That's only because of how bad the team was with Burke. The mess Kelly left was a big one, but at least the team seemed to have a pulse back then, with Burke leading the way there was absolutely no passion from anyone on that team and it was just ******* depressing.

Being +5 wouldn't cause many problems. It's not like they'll be relying on natural ice out there. Yeah the community I live in here in Calgary has an outdoor rink and with their cooling unit they can keep ice up to +15 degrees, surely the NHL can do likewise.

Trades are so rare in the CFL to begin with and they usually wind up being for 2nd round picks or whatever. Not sure those kinds of return are worth it now. Lose a player you can protect more right? So that extra protection likely has more value than what you're get in return.

What was wrong with Dunn? For a rookie he seemed to play pretty well. Stewart is a guy that I wouldn't write off yet either, I'd say he gets a chance to rebound cause he is that guy with good size that everyone around here seems to be screaming to find. 2003 his numbers were ok too, it was just in comparison to 01 and 02 that they looked poor. Was still over 4000 yards I believe and did win 11 games that season. I think your bias against Glenn is over looking what he did in 2007 as well, though it would be debatable.

Miller in my mind hasn't accomplished a great deal, but I'll give him credit for accomplishing two things: The fan base is excited again about the Bombers, and we have hired an HC from outside of the organization that we are receiving praise for from other CFL cities. Not praise. The media here in Calgary snickers & are for the most part disbelievers at all the hirings. They don't believe they can turn the team around. I think the rest of the league falls into that category because of the youth & inexperience. The Stamps fanbase on both fan sites feel sorry for Bomber fans. Most think we are great fans that deserve a lot better. But sports media and fans in Calgary are all ******* ******* so I wouldn't put any stock into their opinions. I actually saw someone in a Calgary paper back in 2006 make the claim that Dion Phaneuf was just as good as Chris Pronger.
