Anyone who thought Thomas wasn't going to be in the plans was only fooling themselves. The second he was brought back he was in the plans. I actually think this year there has been a lot of the moving on and won't be as bad as last year.

I doubt they'd do that. Especially if he was looking to be ahead on the depth chart during practice. Going in 3rd in the game isn't any indication either, I seem to recall people saying they do that to see how a guy does potentially in a tight game situation. To me the question now is whether they keep a qb on the PR or not.

Yeah given that some linebackers showed well in preseason one I'd bet Cole is Sam and we get wilson/whoever at the other spot.

Which was where this whole mess started last year. They had options to use more DL and they didn't and the team suffered as a result. 90% of the roster management angst goes back to this. You can debate it, but it's wrong... I agree he played well and showed a hell of a lot more than last year... but the most impactful DL? No I give that honour to Garbutt.

Mullinder adds absolutely nothing to the broadcast... literally only there to verbally fellate the rider players. There's no insight just so and so having a great camp, a player that I actually really like, great call by coach!

Yeah with him it wasn't the stats that caught my eye, he just seemed to always be in the mix. I was sold based on his one game last year but this just further cemented it.

#2 I think was the best returner to my eye (think that was it, hard to tell based on rider bullshit broadcasting) Linebackers #55 and 00 stood out to me a d I noticed garbut a lot but really I think every DE made some plays. Really impressed compared to last seasons preseason where no-one really stood out. Offense what can you say, Barriere looked like an over his head rookie. Might be worth some time on a pr but he wasn't ready, Wilson was more ready but collaros and streveler will carry the load just fine. Ol too hard for me to say but they seemed fine early and more confusion happens later with more subs, go figure. Receivers hard to tell given the qbing was so awful but not augustine Mitchell had some good grabs and my christ is clercius a big target. Man oh man I like already.

The great irony is the people who get slammed for talking about MOS' faults have all said there's no coach they'd rather have... people just don't like hearing about a legend like that's issues, but roster management has been a thing with oshea since day 1.

I will give more in depth thoughts going forward but it was real nice to see the first D playing a LOT mote physical again. They will get back to grinding teams down. Riders won but that was nothing for them the be proud of. Bombers were looking for certain things and I think they saw them.... someone let barriere know there's an extra guy in the cfl.

So Gauthier could be the day 1 starter to give the others a chance to get more familiar. Don't see them doing it permanently for the year though. First 2 weeks of the season are basically just preseason games that count.

It's oshea, vets don't need practise and he'll never tell if it's anything major anyway.

Bighill is an absolute legend and was a huge part of this teams ascension.... but when 100% healthy he is just good enough. If he is at all dinged (which he seems to have been for the last couple seasons) he isn't able to play at the necessary level. Father time is undefeated.

Cutting a guy without the ability to read and understand fastest cfl combine 40 yard time vs. Any other combine probably a good decision by the Bombers.
