You can get away with that until the age of 30 hits you like a mack truck. damn you old age!

What's Duthies story? If he's sticking with TSN without hockey to do would seem pretty natural for him to shift back to the CFL panel.

Bombers negotiate Transit game day discount

All that is is intimidation. Unless you're someone important posting crap on the internet is no different than standing on the street corner saying anything which is quite allowed. Just there's a lot of people willing to go through the process of trying to scare people with lawyers even though there's nothing they can really do. -
Walters has talked about Swiston having injury problems as well so I am thinking that he is very aware of injury history for players which is a good view for a GM to take. Doesn't do you any good to have a guy on the sidelines all the time.

Except that when Suber tackles a guy it's in the open field, how good a tackler would he be if he had to shed blocks from very large angry men to make those tackles? You could easily argue that open field tackling is harder... but I'm not going to.... I'll take more stock in the depth chart once the roster is announced... harder in a different way but easier in other ways too.

sounds like something they make at Brewsters, the berries floating in it freaks me out too

Both teams have pretty good goaltending situations though. How's this for a thought... MIller to Vancouver. It's pretty close the California and in the same time zone and all that and they happen to have a gap at the goaltending position.

Some new players and where you guys think they might fit in 2014
17to85 replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
to be fair though we've said that every year since the beginning of time. -
Sid probably has more natural talent than Gretzky but Wayne had monsters flanking him and had a credit card to avoid regular abuse - even in playoffs. Sidney doesn't have that luxury - more the fault of guys like Shero & Byylesma, probably explains why both guys will be gone from the Pens organization by mid-June. Don't say stupid **** Nate.

I am generally not a fan of beers with the fruity flavours but I ended up trying a few different ones that were not over the top with their fruit flavours and weren't too bad, I wish I could remember what they were called though.

'Overpaying' is just referring to how Taman's move to get Craig Butler was portrayed... basically, you have a chance to get your guy and ditch two picks to move up. Briggs was one of the guys I was hoping would be around for our second pick - not a shot at Walters at all. We finally have a GM who is acting like a CFL GM. The Butler pick was lucky more than anything, they were going to take Hugh O'Neill but Buono got him a pick earlier. Got him mixed up with Hurl... I think that's who Taman traded up for - anyway, Walters still reminds me of Taman. The only similarity between the two is that they are both GM's Well, that was one major difference between Taman and Mack... I'll give you that. The big difference is that if Taman would have traded a former first round pick NI REC for an import QB, everyone would have been screaming for his head. Everyone who is irrational, perhaps. well how many rational people do you actually think populate these boards? Even the most rational people here go crazy sometimes.

but like all drafts you can't make that call until we see how these players develop. Maybe those first and second round players he got later fell for a reason? Give it time we'll see how Walters stacks up.

I am very very very very disappointed this thread exists

This thread needs to be bumped again so here it is. Inspired by Calgary Beerfest a couple weeks ago. Perhaps the favourite that I sampled there was the Mill St. Tankhouse Ale who else has tried some good beer lately? It's almost football season we need to get some suggestions out there for in game beverages.

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
17to85 replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Revenue sharing the PA wants is a percentage of total revenue (eg 50% owners & 50% players). Not sharing between teams. how do you tie salaries to revenue if you don't share revenue between teams though? -
Trudeau at this point is just an actor. He says a lot of things people like to hear but I haven't seen any substance from him yet. Lots of talk but few actual solutions being presented.

Pens: Shero Fired, Brisson In?

Trotz also likely comes with the former Nashville goalie coach and the preds in addition to being a defense factory also churned out goalies like no ones business so maybe he could have gotten Fleury to be more consistent. Somewhere along the way Trotz has picked up the reputation that he can't coach offensive players, not sure why or how but it's ridiculous. That man is a great coach. You don't stay in one place as long as he did without being one. -
Rider Fans asked to help fund new stadium

Rider fans are blind sheep they'll give them a fancy piece of paper for their money and they'll happily keep shovelling it over. -
Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members

Let's hope both sides realize this before it's too late. However I get the impression the players are trying to play a game of chicken they can't win. -
That seems like a pretty sweeping generalization based on nothing. it's not based on nothing, it's based on anecdotal evidence... that's a kind of evidence right?

Young guys, in and of themselves, aren't necessarily a bad thing .. it's the fact we lacked a bridge or solid leadership presence which ultimately exposed this team .. I mean .. those young guys performed quite well when Richard Harris was still still with us .. he was that steadying rock .. without that .. those young guys looked lost. if your players are young it falls on the coaches to provide that leadership and sad to say Burke was an utter failure leading anything.

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
17to85 replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
This is the most important part for the players to actually remember. If Young and Wetenhall decide they are tired of losing money Braley can't buy every team. The CFL is in a good spot now but it's hardly as stable as all that. TSN decides that they want to save money and not pay up big for the next TV deal where does that leave the league? Wasn't that long ago the Bombers and Riders were on life support, they still have a hell of a time finding owners for the Argos and we're really not far removed from a goof like feterik owning the stamps. Things look stable now but it doesn't take much to make that all start to fall apart. -
It's nothing against Ford, just that I don't like that type of back as your featured guy. I prefer someone who can do some harder running if need be. As a backup and change of pace guy I like Ford but as a full time starter it's too inconsistent.

people on the left tend to be the most intolerant of other ideas. If you dare to question their ideology they do nothing but hurl insults and put on an air of superiority because they are oh so enlightened.
