  1. no it's clearly the Rider fans that are the problem. Coming in and posting in every thread acting superior like only rider fans can. If it were my call you'd all be hit with the ban hammer.
  2. You're hilarious. You really shouldn't complain as the over all quality of your forum has improved. except for the fact that it's a unanimous opinion that the quality has in fact dropped this year. Too much green ruins everything. cflzone used to be a fine place, but then it turned into riderfans pt. 2 and no one bothered to go. You see the only people who can stand Rider fans are other Rider fans, best stick to your own kind and not bother us with your blind homerism.
  3. Who's talking about the long knives? Take your hyperbole and get out, we are simply pointing out areas he needs to improve on. No one is talking about backstabbing the guy.
  4. Have patience, the usual suspects will all be gathered soon enough... Well then, sounds like you guys don't have a care in the world. Just keep skipping thru the fields of marigolds. Who said that? I'm just stating that Durant should be back & that we have as good a shot at a championship as any other team. Plus, that's the time when Calgary tanks ! Pay attention, we've explained to you many times that Calgary tanking was a result of relying on the two biggest fair weather qbs in the league, Burris and Glenn, neither one is in Calgary anymore. Did you happen to see how Burris played in the Grey Cup last year? Everyone knew it was going to happen because it was cold out. Hamilton was fortunate that the east final was in a dome otherwise Burris wouldn't have gotten that team to the Grey Cup at all and the Riders would have had a stiffer test in the Cup.
  5. Am I crazy for thinking that the Bombers D has actually faired well against running quarterbacks this year?
  6. Walters has some warts in his recruitment strategy thus far that is pretty clear, and one of the things Mike O'Shea needs to learn is that sometimes you have to make roster changes even if the guys in there aren't ******* things up. Sometimes you have to take those guys out to get your play makers on the roster. Always be looking to upgrade your roster where you can.
  7. Even if Durant is healthy for the playoffs, how effective will he be? Coming in cold with what kind of recovery on his elbow? No I wouldn't count on him coming in to save the day. What I read was that best case scenario he's able to play in the playoffs, but didn't sound like something that was for sure. I also wonder if that best case scenario might not have been a little less optimistic had Sunseri not played like complete ****.
  8. Of course it will, he's got too much popularity for it to not be. The other options are too old and out of the public conscience so Walby will be in easily. I'll tell you right now that Stegall is going to be named the all time receiver as well. That's my bold prediction.
  9. You think they haven't done that already? If there was a chance that he'd be doing more damage by playing they would not let him on the field.
  10. I dunno doesn't seem like much of a payment on Tamans part. Get a pretty decent DE in exchange for trading down a round in 2 drafts, that's a value deal. Not sure why the Riders felt they needed to make that move though, DL wasn't exactly their weak spot.
  11. yeah I just hate when players show that battle level, much rather have a team full of *******.
  12. You don't care that injuries had an effect, you don't care that bad coaches had an impact.. so you're just hating for the sake of hating?Doesn't Clarence Denmark look like a totally different player this year compared to last year? Denmark looked great second half of last year. You know when he improved? After they fired Crowton. Coincidence? Did Matthews even play after they changed coaches?
  13. He does have a pretty good amount of special teams tackles.
  14. You don't care that injuries had an effect, you don't care that bad coaches had an impact.. so you're just hating for the sake of hating? Doesn't Clarence Denmark look like a totally different player this year compared to last year?
  15. He did, but he kept breaking, Willy just doesn't break. He gets hurt, but he stays in the line up.
  16. Drew Willy is indestructible so no matter what Bryant Turner does you can't kill Willy, therefore after a lifetime of trying Turner will simply collapse from exhaustion.
  17. DREW WILLY COULD WRESTLE A BEAR!
  18. are you just being difficult here or what? Willy has proven he's tough. Guy has been playing through pain for a long time. Twice he's banged his hand and played through, he came back from that painful looking ankle injury on Labour day, he is practising again after being questionable with the shoulder. How much more can he prove? He keeps picking himself up and getting back into the game, that's proving it as much as anyone can.
  19. Most jr. teams operate on shoestring budgets so having those star players to market around certainly is something worthwhile. To be perfectly honest I think the biggest change isn't with kids being more ready for the NHL at younger ages than they used to be so much as young players are cheaper options in a cap world than a veteran. Used to be that you never even thought of bringing young players up unless they were truly exceptional talents but now with veterans being more expensive younger players are an option to save cap space.
  20. Which is precisely why he's on his what? 4th team?
  21. That's not something that you'd ever see Dave Ritchie or Cal Murphy discussing. For all we know Ritchie was trying but we didn't understand what the hell he was saying.
  22. Kevin Glenn would sure look good in Blue and Gold right about now. Hamilton is coming on and Collaros is proving to be more effective than Willy. I think we've had enough "what if" threads. It is not a what if. These are cold hard facts. Glenn despite the hiccup against Toronto (no shame in losing to Ricky Ray) is more than a servicable back up who was available and Collaros is looking good since his return. Don't get me wrong I think Willy could be a star once he gets more experience but the fact is we are facing a hot qb on Saturday and before his injury Willy was cooling off. "facts" Willy was still playing fine, but other parts of the team were starting to falter and the level of competition rose in addition to I think a bit of complacence on the Bombers part. Glenn was a non starter, the price was too high when Willy was on board.
  23. for an example of this see any game day thread or chat room.
  24. We don't really know what we have yet with Brohm. I'll go into the game cautiously optimistic. I hope you're considering that we could very well be in position to be tied with BC if we manage to pull this game out. Unfortunately, I fear that Brohm is more similar to Mike Quinn or Tee Martin then any competent backup. Quinn wasn't a terrible qb though... he just screwed himself over when he tried to be a hero rather than listening to the coaches.
