  1. They could lose every remaining game and it would still be a huge improvement from last year, I think you are forgetting just how bad they were last year. Out of the game before the first quarter was done more nights than not, at least this time when they're getting beaten it's after a close game. I just don't subscribe to this logic. I think it matters where the losses and wins happen. If we had started off this bad, and recently won 5 of 6 I could agree. But were regressing so sharply that has to be taken into account. If we lose every game remaining in the season, including to a terrible Ottawa team, this team is in deep trouble next season. Wins in July and August mean nothing if the team completely falls apart. I just don't get how that's not understood,. You are entitled to be wrong, but when comparing to last year the progression is so obvious it's slapping you in the face.
  2. And you are wrong to do that. Game 1 was lost purely because of turnovers. Our offense generated more points for the riders via turnovers than the Riders offence did. Labour day I will concede the defense most of the blame, they let that last drive happen too easily. Banjo Bowl was again turnovers. The D got the offense the ball back twice in the dying moments of the game, the first one they threw a pick and that was basically it. Can't be turning the ball over like that and expect to win.

  4. Dressler? Taman was the GM in Winnipeg when Dressler was signed by the Riders. Taman brought Dressler in with the Bombers. Think it was 2007 but not sure, he was on your practice roster and was later cut. The next year he signed as a walk on with the Riders. I'll have to look it up because I'm second guessing myself now. Don't want to post mis- information. If that were true don't you think us Bomber fans would be raging about that still? At most Dressler was on the neg list at one point but he was never in town.
  5. Marcel is what he is. He's a nice average offensive coordinator. Not going to set the world on fire, won't be terrible either. I've made the comparison before, he's the Kevin Glenn of offensive coordinators.
  6. You don't give a GM credit for identifying backup qbs that are worth going after? Seems to me that We're giving Walters credit for bringing Willy here, why not give Taman his props for doing that twice for us? Twice in 10 years... and I am not certain he was responsible for landing KJ. Ritchie would have been in on that one. The Glenn trade in 05 or 06 was nice though. Now list all the rubes he brought in. And I am not pumping Walters tires for landing Willy. especially considering he openly admitted he had 1-2 QB's slotted ahead of him 2 guys in 10 years... Khari Started for the team for 4 years and Glenn for 6... what's the problem here?
  7. Marcel is the safe choice as OC. Not going to set the world on fire but not going to be terrible either, I can live with him, but would love an upgrade... just you might not get one. Etch has been better than expected this year, no reason not to bring him back at this point. Having some damned fine playmakers on D definitely helps.
  8. People have been saying that for a few years now. I think he makes the team again for the simple reason that he's shown himself able to be an in game fill in at RB if needed and obviously does enough on special teams to be kept around. In other words, he's a good depth NI and those guys keep their jobs very often.
  9. Anyone who doesn't have faith in the Bombers finding a way to lose a game they should win clearly hasn't followed the team for the past how many years? Never take anything for granted with this team, they just love to rip our hearts out.

  11. already answered
  12. They have a popular song "radio active" you'd probably know it if you heard it I am pretty sure it was even used in a commercial for something... I got nothing against them but based on the little I know about them it's not a good half time show pick.
  13. So people are wired like that though, they look at their own team through critical eyes but gloss over a lot of problems with other teams. See it happen all the time.
  14. That's because some of the best and brightest CFL posters on the web are posting here and there's a good ration of good posters to crap posters simply because there's less crap posters.
  15. The best thing Zach Galifianakis ever did was Out Cold and it's probably because he doesn't act like Zach Galifianakis in it. I really don't like the McCarthy and Farley comparisons either, there was a difference between the two even if I can't exactly put my finger on it.
  16. Head? well thanks for stealing my response.
  17. What will you do if Doege looks poor? Pine for the 4th stringer?
  18. But I am confused... we were told by the resident rider homer that he would be back in the lineup by week 17... the doctors said so! How is it possible that Chamblin didn't ask the doctors?
  19. Writing as a CFL fan, is it bad that I really don't care whether Durant comes back or not this year? Great athlete, has come a long way in understanding our game, but there's always been that 'something' about Durant that annoys me. Annoying in how he approaches the game, his teammates and the rest of the league. It's hard to put that feeling into words other than he doesn't appear to come across as authentic. Hope I'm wrong for his sake. Just my opinion as a CFL fan. The colour of his jersey?
  20. But thats not what they asked or said that pissed him off, seriously dude,, the cjob reporter on the sidelines keith mccullough or whatever his name is tweeted something he thought o'shea said when o'shea actually didn't say it... Wouldn't that piss you off too? If not then you haven't been paying much attention to how O'shea operates. Wont throw players under the bus and the tweet the CJOB reporter sent out implied that Oshea threw Lirim under the bus when in fact he didn't. The tweet is gone now too so what does that tell you exactly? McCullough was dead wrong. Otherwise the tweet would still be there for all to see. Oshea spent 15 seconds talking about that tweet and hasn't since. Done and Done. And I dont think he should have spent any time responding to it. Why was it a priority for this team that he was showed a "tweet" immediately after the game? I'm not sure he was showed the tweet. From the final gun to the actual interview, there were a ****load of people that he would have encountered that may have brought it up. Doesn't Keith do the sidline report for CJOB? He might have actually asked him on his way back to the locker room I suspect he was lurking near the Bomber bench and probably heard the exchange between Lriam and O'Shea and just condensed it to fit the twitter format. O'Shea was probably most upset because he considered that a private moment not for public consumption. No O'Shea was clear, he was upset with the word blame being in there. If the tweet had simply said "O'Shea told Lirim he needs to get the ball away quicker" I doubt there's any issue, but one thing has been very clear thus far, O'Shea will not throw anyone under the bus.
  21. It's really just taking the easiest laugh they can get. I think she is a better actress than that but why put in more effort to write something else when people will laugh at the fat person doing whatever funny thing fat people do.
  22. I sometimes play Civ 4. I was a beta tester for the game and still have a soft spot for it. Civ 4 was the first civilization game I played since the first one and it was a lot of fun. I played a Civ for PC a while ago. Not sure how late it was but I think it was around 4 or 5. Pretty fun. If they had a CIV for android phones I'd probably get nothing done.
  23. her appeal can be summed up in this simple sentence "They love it when fatty falls down"
  24. If you're saying they had to change the types of routes they asked from that position to suit the player then you're really not disagreeing with me.
