He was on pace for 1100 yards basically in each season he was here.... that is good production when healthy. The entire team was allergic to the endzone, that's why we lost so many games so why get down on just moore for low td stats? That was a team wide problem but Moore was reliable in getting this team yards and helping at least move down the field.

That depends on who you listen to. Some people say the Oilers didn't want to give him up, some people say there was a lot of talk about it but the Preds preferred the taller heavier player. The truth likely lies somewhere in the middle. I'd suspect that it wasn't a 1 for 1 swap being talked about between Nashville and Edmonton because the Oilers really are in no position to be trading a guy like RNH for potential on defense. They really lack depth that I don't think people realize. Sure they might appear to have depth at C when everyone is healthy, but McDavid still isn't back yet and that leaves them with Draisaitl and then someone like Letestu playing 2C because of an injury. Not a good situation. The Oilers really do lack everything other than their first round guys so to part with one they need to win the trade, they don't have depth anywhere to move a piece for a need because it just leaves more holes.

Let's be honest here, this team could use a veteran presence on the offense pretty badly. Potential is all well and good but you need someone who can show the youngsters how to be a pro. You think it's a coincidence that Terrence Edwards turned into a good one? He learned from Stegall what it took.

If nothing else Marvel has done a great job casting people so I'd say give the kid a chance and we might have a good spiderman.

Sarcasm? Friend or family of Adams? Adams himself? Delusional?? Need to know which it is so I can respond accordingly. Adams was not nearly good enough last year.

Let someone else sign moore and tie up money there so there's less competition when FA day hits.
-
Well he's going to be a free agent in about a months time so what does it matter if it's true or not?
-
Durant has always been a winner though. Some qbs are just that way regardless of the stats. I hate to say it because he's a shithead rider but Durant has a history of winning games in this league.
-
does that 40k make a difference? We knew Dressler was being paid a crap load of money because everyone tried to sign him and there was a very tight bidding war to sign him. Just the typical rider fan attitude, you stop wearing the green you're over paid or not that good blah blah blah.
-
Bet you weren't so down on Taman giving out those contracts at the time though. This is why everyone mocks Rider fans, biggest hypocrites going. Taman signs Chick and Dressler "AMAZING!" New GM cuts them "Wow Taman you dolt, why give out such big contracts?"
-
Especially if Moore isn't coming back.
-
God damned good thing you edited that....
-
Can Ottawa afford them? They got more than a few guys set to earn more money and they've already had to ship one out.
-
It's nice to dream, but do you really expect these guys to take a hair cut? Moore will be in demand and he'll get paid big money, Denmark is already making big money and Carter will have approximately 9 teams make inquiries about him and he'll get a big pay day as a result of the interest.

Same Old, Same Old or Unique Free Agency

Walters has always played the FA game, i don't seem him changing now -
Better than rise of an empire... well that's a low bar... The only two things worth seeing in rise of an empire belong to Eva Green and you can see those in just about every movie she does.
-
That might be cost prohibitive.

With the Watchmen I think you really have to appreciate the graphic novel to enjoy the movie. I think they really made a mistake in the marketing of that movie making it seem like a superhero action film. It is nothing of the sort and it's long and dry. 300 I did enjoy but that's because it's nothing but simple basic blood and guts and crazy visuals. Safe to say I didn't get Sucker Punch, no idea what the **** that was supposed to be and Man of Steel to me was just crap. Trying to make Superman dark and gritty is just nonsense. He's supposed to be a boy scout and a symbol for hope, if you can't make an interesting movie with that idea then you're not trying hard enough. They managed fine with Captain America who is a similar kind of boy scout hero.

I know, lots of good performances, Tommy Lee Jones was great, Hayley Atwell was great, Chris Evans has always been solid, but that rushed montage I dunno.... I also felt that Hugo Weaving kind of mailed it in so I dunno.
-
I don't like endzone seats personally, would rather be higher up and along the sidelines. I think the pricing of the endzones falls into the line of thinking that closer to the field is always better so it's more expensive.

I always have the first captain america a bit lower for one reason really... I don't like how they turned Cap wins the war into a montage.

I'm spiteful too, does that make anything I said incorrect?

Rumour: Wylie to join Browns New HC Hue Jackson as Oline Coach
17to85 replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Wylie has a long long track record, if he couldn't get results in Winnipeg it's because either the OC didn't allow the OL to shine or the talent simply wasn't there. -
Yeah Spiderman 2 was great, the problem with Spiderman 3 is that Raimi wanted to use Sandman as the villian but Sony insisted that Venom be added because he was popular and Raimi didn't like the character and the result is what we got. Episode 4 was directed by Lucas but a lot of other people had input, Empire and return of the Jedi had different directors though, probably different writers too. I believe the story is that Lucas wife at the time did a lot of the editing that made the first Star Wars as good as it was. Based on his track record I think it is quite safe to say that George Lucas is a good idea man but putting the ideas together is not his strong suit. Nothing wrong with that, there is plenty of money and success in doing that.
