  1. The bombers have used a double MLB set with Wild and Kuale (or Kromah the one game he was in) a ton this year, that isn't news.
  2. A new commissioner coming in and having to put out a fire in Toronto is pretty much par for the course.
  3. The dirty little secret about the CFL is that comissioners serve at Braleys leisure so what's to say that Cohon isn't leaving because he took a stand against lord Braley?
  4. which is a one season missteap. The point still remains, new rider fans have no concept of hard times and as a result lack the humility of the ones who have been there a long time. They think Darian Durant and Weston Dressler are just the bees knees, don't have an appreciation for the great players in the league who came before. It's not your fault you're young, but that youth and inexperience means you don't know nearly enough to be taken seriously about much.
  5. New jerseys doesn't cater to the youth, all it is is trying to sell new jerseys to whoever has disposable income to buy a new jersey. If you really want to get young fans into the CFL, and I do think that is the key goal, you have to make going to the games fun, your team has to have a presence in the community and you have to engage the kids. New jerseys don't do that.
  6. if you guys want to welcome rider fans in you are welcome to. But here's the thing with new rider fans, it's not their age, it's that to them, a bad season is losing the west semi final. No humility because they have no concept of watching a crappy team, they're annoying as a result.
  7. As soon as he starts to man up and run hard he'll be a fine running back, but as long as he keeps being tentative and run east/west too much I will be hard on him. Did you all see the way Volny ran? Just straight up the middle for positive yards. More of that is needed from Grigsby because unlike Volny he can actually hang onto the ball and not fumble it.
  8. remember when these new jerseys came out and they said they listened to the fans to come up with a design?
  9. because it takes time to grasp the playbook?
  10. Better solution: run up the score in the first half so they're passing the ball then entire 2nd half trying to catch up. Seriously beating those assholes 52-0 is too good for them.
  11. just bite the bullet and wear white, they've worn white road jerseys right up until they got these latest ass ugly things.
  12. I thought I read somewhere that he wasn't going to be taking another contract in TO....I'll try to find the linkIf Milo exits Toronto I suspect its either head coach in Montreal or OC in Wpg. Let the Als have Marcel B. - O'Shea and Milanovich would be kegs of dyno mite...... that said, still need significant personnel upgrades. Milanovich is pretty unlikely to take a coordinator gig at this point in time. Montreal does seem like a good bet. Yeah no kidding, he'd get a head gig no trouble if he left Toronto. Winning as a head coach will do that for a guy. If Milanovich left the Argos. I wonder which desperate fool would be stupid enough to take on that franchise. Marcel, Burke, Higgins....Kelly! Well he doesn't want the job but someone has to do it... perfect Burke situation.
  13. Nope not the case. Unless you mistakenly think the run stopping problems are a personnel issue and not a scheme issue. And I do. Then you're wrong. We had the same defensive tackles with Tim Burke and run stopping wasn't a huge area of concern.

  15. The rule book says the home team can't use electronic devices and large speakers to create noise. I don't think the other part about the crowd making noise has ever been enforced. Pretty sure piped crowd noise was used often at BC Place. Not sure if they are still doing that or not. That was years ago. And they aren't doing it anymore. Lol, cool. I remember in 2007 it just about broke into a battle royal leading up to the playoffs. Wally got into with Rider colour commentator Carm Carteri and everything. Good times! Let me guess Carteri was being an idiot
  16. Cam't blame him for that, but he seemed to leave on good terms with the Bombers, here's hoping he wants to come back here.

  18. I haven't seen a Western team, that we've played, that we can't beat. But haven't. Well they did kick BC around pretty good, and BC is the only team to beat the Stamps so far so therefore the Bombers are really the best team in the CFL.
  19. I don't see how he doesn't win at this point. McIver has just said some really strange things. As far as the general election goes I wouldn't be surprised to see the PCs pull it off again. Not sure people are ready to trust the Wild Rose yet given that they are close with the federal conservatives who are falling out of favour.
  20. If there's anyone who knows about wrong decisions it's Lapolice.
  21. Who says we can't have both? never understood why people think we can only pick up one player
  22. Mountains are high, it was about 9 degrees in Calgary this morning and rainy, doesn't take much change in elevation for that temperature to drop and get snow. Rest assured there was no snow in Calgary, just chilly and rainy.
  23. I wouldn't hold my breath on anything changing. I can see us going 2 - 6 down the stretch mostly due to other teams have figured out our weakness. You're pretty much on the money. If we TKO Sask'n this weekend that all changes but if we succumb to the riders for the 3rd time this year I can only see 2 more wins down the stretch --- thus 8-10 looms and I don't think that will get us 4th in west and the crossover. Unless BC collapses and goes 7-11 with Lulay still not right and Glenn having problems. Must say I love how O'Shea protects his players.... almost indifferent to their weaknesses. At least in public. If he's like that behind closed doors we got problems! We are going to be in tough this weekend because we've lost a couple of key pieces: Wild and Moore, and it looks like Sask will be in good shape. What is going to stop a replay? The additions of Romby Bryant and Kuale? Connect on a few of those deep passes or complete that endzone pass to Kelly and it's a very different game. Don't blow a coverage for a Rider TD and it's a different game. There's lots of things that can change the game.
  24. but I don't think anyone has called it a high ankle sprain have they? They have just called it a sprain.
  25. Eskimos are massively overrated. Their defence is pretty good but their offence truly stinks. That sounds like a better description of the Riders, & I don't just say that b/c you're a Riders fan. Relying solely on the run won't work, imo, against the Stamps or Esks. Their passing game has to improve to beat either of those teams. The Esks offense hasn't been that bad. Not great, but not terrible either. But getting Dressler back changes that a lot. He's a safety blanket for Durant and makes the rest of the receivers that much more dangerous.
