  1. Except collaros has shown himself to be a guy who has his favoured crutches... in an ideal world sure what you say is true... but the world ain't ideal.
  2. If that were totally true qbs wouldn't get paid so damned much in comparison to the rest of the league. Teams with bad qbs never amount to much regardless of how good the rest of the roster is.
  3. Most of the kvetching that goes on around here relates to usage of players on D... and yet they D had been good... it's the offense that let's this team down the past few years... just an interesting observation to me.
  4. With the receivers 2 years ago you can get away with dressing 1 guy who can't run but not 3. That just handicaps yourself too much.
  5. For all his quirks Charles Roberts and his lack of professionalism at times (particularly around a certain Grey Cup game with a rookie qb getting his first start) I have a real hard time seeing him in anything but a positive light. Dude was electric as a player and did a lot of heavy lifting for this teams offense for a lot of years and took a beating doing it. He gave it all for this team.
  6. This is literally what made him the player he was... one step and he made guys look stupid. Had a real knack for bouncing off first contact too. I think he'd be a similar player in any era to be honest. He was just able to make guys miss and that wouldn't change based on player type I don't think.
  7. Get the popcorn out... lots of them reallllllllll upset by Harris and his drug issues. See how quickly they try and change their tunes.
  8. So I actually read a thing on this recently... essentially other apes can engage more large muscle groups at once making them stronger... however the cost compared to home sapiens is they can't hold a pencil or as the author put it "brain someone with a rock from distance" so as crazy as he is, he's not totally wrong.
  9. Wrong... and not just wrong but you should probably feel shame
  10. This. Guy is not nearly effective enough anymore.
  11. Totally. Nichols put up some good playoff games for this team with bend and break defenses. With the D we put out in the playoffs in 2019 Nichols would have managed the hell out of a Grey cup win. That 2019 playoff D... that was goooooooooood stuff.
  12. Wasn't just BA, I specifically said Taylor as well and maston. Jones too. Strev played a bunch in that west final anyway. Collaros didn't do a lot in the grey cup game, given the way the D was playing i feel we could have won without collaros
  13. Thomas in limited reps is fine. That's the key. Don't play him like he's Doug brown in his prime.
  14. That's the beauty! Booch has already committed to the work pro bono.
  15. Walters plan "alright Osh, I'll sign Thomas if it'll keep you happy" Then first day of training camp a mystery assailant hammers Thomas in thr knee cap with a tire iron and he's on the IR all year. Everyone is happy.
  16. Y'all are nuts... the thing they turned the switch in 2019 was getting the secondary sorted out. Alexander to safety, Taylor coming in, guys like Jones and Easton solidifying spots. That 2019 playoff edition defense was a nightmare for teams, just ask Dane Evans. Y'all are nuts... the thing they turned the switch in 2019 was getting the secondary sorted out. 17. Without Chris Streveler we don't even make it to the west final in 2019...
  18. Hows about we sign an OC first and then figure out the backup qb situation... my vote is streveler and let the man play qb not human piñata
  19. I think it's abundantly clear after the past few years that Zach collaros isn't the reason the drought ended. Thank Andrew Harris, thank the defense.
  20. Came up short... yeah best reason why people look down on Glenn... his physical stature. He was a good solid player. The OG game manager.
  21. I mean if a starter goes down i don't doubt that oshea has complete faith in his backups.... problem comes in when you start to figure out that "goes down" means something different to oshea than you or I. For oshea it's something like "is he breathing? Then he can play"
  22. Kelly redid his contract a bit though right? And now is less than Zach. Or am I crazy?
  23. But nothing says what the plan is for the guy... or the position in general. You're just letting your biases get in the way. They sign Wilson now because who else is going to sign him? And he knows it. So for him he gets a contract now rather than being left holding the bag waiting for his phone to ring. Honestly I fully expect the plan at lb is have some younger guys around and see what happens. With Wilson and Jones you got some guys with some experience and if you jabe some young depth it's the ideal situation.
