  1. I feel you're under rating all 3 guys because of a lacking stat sheet. World beaters? No, but you can do a lot worse (and we have)
  2. Well what did you expect from garbutt and fox when they spent most of the year on the IR? Both are at worst solid contributors... Now Cole as well was injured a bunch bt dude makes plays on teams and where ever they line him up on defense. At worst all are well worth a chance to compete in camp and if they play it's not a bad thing.
  3. Qb forcing the ball to his security blanket and defence teeing off. Plain and simple.
  4. Can you blame them? Toronto sucks.
  5. Jackson Jeffcoat probably counts. They retained him forever. Nichols I'll throw in as well.... when you get into the niche of impactful, home grown not born within a stone's throw then you're shrinking the pool of available options. Overall I'd say their ability to retain players is fine... but we're probably in a point where some turnover needs to happen. Now let's all argue about which turnover.
  6. Well that's one opinion....
  7. Sergio was like the first guy to re-sign no?
  8. Well it is true that with mbb posters the cuts would be the easiest part of the job
  9. Well Brady gonna get like 90% of the touches...
  10. No need to be rash. Negativity for the sake of negativity. There's nothing to base this on
  11. Sucks to lose Wolitarsky. Love that guy. However they likely see Clercius as having huge upside (he does imo) so are moving on. I'd divorce this decision from anything related to Thomas and just call it what it is.
  12. Yep Bighill was a HUGE part of this team getting over the hump... but now he's over the hill and everyone needs to move on. Father time is undefeated.
  13. I believe Jake himself has said "you can't pull fat"
  14. “I realized when I got hurt it’s a real possibility that a club who’s already looking at ways to probably redo their roster, with heavy veterans, this is an easy one for them,” he said. “Whether I think or whether other people think it’s a right decision or not. It’s an easy one to point at and say, ‘It’s probably time.’ “So I understand that from a business stance. I prepared myself for it.” From the winnipeg sun. Doesn't sound like there's hard feelings. Phones do work both ways and bighill got his answer. He also comes across as one of those guys completely unwilling to accept that his time has passed.
  15. So like I said, trust Kyle Walters.
  16. Only friesen can be that obtuse.
  17. Sure, but it also seems to me if you are bringing more guys in to block you're just dragging more defenders in to rush and clog up the middle which makes it harder on the run game too. Just my thoughts anyway, more targets spreads things out more gives some more space. I might be out to lunch just a feeling I have. Our OL isn't good enough anymore to just bully the LOS like that.
  18. And honestly I think our insistence on using 6 or 7 blockers alllllll the time hurts more than it helps. Collaros is never going to be a guy who gets the ball out quick. He will buy time with his eyes downfield... so give him more targets.
  19. He's tall! Good enough for NFL scouts I guess.
  20. I don't think we're so bad at guard to be honest.... but maybe we need to find a Benedict ibisi to play centre...
  21. Last 3 years boils down to the offense, which is littered with highly paid stars did not do enough, not nearly enough. At least we know we will get a fresh perspective on it from the coaching this season so we shall see what happens. Honestly for me it still comes down to I'd have moved on from collaros before last season and gone with Brown.
  22. Except collaros has shown himself to be a guy who has his favoured crutches... in an ideal world sure what you say is true... but the world ain't ideal.
  23. If that were totally true qbs wouldn't get paid so damned much in comparison to the rest of the league. Teams with bad qbs never amount to much regardless of how good the rest of the roster is.
