so doesn't really matter when you play them. I think they're all tough matchups once you move to eliminations anyway so send a message beating the Germans and go from there.
-
but it is an analogy that falls flat. If you were comparing officers to coaches then yes I'd buy it. When a team stops listening to a coach that coach is finished, but players and other players, those fences get mended quickly when the performance is there. QB might be a leader on the field but he's still just one of a dozen players on the field.
-
Oh that's easy to get back. Make plays and that comes back right away. The hard part is for Willy to regain confidence in the team cause that's the biggest problem with him right now. He doesn't trust them to help him out. But that's something else that can come back I think. Given the good things that have happened the last 2 games it brings up everyones confidence level. A rising tide floats all ships.
-
no don't worry, you making a mistake is nothing new or exciting to warrant that so I wouldn't worry.
-
Yeah why not Messam
-
Really isn't a surprise, the mens athletes have been lacking compared to the ladies in summer sports for a long time.
-
Oh I hope he does. Henry Burris you are a whiny *****.
-
If Willy was still playing no one would be concerned with the teams cap situation so why are we getting so many panties in a bunch now? The cap savings ain't significant enough at this point in the season to sabotage depth at the most important position on the team. This is a discussion to re-visit in the offseason not in the middle of the season while the team is competing for a playoff spot.
