Marvel never did any of the spiderman movies though, they sold the rights to Sony before they started making movies themselves. X-Men too is not under the Marvel brand, it's owned by Fox. Think Fox has fantastic 4 as well which is a big reason why they can't make a movie about them worth a damn. That's kind of the beauty of what they've done, they've basically made all the money in the world just using their B listers.

splitting hairs, not letting you get away with wild exaggerations... I like the 2nd one better.
-
Well Iron Man 2 gets a bad rap but it's not nearly as good as the original.............
-
I don't believe the first Avengers is 2nd best either.... I got the first Iron Man right up there though....

You are blowing it out of proportion. All people said was we had a good situation at backup and maybe we could trade someone for something useful. Nothing more than that really. Maybe one lunatic but it was definitely not a lot of people freaking out about anything, except for the couple Marve fanbois convinced he was the next great thing.

Nonsense. Even on tv you can tell that the stadium in Winnipeg is poised to explode if the team ever gives them anything to cheer about. Bombers pick up some wins and play an exciting brand of football the passion will ignite instantly because the fans are there and they are passionate. You are too much of a bitter old man but most people aren't so bitter.

With Jaime Lannister in a big role it's gotta be good right? And Gerard Butler with the thich Scottish accent coming through, the only way this movie isn't worth a watch is if they take themselves seriously.

Well Winter Soldier is the best Marvel movie, the first Captain America while good isn't 2nd best. Civil War though has the potential to be right up there though. Big fan of everything about Winter Soldier and the fact that it's the same directors I have high hopes for that movie.

The right price of course being whatever it takes. Since Walters can't recruit receivers for **** might as well blow the bank on free agents.
-
Ehhh most of the cost the city would have to put up is the land... which is a **** hole right now anyway.
-
Good players are good players, Canadians these days can play anywhere (except qb) so it doesn't really matter where you put them. Get the best ones possible and figure the rest out later.

If Waggoner was in the draft he'd have been a first rounder and same deal with Poblah, if Poblah had been in the draft when the Bombers used a supplemental pick on him he may well have gone #1 over all. Here's what people forget, not every draft pick is a home run. Sometimes prospects just don't pan out as hoped.

The prequels fail on technical movie making criteria and their story is not strong enough. I can watch them and even enjoyed them for what they were... but they're not good movies. George Lucas plain and simply is an idea man but as a director and writer he needs other people to do the work for him. That's where the prequels fell short. No one was going to say no to the guy who made all the money by creating Star Wars.

You think Calgary regrets trading Doug Brown to Winnipeg back in the day? That's what can happen if you trade these guys prematurely and for a poor return. Or maybe it's an idonije type situation where you never see them, but so what? It's an asset that should be managed like any other asset.
-
only if the return is worth your time, otherwise what's the harm in waiting for the guy to show up?
-
And I could see Toews being good 3 on 3, but Kane and a guy like Hossa and defencemen like Keith seem like they're tailor made for it too. It's all about possession and Chicago has built their whole game around possession. I dunno I just think that 3 on 3 is pretty easy for any one skilled individual to be good at. Toews is good in OT? I have no doubts about that, I also have no doubts that a guy as big and fast as Wheeler is good in OT too.
-
Is this based on anything tangible or just because you're a massive Toews fan? I ain't saying one way or the other just asking for reasoning behind this assertation. For example someone like little ***** gaudreau you can easily point to the fLames ot record and amount of points gaudreau gets there but has toews done anything extrodinary in ot so far?
-
So just decided not to follow the conversation? Noeller was arguing Toews over Wheeler on the basis that points aren't all that matters, I am disagreeing and saying that in an all star game might as well just base it on points therefore Wheeler should be there over Toews.
-
yeah a first and a prospect is pretty much the standard, but there's a difference between a B prospect and Drouin. For Drouin think about what it would take for you to trade Ehlers cause they're pretty similar players. Would you give up Ehlers and a first round pick for a free agent defenceman who wants a long and big contract when he's on the wrong side of 30?
-
y'all are over rating Jennings for a small sample size. Remember when Cato was getting the same treatment? Young qbs need more time to accurately judge them. Yeah he had an impressive run, will it last or was it catching people unawares?
-
For an allstar game? What other criteria would you propose to use? Not going to see any kind of two way play in the allstar game.
-
Oh my you really are over rating what a free agent will get.
-
As far as backup qbs go Nichols is pretty good. I wouldn't want to rely on him every week to be the starter, but he's experienced and has some ability to move the ball. That's pretty much the best you hope for in a backup qb. The only time you see a better situation is when a younger player is coming in and pushing the established veteran starter. This is the best quarterbacking situation the Bombers have had going into a season since probably Khari Jones and Kevin Glenn were both here.

Yeah Roberts I think could produce with any kind of offensive line in front of him. He was so quick to get to his top speed and had such great direction changes he could find openings on his own, but in addition to that he never seemed to go down on first contact. Always able to get by at least the first guy and improvise after that.
