FNF - Montreal @ Ottawa / Sask. @ Edmonton

Rookie qb problems. There were a lot of people here tried to tell the rider fans that this would happen, teams would be able to shut down the running game and the passing game wouldn't be able to make them change that strategy but nope they wouldn't listen. -

but I'm confused, we were assured that Sunseri was better than Willy and the Riders would be fine with him! afterall, he was great last week! -

Esks loss helps the Bombers more, but Riders getting spanked provides tears from rider fans which is always fun. Honestly I think the focus for the Bombers should be BC anyway so this game doesn't really matter too much. -

Every time Glen Suitor makes excuses by saying the Riders haven't had many possessions I want to kick a puppy. They haven't had many opportunities cause he can't get first downs when he does have the ball dumbass! -

They're not even making him work for those rushing yards. The great irony here is that an Esks loss helps the Bombers a lot more. -

Safe to say the Esks are fired up for this one. That's an impressive stop on 3rd down, just stuffed the push. -
Parks and Rec is to me a show that's a lot like Arrested Development in that the cast looks pretty good but the show I just don't find funny.

Didn't you hear? He's getting the start on Saturday Night and the game is LIVE on tsn...

Ill go one better. They should never let Willy play again. Thats the only way to ensure our starter never gets hurt. Come on... obviously his injury is not something that can be aggravated by playing. The way I heard it explained, its all about pain management and Willy is able to play through the pain due to guts and, presumably, injections. Hey if the safest way to have sex is abstinence the safest way to play football is not play football. Even abstinence is not 100% safe. Apparently there is a credibly reported case where pregnancy occurred without sex. yeah but I don't think many people believe that story......

This game is as ugly as a whores ass that's for sure. The sad part is there could be even more turnovers than there have already been. -

no touchdowns either. Man that team keeps finding new and interesting ways to not make plays. -
Not all of us are that old, cut us some slack.

She is very over rated as a writer too. SNL improved greatly after she left. I will concede that different people find different things funny, but Fey is more annoying to me than funny.

Scheifele being a #1 defenceman? typo, meant centre obviously Isn't that more on the GM than the coach? yes, but that comment was less related to the coaching and more a general statement. There is the concern that last year was simply the rebound from firing a coach and there will be a let down. The comments on Schiefele and Trouba were simply an analysis of the roster right now. For them to be a good team those guys have to play like top players. I don't know if they can do it for a full year because it is a lot of pressure to put on players so young.

Sunseri had problems with the pressure that Hamilton was bringing, and not many teams put as much pressure on the qb as the Esks do. The only chance the Riders have is if they can establish the ground game early. Or I suppose if the esks decide they want to turn the ball over a million times, but that seems less likely. Ottawa is so bad right now, Montreal should beat them without too much concern. -
I've had this argument with Noeller about people like Wiig before. She is a very funny lady, the problem is they basically ran every character she ever came up with into the ground and it just felt forced. They opted to take the easy way out and just throw out one of her characters again for the umpteenth time which was tiresome, but guys like Will Ferrell had the same problem too. As for Amy Poehler, she was funny too in that manic crazy kind of way, but Tina Fey is seriously unfunny and the most over rated comedienne I can think or and Noeller likes to associate Poehler and Fey because of how friendly they are. It's really a guilt by association I think.

Because they're not travelling, they're all people who have moved from Saskatchewan to Alberta for work. The inferiority complex comes because it was started with TSN (Glen Suitor in particular) hyping up the rider fans being the best fans in the league because there was support in the stands after the team was so bad for so long. No one ever praised the Bomber fans for sticking with their team through all the **** we've put up with, this whole "rider fans are the best" became a thing with TSN, and TSN loves to have their manufactured story, then Saskatchewan started to get it's economy in good shape and the entire province started a lot of chest thumping and it coincided with the Riders not sucking so hard anymore and everyone with even a remote tie to Saskatchewan wanted to jump on that bandwagon. There are a lot of Rider fans who act like they have been rider fans forever when the reality is that they weren't there to be counted until the team started to win and TSN started to jerk them off every chance they got.

A Healthy Renaud - Does He Get Back In?

It's because after Bob Cameron and Jon Ryan Bomber fans have unrealistically high expectations from the punter position. Same with running back, every back since Charles Roberts has had various people bitching that they're not good enough because Charlie was better. -
That's because of the limitations of the esks offense. Reilly isn't really sharp enough to run a lot of variations in the passing game.

Injuries all around please. -
This is really the thing for me.....we've had some of the league's all-time worst teams over the last decade, and the fans STILL sell the place out. The Riders would be lucky to get 20k with those teams. The difference between Bombers fans and Riders fans, is we have more "die hards", but less "casuals". The Riders have WAY MORE casual fans than any other franchise and maybe even more than some NHL franchises in Canada. They're the ones who buy the merch because it's "cool" to do so right now. They badly need another extended run of Al Ford years to thin out their ranks a little and shut them up but good...Wrong. With a good football team, how many sellouts have you had this season when the Riders weren't in town? Zip.With a bad football team, many sellouts did the Riders have in 2011 when we went 5-13? 5 is the correct answer. That said, no question the Bombers have thousands of diehard fans. The numbers however suggest otherwise when comparing how many of each franchise. Take for example last season, the top 12 attended games throughout the entire season all involved the Riders. This year we have soldout the past 3 home games, were at 99% capacity for game 2 & 3 had had 31K sold for our home opener which took place during a severe flood. Add to that the Riders have helped give Wpg, Vancouver, Edmonton, & soon to be Calgary their biggest home crowds this season. It's ok for you to claim the Bombers have more diehard fans however even though the Numbers aren't in your favour. Cheers. you are using one poor year amongst a group of years where the Riders went on long playoff runs? Come on, use some common sense (asking a lot I know) How many times were the Riders selling out the building in the 90s and early 2000s? That's what people are talking about. One year where there was a power struggle with the ex coach and current coach doesn't represent much of anything. We all know what the Bombers have for attendance now, but we also know how crappy the team has been for the last stretch, that's entirely the point, even during a real ugly stretch the bombers could still fill their stadium. This year obviously they haven't but you aren't taking into account how brutal last year was. Even the die hards had a hard time watching the team last year it was THAT bad. It takes time for the faith to be rebuilt. The RIders on the other hand have been more or less solid - good for the past 10-15 years, go look how many people they would get before that though and you'll see that this massive support you think they have is just a phenomenon that is tied to their recent success.
