  1. All "The peanut gallery" has ever said is wait before passing judgement. And i think we need to remember the situation when waggoner was taken. We didn't know about khalil bass at the time, ian wild was still in the nfl and we were looking at a canadian in a linebacker spot. All that in mind is taking a linebacker really a bad play? Sure things have changed but not like he isn't contributing, he plays special teams. We can critisize walters for a lot of picks but I don't think this is really one to be too down on yet.
  2. Actually not that long. They busted the slump last game of the year season before last. Marvelous Marve in the snow
  3. Receivers have to read it too and react accordingly. Or do you think receivers run only one route no matter what? Options exist for them on every play and it requires both to read and react the same way.
  4. And that is all I am saying. Not always on the qb
  5. The simple fact is that if Willy had connected on a bunch of those deep throws the Als would have had to back off. You beat the blitz with execution and it simply wasn't there last friday
  6. What was the check off? We're they in position. For it? If we got a bunch of new receivers isn't it possible they didn't read the play right as well?
  7. I honestly think if the bombers O had done anything pouty Glenn would have shown up. He got hit hard a few time, threw a pick, but the bombers kept giving him chances to get back at it
  8. Every single one we have hired has said that though.
  9. So don't grasp the nuances of how clocks work in the cfl? Time doesn't start until the refs blow it in regardless of out of bounds or not
  10. Bullshit. Willy looked better to end his game than Jennings, but BC got the kick return to and a ton of misses from the Calgary kicker and win so it means he did play well? Sorry doesn't work like that. The run game sealed it for BC. Jennings was just chucking prayers all night. Brutal performance and if he did that as a bomber we would run him out of town
  11. Could be worse. At least Willy didn't look as bad as Jennings
  12. Unless the play already called accounted for it. Bad execution happens even with a correct play call
  13. That's right. Let them build a base before we turf everyone again. Look at the mess we got into with the quick firings from Raman to Kelly to mack to Walters.
  14. Oh you sweet summer child.... bombers in Alberta is pain and misery
  15. How many coordinators? How many qbs? How many receivers? Still a ton of changes. I'm OK giving Walters and O'Shea 5 or6 years just for the sake of stability. Been too much impatience the last two decades we need stability even if it's not the best results
  16. May have to rebuild his confidence but it can be done. Especially if Harris brings his A game
  17. I think people are sleeping on Montreal. They have great receivers and a good veteran qb and good defence... they're not the riders here. There are good pieces on that team.
  18. But new OC, new receivers, give them time. We could just fire everyone and start over cause that's worked out so well the last 25 years
  19. But most over throws were to Smith who us new. Timing needs work. Give him time for that. He did miss a ton of time last year. Is rust really unexpected?
  20. But he has had all his receivers and rbs changing yearly, new ocs new ols etc. That does make an impact. I will give him more time before determining if he's going to be OK. Losing sucks but we do need patience.
  21. I don't even get too mad at this game. It was mostly a lack of execution that was the issue. Willy was bad. Flat out missed too many throws. He and Smith had no timing. Ol got owned too many times but did improve I thought. It'll improve cause Willy isn't usually that inaccurate. I never worry about his decision making, once the accuracy comes it'll be fine. Same old lapo though. either short or long and nothing between.
  22. Doesn't even have to be a sack. Picks rattle him too
  23. It's the CFL, these days the distinction between WR and SB is pretty minimal because teams are always moving guys around trying to find favourable matchups. Dressler will see passes inside don't worry.
  24. yeah I was looking at the online store the other day and man this poor hurtin albertan wishes he had some more income right about now cause there's a lot I could buy.
