the concern for BC is Lulays shoulder. Riders and stamps should be fighting for 1 and 2 but I think I give the riders the edge just because Durant is a safer bet than Tate and Mitchell. (we have no idea what BLM can do and Tate is as likely to get hurt as he is to finish a game) As for Edmonton and WInnipeg who the **** knows.

yeah he was really looking dangerous as a returner last year then he got hurt. If he can be a Keith Stokes type that'd be huge given how much Bellefeuille seems to love that type of player in his offenses.

So you are suggesting that we have a game day roster that features only 2 running backs (Cotton/Messam) and use the DI elsewhere? Please correct this if I'm still not understanding you. I will then explain why that doesn't really make us better. expecting tburgess to justify his opinions in a way that makes sense is asking for too much. He prefers to get an idea in his head and stick with it no matter how your pick it apart.

Some people are saying that is a failure on recruiting…what if it's success by Kelly? Kelly gets way too much flack here (beating a dead horse), being a guy that came in midway through the season last year and looked pretty decent (in bursts, of course). I say let the chips fall where they may. He will likely be the starting WR come the first game of the season. What I like about this management team is that they are constantly looking to get better, and that is for every position. except he really didn't... he made like 3 really impressive looking catches and disappeared. He did about as much on a per game basis as Etienne did and you all couldn't wait to run Etienne out of town. Kelly making the team means the scouts failed to bring in anyone better and that is not a good thing.

Are Hall and Brohm not pretty much the same age with similar experiences in other leagues except that Hall has started more games in the CFL? That's why we're having these discussions because we have 2 backups at a similar point in their careers only one is slightly more experienced than the other. He may not be good enough to start, but I haven't seen any of the qbs behind Willy stand out more than Hall has yet. Marve looks promising but again the guy has only had a couple series haven't seen nearly enough of him in real situations to make any kind of statement on him.

It's not even US beers, there's like 2 companies that own pretty much every major brand globally. It's really sad. It's a big reason why I tend to buy beers mainly from small independent craft breweries. They care more about the flavour of their beer than the taste. The big labels have started trying to trick people too by trying to give the appearance of being a craft beer but still putting their fizzy watery tasting beer in the bottle.

Kemp and Johnson both looked like they had a clue what they were doing.... but they both put a lot of balls on the turf over the course of the 2 games. I am always concerned about guys who drop passes because your #1 job as a receiver is to catch the ball when it comes to you.

it's not the players that hurt against the run, the main thing is the alignment.

There is no way Ian Wild wouldn't be on the game day roster, guy is too good, especially in comparison to our other linebackers.

Practice...I think Hall lost it based on Brohm showing something decent in his second preseason game. He didn't show any better than Hall in that game though, and he was clearly worse in game 1 as well. Difference is simply that Hall made the mistake with the int in Calgary. I honestly don't know where you are getting this idea that Brohm was showing much. Willy in that game was so far ahead of the other 3 it wasn't even funny.

If you are hit while throwing, how do you eat the ball. You can only really eat the ball if you are setting up to throw... Looks to me like he was throwing when he was hit and the ball did reach the back of the endzone. you recognize that you don't have time to throw the ball and protect it.

Some one doesn't pay attention to kick returns... but aside from that I don't particularly want Ford on the team all that much either. He's an OK change of pace runningback and servicable kick returner but you can do better than a guy like that.

the receiver took his route outside, likely what was called for him to do, but Hall wasn't able to get the ball out to him and it went more inside. To me it looked like Hall didn't get the ball where he wanted to get it on account of the pressure getting to him as he was throwing. He misjudged how much time he was going to have to throw and the result was a ball that didn't get where he wanted it to go. It was a risky decision at that point in the game. That happens when you're down by a bunch or early enough in the game it's not such a big deal, but the time in the game when it happened when you're knocking on the door to take a bigger lead you gotta be smarter with the ball. I'm not trying to be hard on Hall because to my eyes he was still the 2nd best qb in preseason but it was a mistake on his part no questions asked.

and how did that work out for us? At least we know Messam can play. Etienne? Meh. do we really know that? Etienne hasn't been cut from any teams yet but Messam just got cut... maybe it's time to admit that it's been a long while since messam was a relevant player in the CFL. RBs have a short shelf life.

Ottawa is the only Canadian team that doesn't sell out all of their NHL games too. and if the flames stick to being a bad team you'll be seeing some empty seats in the saddledome as well. Ottawa is just a weird town for sports, they just don't seem to really get behind anything. Calgary is a band wagon town plain and simple.

And don't complain when Bilikudi and Muamba come back to Canada this year either. Then we go from suck to blow on the ratio. i'm pretty sure you retain the rights to one of those guys... but not so sure about the other. yeah but the other guy knows that Kyle Walters is willing to back a dump truck full of money up to his house

A weak link on the OL is a significantly bigger problem than one on the dl. and quite frankly based on preseason I think the offense will be doing more to keep us in games this year than the D anyway. I know that's a strange thought for bomber fans to wrap their heads around but it might be true...

IE. O'Shea was not happy with Halls int at the end. I finally got around to watching the game and yikes that was a poor decision to make. Eat the sack there and they might win the game. I'm glad that you are finally seeing how mediocre Hall truly is. So please no more comparisons to Ricky Ray and dropping passes into the receivers hands. Halls noodle arm and stone legs simply won't cut it. that's an interesting take on what I said.... quite frankly I think Hall looked OK until that int. I didn't see a whole lot from Brohm that would put him ahead at this point other than the fact that the int was just a brain fart and Brohm didn't make any of those this game so to me Hall is still the #2 guy but I think O'Shea is not happy with losing that game and rightly so, they gave the game away with dropped passes and sloppy tackling and other assorted mistakes.
