  1. Never heard the story, do you have details for us? I don't think it's one specific story so much as those two liked to have fun
  2. He clipped his facemask that's pretty undeniable, now do you consider that hitting a guy in the head?
  3. shush, the sooner people get eliminated the sooner I can win
  4. Good that was a real piece of crap move to make that hit.
  5. Willis led with his helmet I knew there would be some type of fine after seeing it.
  6. I will jump on the Grigsby bandwagon as well.
  7. It's not that the media are too easy on the Bombers, they're hard on them make no mistake about it, they just lack the ability to know what kinds of questions to ask for the most part. They play favourites with individuals based on their expectations of how they should be treated as the all knowing and all powerful media.
  8. bolded tells the whole story
  9. So now we can forgive Walters for the Korey Banks transaction? No mistakes are still mistakes. We can talk about good and bad without having to ignore one or the other.
  10. I can't remember... Hey it's not his fault, he didn't have any talent to work with, he didn't even want the job anyway but someone had to do it.
  11. If not I fear our offensive potency will be flaccid. ...leaving Bomber fans limp..... and unsatisfied...
  12. In theory sure, but there are lots of teams in the west that feel they have improved. Everyone writes of Edmonont because they finished low in the standings last season but I think that's a mistake for one simple reason: Their record to start the season when Dubnyk and LOLbarbera were giving up the worst goals ever. After the Oilers brought in Scrivens their record was actually reasonable, right around the .500 mark which puts them in line with the just not quite playoff level teams, it's just that the hole they were in to start the season was so deep there was no getting out of it without a near impossible winning steak. Who knows what Calgary is going to do, I do think they improved their goaltending by quite a bit in free agency. Vancouver again is a crap shoot. Should have good goaltending, but is it enough? Nashville should have fine defense and goaltending, will they score enough? Remains to be seen but you never know. The west is once again more than likely going to be very hard to predict and a very tough conference to get traction in.
  13. Yeah Smith only looked good in the context of his previous game. He still couldn't hit a target down field with any kind of reliability. They worked a lot of short passes and relied on the receiver or whitaker picking up first downs. The concern with Montreal is that their defense appears to be pretty solid.
  14. Man getting Randle was a shrewd move. Liked it at the time it went down and love it now.
  15. It's a perfect situation for Ray. Ray loves to drop short passes to his receivers and Owens is good at taking those passes and doing a lot with them. I find it funny they're spending a whole thread trying to call out Chamblin because he benched Allen for one tiny bit of the 2nd quarter, when that did nothing whatsoever to affect the game. They oughtta be calling out their DBs for being lazy with the Argo WRs and letting Ricky Ray torch em lol Durant takes his share of the blame too, he had chances early on to do what the Bombers did and torch the Argos but he kept missing his targets. The only thing the Riders were really doing well on offense to start that game was running the ball but they kept putting it on Durants arm when he clearly wasn't having much success at the time.
  16. Might have been worth a challenge from Ottawa if it was ruled incomplete, but going the other way, complete to incomplete, on the challenge would have certainly not been overturned. He has control and turns upfield (football move), catch complete, then he gets stripped. That's just it though, the ball comes, he makes the catch as he's turning, the strip as he's turning, all in the matter of a second or two. It's closer than you think. No it's been called like that for years now, there was no way that was going to be ruled incomplete. He tucked the ball and took a step, that's a catch in the CFL.
  17. Not well, he looks like a good qb but qbs can't survive getting run over the by Tim Burke bus.
  18. let's face it, the argos simply faced a far superior opponent last week.
  19. Seeing the Riders stumble and bumble around does the heart good. I could watch that all day.
  20. plus a turnstile at tackle it ain't a good situation.
  21. Burke won't get a head coaching job in the CFL again for a long long time.
  22. Especially when you consider that Montreal has probably been their most successful road trip in terms of winning these past few years anyway.
  23. No they were good friends when they were both here and presumably that hasn't changed. Not the first time they've worked together as coach and qb either, Khari was coaching in Hamilton with Glenn there too don't forget. This is plain and simply a case of BC can't protect Glenn and he's doing what he always does when he gets hit a lot.
  24. They called a good game for Smith. Lots of short passes. I actually had a bit of a comparison watching him last night... He's Nealon Greene come again. If the pass is within 10 yards he's ok but anything longer and his accuracy is completely out the window.
