  1. Bomber fans have demonstrated time and time again that they do not have the patience required to develop a new qb.
  2. All that praise for Kent Austin but never once thinks about the fact that Austin just dumped the qb who led the league in passing last season.... Guy doesn't really strike me as a guy who shows any loyalty to a player and if you do something he doesn't like you're gone.
  3. They why do people want to run Jovon Johnson out of town on a rail? It's the same situation, older veteran leader on the downslope and fans want to ship out out ASAP. Just because we don't follow other teams as closely doesn't mean the same thing doesn't happen to players on other teams.
  4. which were the qbs he wanted.
  5. Riderfans is over ----------------------> that way.
  6. Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2014 season slogan "Proudly scraping the bottom of the barrel"
  7. I also wonder how much our OL factored into this decision. Our offense doesn't have a pocket, it has a killing floor. On the bright side, as we get our OL issues sorted out, it will be Burris taking that punishment, instead of some prized youngster like Mike Reilly who is the Future of the Franchise. I dunno I think Burris can make an o-line look better than they are, one of the things he does do well is avoid pressure in the pocket and buy time. Think of how many times you remember thinking that the Bombers should have had Burris sacked in the pocket but he managed to slip away... That's his real strength as a qb, forget the arm, he's an elusive player, that's what lets him put up the numbers he does.
  8. you clearly don't care because I've never said otherwise! I've said I'd rather go through a **** season like last year than cheer for Burris on my team, that's nothing about the guys talent level and simply a statement that he's a ******* ***** that I want no part of regardless of anything else.
  9. one of two reasons i'd love to see him as a Bomber Which one? That he might be better or you just want to watch me go crazy?
  10. I honestly would not be surprised to see Burris have a better season statiscally than Collaros anyway, I just hate Burris that much I never want to see him wear a Bomber jersey.
  11. What a story that would be. What would 17 do then? Drink heavily
  12. Please if there is a god no burris. Drew Willy please and thanks.
  13. Roughly translated "I'm desperate, I'll play anywhere I have a spot!" 17, just what are you going to do if Burris does sign here? I'm kinda curious to know because you hate him so much. I have no idea, I quite frankly don't want to think about it.
  14. he wins in the summer... other than that no, seriously did you just call Burris a winner? After all those really good Calgary teams that he did SFA with? Head outta the ass SPuds.
  15. I will agree that Winnipeg and Hamilton look like better options because there is less to no competition for the #1 spot, but if I was Collaros I wouldn't be worried about Demarco. Glenn could be competition at least for another year or two maybe, but I could see Collaros also winning the job over Glenn. Ultimately it seems as though Collaros wants starters money and to be the starter, so yes Hamilton and Winnipeg are his best options, I'd put Hamilton ahead of Winnipeg mainly due to Winnipeg being in full rebuild mode and Hamilton coming off a Grey Cup appearance and looks to be on the rise. This whole time all I've been saying is that Collaros to Winnipeg is not automatic, I pointed out Hamilton going after him early on and was laughed at basically, but look what's happening now. If people were to look at the situation objectively, would you choose Hamilton or Winnipeg ? ehh the only people who laughed were the ones who thought there was no way that Hamilton would just up and dump burris. Most reasonable people knew it was a possibility. Don't blow things out of proportion.
  16. because Ottawa took Demarco as a backup.... pretty obvious that's what they're planning on going with for their qbs. Oh sure they'll likely put in a call to Collaros but let's be honest, when the guy looks around the league for places he might start Ottawa isn't going to be there. Hamilton if they move on from Burris, Winnipeg or maybe Montreal depending on what they think of the guys they have now are the only real options where it might be a possibility. Just because someone was picked in the expansion draft doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to make the team. Desjardins stated that they wanted to avoid taking potential FA's, even to go on to state that pretty much the only reason they selected Kohlert from us, was because there wasn't much to choose from in Winnipeg. Again I'm not stating that it's guaranteed that Ottawa will look at Collaros, just saying that it is a possibility. As of right now it seems that Hamilton and Winnipeg are the only ones trying to bring in Collaros, other teams could get involved though who knows. But that's the point, they can get involved if they want but why is Collaros going to give them the same interest? He looks there and sees Glenn and Demarco to compete with, he looks at Winnipeg and sees a team that will basically give him the job, he looks at Hamilton and sees the same. THAT is what matters here.
  17. That implies that Burris actually makes decisions. I don't think he is a quick decision maker, he's just able to avoid pressure in the pocket is all.
  18. Can't be worse than the last bunch of losers? Seriously the average fan doesn't know crap about anything.

  21. This coaching staff just gets less and less inspiring as time goes on.
  22. Yes we will, as long as you accept that I am correct and that Calvillo is a piece of crap.
  23. Not at all. Some fans here feel that way, but I guarantee the average fan would be thrilled to hear we've acquired a veteran QB like Burris, 38 years old or not. I think most casual fans would be happy with either one, provided the news tells them they should be excited. The casual fans are easily pleased in the offseason. Sign someone they've heard up and blow so much smoke up their asses and they'll lap it up. Then once the team loses a game everyone is going to be screaming for people to be fired.
  24. That Ottawa Sun piece is just horrible. It's a writer trying to come up with any type of news despite no facts. Collaros wants to start so there is no way he considers going to a team that took a starter AND a #2 in the expansion draft.
  25. Do soccer players actually complain about field turf being too hard on the bodies? Cause honestly every time I've played on field turf it's just wonderful compared to the actual grass. Now maybe it's just been shitty grass fields but as a bigger guy who can get some pain in the knees and ankles running on hard surfaces those field turf fields were never any problem.
