  1. Ummm everyone... guys, especially guys on the older side of things wear down as a game goes on. You rotate and keep guys fresh you can keep your level high where as the offensive line isn't rotating players and will be the ones with less in the tank by the end. Are you being deliberately obtuse here or what? Cause some of the things you are saying are pants on head ********.
  2. Here is what you are failing to consider.... one of the things that this team used to do every single time was grind it out and wear other teams down over the course of a game and pull away in the end. The reason they were able to do that was primarily because they rotated like 8 quality guys throughout the defensive line and were always able to control that aspect. Last 2 grey cups we've seen the defense let them down late in the game and a big part of that is not having the quality bodies to keep rotating. That's roster management and it arguably cost them multiple games this season. Grey cup 100%, probably the loss to Ottawa as well. Cfl rosters are small enough as is, you can't be wasting spots on guys who don't contribute anything.
  3. Except now no one gets their name on the cup... so no I can't understand it.
  4. One injury forced 3 changes in the secondary and you don't think that is a factor in blown coverage? When you ate trying to win a championship you need better than "wasn't a liability"
  5. I just want someone in the teams management to force Mike oshea to justify dressing players on the game day roster who stand on the sidelines with their thumb up their ass all game. Rosters are small enough, why dress a guy who can't take any snaps?
  6. Didn't need hindsight to see it... he'll I said right after he got hurt I was more worried about Bighill playing hurt than not playing... I'm not some spectacular football scout, but it is obvious that even fully healthy Bighill is basically at the end of his usefulness as a star middle linebacker, when hurt the guy is not gonna even be close to that. The receivers I think you can dress one gimpy guy but not as many as they did.
  7. The whole point is the mos built the roster so as to have no depth on it during game day. It cost us the Grey Cup this year full stop. We won in 2019 and 2021 because of functional depth on the game day roster. You think it's coincidence that as soon as they lost the depth on the DL they didn't win the Grey Cup anymore?
  8. But the fact they put him in for the Grey Cup says to me they value him...
  9. I truly believe that Pierce was a big part of the collaros resurgence. Not sure who to trust as an OC now. Guess we trust these guys to make the right call.
  10. I don't want to have to hate those guys but I will...
  11. That is where the gm comes in and forces the issue and makes the hard choices. "Sorry Osh, didn't have the budget to keep these guys"
  12. Can't stands ya... sorry every time I see the name that's where my mind goes. Mark my words plop and collaros is a disaster waiting to happen. Lapo has a habit of getting qbs killed.
  13. People went gah gah over Michael Reilly when he had done less than brown as a backup. Brown has accomplished more than Arbuckle did too. Also did more than maier had done before the stamps gave him a role. Collaros is 35, he doesn't have that many years left. If Brown is as good as he's looked it's worth the conversation. Now it won't happen with this management group but we're a fan message board, it's a good conversation to happen.
  14. Anyone who didn't see cracks start to emerge in Collaros wasn't paying attention and at his age it is totally valid to question how much longer he can be at that level. Especially when he has a top 2 biggest salary in the league.
  15. People throwing scenarios out if Buck were to leave for another job.
  16. The difference being that playcalling is what Lapo sucks at! Which is why I don't want him back.
  17. See my take is that Collaros is too focused on going downfield he doesn't use the shorter throws as effectively as he could. There's a balance to be had and I think collaros has fallen into the "huck it! Chuck it! Football!" Mentality
  18. Yeah not gonna put that on oshea. That's classic Lapo. Longer qbs spend with lapo the worse they get.
  19. Hey he had that sweet touchdown pass to Harris in the Grey cup
  20. Except for those times he doesn't get rid of the ball. He uses his legs to move around the pocket so it's not like he's late stage calvillo, teams are just not letting him escape like he used to. Which is where actually running for some yards would help. He wants to pass, someone needs to tell him sometimes running helps the passing long term.
  21. No one is saying turn into Chris Streveler out there... just that when there's a wide open area use his legs and run. Make the defense account for that possibility. He got hurt screwing around behind the line of scrimmage this season. Guy like that can get hurt anywhere.
  22. By the time the wheels fall off it is too late. You wanna go back to hunting for reasons why the Alex brinks of the world are going to save us?
  23. Yeah this past season Brown showed me everything I needed to see. After his very first game I'd have tossed him aside cause it was awful, but he can do everything a qb should be able to and can operate a cfl offense efficiently.
