  1. I believe the bolded is the part you are not keeping in mind here. Nichols was certainly not the same guy the year after he came back from that injury
  2. It's not about his biases or just general being shitty at his job that get the ire of other media members and cause them to call him out, it's when he questions the credibility of other people that gets them pissed off at him. He basically has the gall to tell other respected media people that they are hacks and are flat out making up reports. Damn right they're going to fire back at him for accusations like that.
  3. That really is the biggest difference lately. The D was really bad to start the season but they're tightened things up so much it's making it easier on the offense. Shorter fields, lots of turnovers, that's how you win games. Getting the ball back to your offense repeatedly.
  4. He seems like a guy that Walters and co. fell in love with early and have waited around a long time to get him onto the team so he will get all the chances he can handle to be the player they believe he can be.
  5. Matty knows that if it were him he's just want to play some huck it! chuck it! football! and put the ball as far down the field as he can and get a bunch of fast guys to run under it.
  6. Oh please it's the negative people who are quickest to insult people for the great crime of not being part of their lynch mob. Maybe it's not really a personal insult and just people saying that the emotional and irrational responses are stupid and those types of people getting butt hurt for being called out on it.
  7. 4 times you point out that you aren't a big fan and you wonder why you thought that the concert wasn't that great? I mean I think we've nailed down the problem here already. Gord Downie has never had the best vocals and yeah it was a bit rough on Saturday but come on, the guy got a terminal brain cancer diagnosis, just to be up there is enough never mind all the emotions he was surely going through. As a bit of a fan I enjoyed it. I could have sat and watched them play their entire discography all night and still want more. Great send off to a great Canadian band, and good on the CBC for showing the entire thing without cutting away to a commercial once.
  8. Right did get schooled on the big TD let's not forget. Not like he was flawless.
  9. Allegedly!
  10. He's in the toughest spot in the secondary so naturally he's being "picked on" He is the veteran of the group right now he's getting the hardest work load.
  11. Roberts, the answer is roberts. Freddy has been better flat out.
  12. As we have seen this season trying to force the ratio on the OL is bad news. I think we have enough depth on the rest of the roster that we should use as many americans as it takes on the OL because we've seen that trying to use inadequate canadians just gets the qbs and the offense as a by product killed.
  13. You are missing the point, all I am arguing is your claim of being objective. You clearly are not, almost no one is really objective here. Just accept that you're a negative person and that you are once again arguing a losing cause and we can go back to debating whether or not this team is for real. I don't care if you're a negative person, all I care about is the argument itself.
  14. It is using things from the past to influence your current perception, ie. not objectivity but an opinion influenced by bias. You know if you just accept that you're negative about the team consistently this whole argument will be put to bed. No one cares and everyone knows it so why you gotta fight the truth so hard?
  15. No that is using past poor results to justify a negative view point. Thus proving exactly what I am saying.
  16. You are so blind you actually think you are objective, that's why you don't realize you're just being negative. As I said, the number of people around here who are truly objective on any fan site is so small. Everyone has their own biases and their own slant on things.
  17. It's because you really don't look at both sides of the coin. You focus on the negative as much as others only focus on the positive. You are not objective, you are negative that is backed up by your posting history. There are very very few people round these parts who are actually objective, everyone has their own slant one way or the other and there are degrees of it, but you sir are a negative slanted person.
  18. Some people are just negative. But here's the thing, the Bombers defense has ramped it up lately. The secondary is playing better compared to early in the year, the DL is getting a lot more pressure, the LBs have been pretty solid the whole way through but the entire D is bringing some pressure to opposing offenses and so far they're forcing mistakes out of them and that makes it a lot easier on everyone. Then you couple that with the offense being able to capitalize on that and boom, 3 straight wins. Doesn't matter who was in the lineup for the other team, you can only play the team that lines up against you and last 3 weeks it's been passing grades for the Bombers all around.
  19. Question, how come last week Noeller and I last week were both listed as having 3 strikes and we both took Messam and now I got 4 and he's got 3? If I'm going down I'm taking him to hell with me. Anyway this week I'm taking Adarius Bowman.
  20. CBC was showing some interviews that Bolt did with some other networks not being happy that he had to work harder in a semi final, but Donovan Bailey says it's just the competitive streak of each guy. De Grasse wants to win so he's trying to send a message and Bolt being older and coming in after the hamstring injury doesn't like being pushed. I think bottom line they do get along just fine but it's still competition and you still gotta do what you gotta do to take that edge into the final because everyone wants to win.
  21. That little finger wag is just great, he's telling him, you cheeky bugger, you're not beating me even in the semi final.
  22. You know I would never hire Chris Jones no matter how good he is at his job. You can't trust the guy. He has bailed for bigger and better things every step of the way often in messy and shady ways. That's just a bad situation from my standpoint. What if things take too long in Saskatchewan and he feels the heat but say Montreal comes calling, does he up and bail for that?
  23. You are never as good as you think during win streaks and never as bad as you think during losing streaks... so where does that put the Bombers? Probably right around .500 actually. I still say they're a team that has their performance revolve around momentum. When they have it it's all fun and games but when they lose it they struggle to get it back. We'll win some fun games like we have lately and lose some ugly games like they did first game vs. the stamps.
  24. You're only as strong as your weakest link so all of a sudden some of the weaker parts of the OL got a lot stronger and the group looks a lot better. Nice to see.
