You really do make a ton of excuses for guys you like... wasn't a poor throw or triple coverage when Lawler stepped out of bounds early on... now credit to him he was wide open in the endzone when Wilson under threw the ball but still. Lawler wasn't good enough and it's ok to say that. We can say he sucked while still believing he's a very good player. Too much drama here. Offense sucked last night. Didn't make the plays they had opportunities to make. It happens. Make appropriate changes in the offseason and carry on.

No coach is going to sit Zach in that situation... but it needed to be done regardless. Would Wilson manage the game and win? I don't know... but there was no doubt when I saw collaros pulling on that glove I knew the ints were coming. Why wouldn't he? He already walked away from some vets last offseason.

He was fine until a freak incident cut his hand open. Receivers let him down bigtime in this one and the he couldn't hold a ball to throw. Coaches needed to sit him at that point because he was too injured to play. Well good thing we have a gm who can take some decisions out of osheas hands.

They still won the west and made a 5th straight Grey cup... they still had a top defense throughout the year and even in this game... it's not as dire as all that, some tweaks needed. Move on from some older bodies and bring in some good replacements and you're still a contender.

And where's adams now? No we lost some key guys to injury and wheatfall hasn't been able to adjust to being a pro. Clutch guys like wolitarsky and Schoen would be difference makers and 100% if the choice is between Lawler and Schoen I'm sticking with Schoen and I'd have said the same thing after the west final. People are going to great lengths to find reasons for this loss... it's pretty simple though. Execution was awful on the bombers part offensively, particularly the receivers.

Lawler has gone mia a bunch this season and schoens thing is crisp routes and great hands. Would have 100% made a difference and so would wolitarsky. Dude makes clutch catches. That's hat we needed and we didn't get. Instead we got lackadaisical Lawler, soft demski and might as well have not even been their wheatfall.

Have no patience for receivers who don't do their #1 job which is catching the ball. Argos receivers got popped too, they hung on and got first downs.

We spent a **** ton of money on offense and they were wildly inconsistent all season long. Defense was fine, there's some tweaks to see on STs but it's the offense that needs to be better for what they earning.

Go nuts. At his price tag Demski is at the point of diminishing returns. Wolitarksy wouldn't have gassed multiple first down catches like that.

Collaros never should have gone back in when he couldn't throw without a glove. It changes how the ball comes out and it's not like they were lighting it up prior. Honestly this one is all receivers to me. Lawler mia. Lazy on the pass he stepped out on. Easily could have kept in bounds with some effort. Demski couldn't catch a cold until garbage time... wheatfall was worse than usless and I believe with some effort he could have prevented the first int except he was just waiting for the ball. I guess I can't complain about Wilson but geeze... that's it. And some people think we can move on from Schoen. Get outta here with that. I don't blame the game plan, I don't blame Zach, he got 0 help from his receivers.

So here's why Ford is unlikely... if the Bombers win odds are it's because the offense has a good night, and if the offense has a good night at least one of Oliveira or demski probably has a good night and gets the award. Ford would need at least a pick 6.... but teams won't throw on him like that. They'll do what the riders did and throw on Holm.

It's the end of the cfl season.... so let's go out on the highest note. Offseasons are way better when you win rather than lose.

I suspect with Thomas and schmekel locked into one dt spot and woods the other adams fell in that wasteland or not really a de not really a nose tackle and they just didn't feel he fit the way they built the roster.

That spot on 3rd and 1 at the end of the game was dodgy too IMO. Bottom line both games vs. The argos were close and a few little things here and there are ultimately the difference.
